Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of life skills education at SD Muhammadiyah Demangan Yogyakarta. This research uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach with a case study design. The primary data sources in this study were the head of the madrasah, deputy student affairs, and students. Secondary data sources in this study are documents related to the research discussion. Data collection methods used are interviews, observations, and documents. Data analysis technique using triangulation. The research results obtained are the implementation of life skills education taught through 18 extracurricular activities. The implementation of life skill education at SD Muhammadiyah Demangan has implemented two specific life skills which include academic skills and vocational skills. At Muhammadiyah Demangan Elementary School, implementing life skills education gives freedom to students to choose extra activities to follow, taught in direct practice so that students gain meaningful experience. This is in line with the philosophical view of progressivism. After participating in extracurricular activities students are expected to change and improve these skills as a provision for their lives in the future.

Abstract

The progress of contemporary knowledge has implications for the formulation of Islamic studies in general, including the examination of the Qur'an. Scholars at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta are redefining the approach to studying the Qur'an in a more modern direction to foster synergy and dialogue with established practices. The objective of this research is to uncover patterns and mechanisms for advancing Qur'anic studies at UIN Sunan Kalijaga by effectively integrating scientific methods and the teachings of the Qur'an. In order to accomplish this, the research employs a qualitative methodology and utilizes a systematic literature review as an analytical technique. The study reveals a developmental pattern in Qur'anic studies at UIN Sunan Kalijaga that commenced with a shift in perspective from a traditional emphasis on religious texts (ulūm ad-din) to critical investigations (dirāsāt islamīyah) based on empirical observations. Consequently, a fresh and contemporary model of Qur'anic studies has emerged. However, the application of these novel concepts encounters challenges, particularly in student research, where passivity impedes active involvement in the advancement of Qur'anic studies.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' listening skills through project-based learning and native speakers as learning resources in higher education. This research uses a mixed research design with a quantitative and qualitative approach to test the effectiveness of learning listening skills using project-based learning. This research used a sample of 71 students studying listening skills at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang in the Arabic Language Education study program. The research results show that; 1) The effectiveness of using project-based learning in listening shows a significant increase; 2) Listening skills using project-based learning are identified as including understanding in identifying sounds, words and sentences and students are able to produce the speech they listen to through elaboration of listening and speaking skills using digital platforms. This research confirms that the use of project-based learning can improve student skills with an average increase from 69.3 to 74.7. Meanwhile, the implication in learning to listen is increasing ability in vocabulary and mastery of Arabic sentences.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze programs, policies, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, influencing factors as well as obstacles and solutions and madrasa heads in managing the quality of educators in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Washliyah Gading, Tanjungbalai City. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The data sources were obtained from five people as informants, using interview techniques, observation and documentation studies. The results of research at the Al-Washliyah Gading Private Madrasah, Tanjungbalai City, show that the madrasa head's program for the quality of educators is RPP training, the yellow book learning method based on student activity, and teacher comparative studies. The implementation of the teacher quality development program has been carried out well through the implementation of management functions, as well as the supervision and evaluation of madrasah heads has gone well through class supervision and teacher work evaluation at the end of the semester. Supporting factors for madrasah heads to manage the quality of educators are time management, funds, facilities, teacher motivation and community demands. Meanwhile, the obstacles for madrasa heads in managing the quality of educators are limited funds and lack of discipline among educators. The madrasa head's solution for managing the quality of educators is cooperation and communicating well regarding the quality of educators, namely motivating educators and expanding relationships

Abstract

Al-Jam'iyatul Al Washliyah is an Islamic educational institution in Indonesia that was founded in 1952 in Medan, North Sumatra. This institution was founded by Haji Mohd Arsyad Al Banjari to spread Islamic teachings and strengthen Muslim identity in Indonesia. Al-Jam'iyatul Al Washliyah has several branches in various regions in Indonesia. Through field study with phenomenological research, Al Washliyah was founded during the Dutch colonial period to unite Muslims and fight for Indonesian independence. They have a high commitment to education, establishing schools, and madrasas, and forming the Education, Teaching and Culture Council. This research will focus on the dynamics of the Al-Washliyah educational institution in the past, present, and future so that it can show the results of intellectual exploration among Islamic scholars (Ulama) and intellectuals regarding the dynamics of Islamic education in the classical and contemporary periods in Indonesia. This research is limited to the development of the Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Educational Institution in North Sumatra, from 2016 to 2022 in 3 Districts/Cities and history by focusing on their Ideology, Educational Typology, and Problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan kinerja sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungbalai. Adapun Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kegiatan supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan kinerja sekolah dengan melakukan supervisi langsung dan supervisi tidak langsung. Supervisi langsung dengan bentuk teguran atau bimbingan. Dan observasi tidak langsung dengan cara  mensupervisi  dari  laporan-laporan. Upaya yang dilakukan supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan kinerja sekolah dengan penentuan berbagai kebijakan yang diperlukan, pembaharuan jalan keluar berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh seluruh pegawainya dan menyediakan sarana dan prasarana bagi pengembangan sekolah. Faktor pendukung supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan kinerja sekolah adanya kesadaran dari para pegawai administrasi di sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja mereka. Dan faktor penghambat dari supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan kinerja sekolah adalah belum banyaknya bentuk-bentuk pelatihan untuk pegawai   serta masih adanya sarana yang belum maksimal.

Abstract

Every year, there is no avoiding the increase in sex-related problems in Indonesia, with children being one of the victims. Therefore, this highlights the significance of early sex education. By applying the concepts of kalam khabar and kalam insya' in verses of Qur’an, this research seeks to ascertain the notion of sex education at an early age. The approach to the research methodology is a library study technique combined with a qualitative way of content analysis. The following are the findings of this study: 1) Surah An-Nur: 30 gives directions for limiting views and upholding the opposite sex's modesty.; 2) Surah An-Nur: 31 gives directions on covering the private parts and dress etiquette.; 3) Surah An-Nur: 58–59 is an order and faidhatul khabar to ask permission to enter the parents' room, especially for children who have reached puberty.; 4) Surah Al-Isra: 32 is a prohibition against committing adultery or approaching it, and as a faidhatul khabar that adultery is a very heinous act and a very bad act in channeling biological needs. These four verses form the concept of the Islamic curriculum for sex and moral education at an early age.

Abstract

Based on the research results, it shows that there is an influence of group counseling using sociodrama techniques to increase respectful attitudes towards guidance and counseling teachers in secondary schools. From the experimental class pretest results, an average score of 26.00 was obtained, while the control class pretest score obtained an average score of 25.8. The average pretest score for the learning outcomes of both classes is relatively low, this is because in class learning they do not carry out group counseling. As we know group counseling can. apply basic thinking (learning by moving and doing, learning by talking and hearing, learning by observing and picturing, and learning by problem solving and reflecting). As well as using various learning techniques that aim to make learning more enjoyable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the activities carried out during the scout extracurricular activities in elementary schools and the elements of independence contained in each activity. The method used in this writing issystematic literature review. The information used contains the character of independence. Processliterature review This is done by searching for relevant articles, evaluating by means of data extraction and then comparing the results of the literature. The database used isgoogle scholar. The results of this study indicate that (1) the weekly activities carried out during the Scout extracurricular take place can train students' self-reliance in stages and are well embedded, (2) the elements contained in each scouting activity form a pattern of student character well too. The implications of this research are: First, the teacher is able to provide training for instilling the character of independence for students through scout extracurricular activities. Second, parents can provide full support for their children to participate in various extracurricular activities. Third, students can get used to doing things independently, without bothering other people, so that students have a tough nature and don't depend on others. Furthermore, in this study the authors explain the various kinds of extracurricular activities that have been carried out in various elementary schools to train the independence of their students, and other elements that are instilled in each activity carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of the madrasah principal in empowering the community to improve the quality of the madrasah, the role and cooperation of the madrasah principal with the committee in improving the quality of education and the empowerment of the Madrasah Committee in improving the quality of education at the Private Junior High School of the Sei Islamic Education Foundation. Tualang Raso, Tanjungbalai City. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The technique used in analyzing the data is to record data from interviews and observations. The findings of the study illustrate that the empowerment of the madrasah committee, especially in relation to improving the quality of madrasah education, has not taken place as expected, the empowerment efforts are only temporary, and the cooperative relationship between the madrasah principal and the committee is going well, meaning that there are no problems that arise so that both have a harmonious relationship and the School Committee is an independent body and does not have a hierarchical relationship with schools or other government institutions. Supporting factors in efforts to empower the madrasah committee in improving the quality of education are carried out by the madrasah principal by maximizing the functions and duties of the committee at school.
