Abstract

Management of learning values, as is known as TQM, is a procedure for continuously strengthening performance at every level of operation or process in every functional zone in a particular organization with a broad background, namely the use of human resources and a lot of existing capital. Meanwhile, "Ross and William Mantja" define TQM as the unification of functions and processes in an organizational framework in order to obtain optimal value in terms of quality of goods and income from sustainable products and services. This received a breath of fresh air with the existence of Law No. 20 of 2003, concerning the national education system. Government regulations and other laws recognize that madrasas are public schools with Islamic characteristics.Referring to the explanation above, seeing the very importance of quality management in educational institutions, and the very importance of making continuous improvements (Continuous Improvement) in Quality Culture, the researcher wants to carry out research with the title "Analysis of Continuous Improvement in Madrasah Quality Culture in Banyuwangi Regency." This research is in the form of a qualitative descriptive study seen from an educational perspective using interview, observation and documentation data collection instruments. It is called qualitative because the nature of the data collected is analyzed qualitatively, not quantitatively using certain measuring instruments.Continuous Improvement or continuous system improvement is one of the ten main elements in TQM. Every product and/or service is produced by utilizing certain processes in a system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of students' perceptions of the concept of child-friendly schools and the school literacy movement on the learning motivation of high-grade students in elementary schools. The research method used is a survey with data collection using questionnaires, while data analysis uses descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression analysis as a hypothesis test. Grade V students in four public elementary schools in Cimanggis sub-district, Depok City were selected as research samples through the use of simple cluster random sampling techniques. The results showed that all regression models tested partially had calculated values of thitung > ttabel and significance values (Sig.) < (α = 0.05) which means that there is a significant influence on students' perceptions of child-friendly schools on student learning motivation and students' perceptions of school literacy movements on student learning motivation, and the regression models tested simultaneously have Fhitung > Ftabel values and significance values (Sig.) < (α = 0.05) which This means that there is a significant influence on students' perceptions of child-friendly schools and the school literacy movement simultaneously on student learning motivation. Based on these results, the conclusions of this study are: first, students' perceptions of child-friendly schools have a significant effect on the learning motivation of grade V elementary school students; second, students' perceptions of the school literacy movement have a significant effect on the learning motivation of grade V elementary school students; third, students' perceptions of child-friendly schools and the school literacy movement simultaneously have a significant effect on the learning motivation of Grade V elementary school students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa bagaimana pelaksanaan, perencanaan dan pengawasan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa Perencanaan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di sekolah sudah dibuat dalam perencanaan jangka panjang, menengah, jangka pendek dan melibatkan semua stakeholders menyusun rencana kerja sekolah. Pelaksanaan perencanaan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, hal ini bisa dilihat dari kepemimpinan dan motivasi yang diberikan oleh kepala sekolah. Sarana dan prasarana yang cukup memadai, sedangkan Pengawasan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru sudah berjalan dan maksimal. Pemberian sanksi yang berat tidak diterapkan karena pertimbangan kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan yang diterima guru. Pengawasan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah adalah pengawasan rutin terhadap semua kegiatan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai.

Abstract

Based on the identification of several problems, namely: 1) there are still teachers who are not good at pedagogical competence, such as teachers who are still not good at designing daily learning program planning (RPPH), making learning media, 2) there are still teachers who are not good at emotional intelligence, such as teachers are not good at motivating themselves, that is they are still not good at using their deepest desire to move and guide towards the goals to be achieved, 3) there are still teachers who are not good at preparing lesson plans, implementing learning and evaluating learning which will affect teacher performance. From the identification of the problem, the formulation of the problem can be drawn, namely: 1) Does competence partially affect the performance of Raudhatul Athfal's teachers in Simalungun Regency?; 2) Does emotional intelligence partially affect the performance of teacher Raudhatul Athfal in Simalungun Regency; 3) Does competence and emotional intelligence simultaneously affect the performance of Raudhatul Athfal's teachers in Simalungun Regency? This research is quantitative with the help of the SPSS application. The method used in this study is a survey method with correlational analysis techniques. This study aims to analyze, test, and determine the effect of competency and emotional intelligence variables, partially and simultaneously on the performance of Raudhatul Athfal's teachers in Simalungun Regency. The results of the study show that competence has a partial effect on teacher performance. It can be seen from multiple linear regression analysis through the t-test that the competence variable has a Tcount of 4.893 while Ttable is 1.694 (Tcount 4.893 > Ttable 1.694) with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant influence between competence on teacher performance. There is a partial influence between Emotional Intelligence with a Tcount of 2.566 while Ttable is 1.694 (Tcount 2.566 > Ttable 1.665) with a significant level of 0.015 <0.05, meaning that there is a positive influence between Emotional Intelligence on teacher performance. There is a positive and simultaneous influence of Competency and Emotional Intelligence variables on Raudhatul Athfal's Teacher Performance in Simalungun Regency. With Fcount of 59.501 with a significant level of 0.000. (Fcount 59.501 > Ftable value 3.29 sig 0.000 <0.05).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of SBM at Darul Fikri IT Middle School, Tanjungbalai City, which includes education staff management, student management, curriculum management, facilities and infrastructure management, financial management, and relationship management with the community. This research uses qualitative research using descriptive methods. Data obtained from SMP IT Darul Fikri. Meanwhile, the data collection technique in the research is the interview method. Secondary data or data reinforcement obtained using observation and documentation methods whose data sources are from the Principal and staff at Darul Fikri IT Middle School, Tanjungbalai City. Data analysis begins by collecting all data from various sources, checking the validity of the data, presenting the data and verifying the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that the results of the implementation of school-based management at SMP IT Darul Fikri, Tanjungbalai City have gone quite well, although in its implementation there are still many obstacles and obstacles in each component of the school management sector, but this has become a motivation for the school to bring out school creativity in developing programs that are more in line with the needs and potential of schools in order to improve the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of children to do this toilet training, Toilet training provide a positive impact on child development. examples of the impact of learningtoilet training is to foster self-confidence in children, train and increase children's independence and enable children to discipline themselves. The type of research used is quantitative research, with the research design used is Quasi Experimental, namely Pretest-posttest Control Group.Based on the results of research conducted by researchers using normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests, it can be concluded that tcount< ttable, until Ha is acceptedand H0 is rejected. The percentage in the banana group (experimental class) of the test results was 32.89% for the pre-test and 68.60% for the post-test. Meanwhile, in the mango group (control class) the results of the test were 32.14% pre-test percentage and 63.75% post-test. From these two data results, it can be concluded that toilet training has an effect on the independence of children aged 5-6 years at the Erwita Educare Center.

Abstract

The traditional otok-otok game as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) based project can be used for mathematics learning. Research like this has never been done. The aim of this research is to describe students' collaborative skills through the Ethno-STEAM Project learning approach. The research subjects were 32 students with a pre-experimental research type with a one-shot case study design. Data regarding students' collaborative skills was obtained from student self-report questionnaires and data was strengthened through collaborative activity observation sheet forms. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics in the form of total scores and average percentages for each aspect or subdomain. The application of Ethno-STEAM Project learning in the context of otok-otok games produced results, namely that students' collaborative skills were in the high category 56%, in the medium category 31%, and in the low category 13%. Aspects of collaborative skills in the high category include motivation, contribution, problem-solving, time management, group dynamics, and interaction with group members. Aspects that need further development are in the categories of work quality, group support, readiness, roles, and reflection. The application of the Ethno-STEAM approach to the otok-otok game project in mathematics learning can be an alternative for developing students' collaborative skills

Abstract

This article aims to reveal how Managerial Supervision improves Teacher Discipline at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Empat. This research uses qualitative research, with research examining directly in the field. The data collection techniques used by researchers were interviews and observations with teachers and documentation carried out by researchers in the field in order to strengthen the validity of the research data. The results of these findings include five findings: 1) Managerial supervision at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Empat has been carried out well and in accordance with the goals and roles of the managers themselves, 2) Teacher discipline at the school is in the disciplined category. 3) the driving and inhibiting factors for teacher discipline in this school. Almost all the information that researchers have obtained is that there are two factors, namely from the individual himself (internal) and from leaders, co-workers or other demands (external). 4) Managerial supervision in improving teacher discipline at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Empat has had very good implications, with the supervision carried out by the principal of teachers. 5) In implementing managerial supervision, school principals have their own steps in controlling the discipline of teaching staff with persuasive actions.

Abstract

Regulatively, Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara Medan already has a number of policies related to the use of E-Learning in this university. However, the number of E-Learning classes on the E-Learning page of Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara Medan is not directly proportional to the number of lecturers and courses, including Arabic language courses in the Arabic Language Education study programme at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan Sciences. The purpose of this study is to describe the policy of using E-Learning and its implementation in learning Arabic sciences in the Arabic Language Education study programme at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive method. Data was collected using literature study, documentation, and observation. The research data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely: Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusion Drawing. Data reduction is selecting e-learning policy documents and course classes available at UIN SU Medan e-learning based on Arabic language sciences courses, so that very important, less important, and unimportant data are clustered. The data is presented in the findings and discussion related to the e-learning policy and its implementation on the UIN SU Medan e-learning page. Conclusions are drawn inductively related to the completeness of e-learning policy documents and the availability of e-learning classes in Arabic language sciences courses on the UIN SU Medan e-learning page. The results of the study show that: (1). There is a policy on the use of E-Learning at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan, in the form of Rector's Decree, Rector's Circular Letter and Guidebook (2). The policy has been implemented by a number of lecturers of Arabic Language Education Study Programme, it is proven that there are a number of E-Learning classes in Arabic language courses on the UIN SU Medan E-Learning page, although the quantity is still very low, only reaching 40%. Research findings show that the use of E-Learning at UIN SU Medan is not intended to replace face-to-face lectures in the learning process, but as an additional medium to realise effective and efficient learning.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan self control akan mempengaruhi  tingkahlaku seseorang. Siswa dengan self ontrol rendah akan berdampak pada tugas perkemabangan yang menyangkut dalam kehidupan pribadi, belajar, sosial dan karirnya. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik home room dalam meningkatkan self control siswa kelas XI IIK MAN 1 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, yakni sampel diambil berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan hasil pretest yang diperoleh terdapat 8 orang konseli yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini metode analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil uji Wilcoxon signed ranks test Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,012. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik home room dapat meningkatkan self control siswa, seperti dalam mengambil keputusan klien akan memikirkan dampak yang terjadi, klien lebih mudah dalam mengambil keputusan dan dapat mengendalikan diri dalam menggunakan handphone ketika jam pelajaran berlangsung.
