Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Leadership Style and work environment on employee performance through work motivation as a mediating variable at the Regional Secretariat of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The type of research uses descriptive and verification research. The object of this study is the employees of the Regional Secretariat of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency totaling 118 people. This study uses the PLS analysis method. Based on the results of the questionnaire on Leadership Style, namely in the good category. Then for the description of the work environment variable, the category is good. Furthermore, the description of the work motivation variable is in the high category. While the description of the employee performance variable is in the high category. Based on the results of the study, Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. The work environment has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Leadership style does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance mediated by work motivation. Work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance mediated by work motivation at the Regional Secretariat of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.

Abstract

With the advent of online transportation services, society has embraced a more modern way of life. People can easily order rides through their smartphones, making use of user-friendly apps that are accessible for both Android and iOS users. This convenience has led to widespread adoption of online transportation services among the public, especially in cities like Bandung where residents have busy schedules that rely heavily on such services. Apps like Grab and Gojek are particularly popular in Indonesia, with Grab ranking second after Gojek in terms of user base among online transportation apps in the country. Despite its popularity, Grab has experienced a 1.4% decrease in its Top Brand index. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate how the Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Perceived Price of the Grab app in Bandung influence Customer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction, based on a study involving 150 users of the app. The findings of this study are expected to guide future research and assist similar companies in designing better strategies to enhance service quality.

Abstract

An upsurge in the rate of teacher absences at Miftahul Huda Islamic Vocational School occurred during the academic year 2022-2023, necessitating an evaluation and enhancement of the school's infrastructure. Enhancing teacher job satisfaction yields numerous advantages for both teachers and students, particularly in the context of teaching and learning activities. The objective of this study is to examine endeavours to enhance teacher job happiness by concentrating on several elements of the work environment, encompassing both tangible and intangible factors. This research is characterised as quantitative and involved a total of 34 respondents. The sampling technique used was saturation sampling. The data gathering process involves the utilisation of library research and field research methodologies, along with data analysis methods such as descriptive and associative approaches. Data analysis involves the interpretation of the output table generated by the SPSS version 26 programme. This table is derived from previously processed data. The findings of this study indicate that both the tangible and intangible aspects of the work environment have a simultaneous impact on job satisfaction at Miftahul Huda Islamic Vocational School.

Abstract

This study stems from the phenomenon of investment shifting from the real sector to financial Practice with expectations of obtaining returns in the form of dividend policies. The research examines the impact of Leverage, liquidity and profitability as intermediate variables in dividend policy, for issuers listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII 70). Using several purposive sampling criteria, 25 issuers were selected as research samples. Leverage describes the company's ability to settle obligations with debt; companies with high leverage tend to retain earnings rather than distribute dividends. Liquidity reflects the company's ability to meet short-term obligations; liquid issuers tend to distribute dividends. Profitability, measured through Return on Equity (ROE), is expected to mediate the relationship between leverage and liquidity with dividend policy. According to the Trade-Off Theory, the balance between the use of debt and current assets positively impacts profitability, increasing the likelihood of dividend distribution. The research results show that leverage and liquidity have an adverse impact on dividend policy, with liquidity having a beneficial effect but not contributing to profitability, while leverage negatively affects profitability. Profitability does not significantly mediate the relationship between leverage and liquidity with dividend policy. These findings are important for investors and management in understanding the factors impacting dividend policy decisions in the Sharia capital market.

Abstract

The State Administration Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LAN) has issued Decree of the Head of the State Administration Agency Number 2 of 2023 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Structural Leadership Training Activities which is the basis for holding education and leadership training activities for administrator officials. This research will discuss the 2023 Class IV Administrator Leadership Training (PKA) activities which were held in order to meet managerial competency standards in structural civil servant positions. The method used in this research is a qualitative method to analyze the effectiveness of implementing structural leadership training activities which is based on measuring sources, processes and targets. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out through interviews, observation, literature study and documentation. The results of this research show that the implementation of managerial leadership training for the position of Administrator (PKA) Class IV in 2023 carried out by the West Java Province Human Resources Development Agency is hampered by the limited number of class observers, the ability of participants who have not yet adapted to the learning methods applied, as well as disrupting participants' concentration because they had to carry out work tasks in their work unit in between training activities, so that aspects of the process did not run optimally.

Abstract

The problem of imbalance between the number of labor force growth and available jobs is a seriousconcern in the context of education and economic development today. The phenomenon where the number of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates continues to grow but their ability to become entrepreneurs or create new jobs is still minimal highlights the importance of effective entrepreneurship education. Currently, entrepreneurship education in schools tends to only touch the surface, focusing on introducing entrepreneurial values, without giving emphasis on internalizing these values or encouraging real actions in daily life. Based on these problems, this paper will discuss how the principal's leadership and how the principal's leadership strategy in improving student entrepreneurship in SMK. The research process using literature study begins with the identification of the topic or research question to be researched. After that, researchers search for related literature through various sources of information such as libraries, online databases, and electronic journals. With great responsibility, school principals are responsible for the implementation of learning activities that can ultimately improve existing graduates, especially in the field of entrepreneurship. In line with this, some of the strategies that can be carried out by school principals in improving student entrepreneurial competence are by creating innovation, working hard in improving school quality, motivation, never giving up, and having entrepreneurial instincts.

Abstract

Increasingly tight business competition requires companies to continue to innovate in their marketing strategies. Kopi Kenangan is one of the many coffee shops that are easy to find, especially in big cities. Therefore, Kopi Kenangan needs to understand the factors that influence purchase intention in order to maintain and increase their market share. This study aims to analyze the influence of social networks, product quality, and celebrity endorsements on purchase intention at Kopi Kenangan Megamall Batam. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula, resulting in 100 respondents as research samples. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale designed to measure the variables of social networks, product quality, celebrity endorsements, and purchase intention. The results of this study indicate that social networks do not affect purchase intention, while product quality and celebrity endorsements have a significant effect on purchase intention. Therefore, Kopi Kenangan needs to develop a promotional strategy through social networks and improve product quality to increase customer purchase intention towards Kopi Kenangan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see how customer value and e-serial quality influence Tokopedia customer satisfaction in Batam City. The population of Tokopedia users or consumers in 2024 is the subject of this research. By using purposive sampling and the Lameshow formula approach, 100 respondents were selected as samples for this research. Multiple linear regression was used for data analysis, along with classic influence, hypothesis and assumption testing, as well as data quality testing. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that there is a relationship of 18.8% between electronic service quality and customer happiness. Customer satisfaction is influenced by customer value by 31%. Using coefficient of determination analysis (R2), the results show that customer value and e-service quality together explain 29.7% of the variation in customer satisfaction. In addition, the results of the t test and F test show that customer value and e-service quality together have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Tokopedia in Batam City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Brand Image and Product Quality on Repurchase Intention mediated by Customer Satisfaction on ready-to-drink packaged coffee products Luwak White Koffie in Bandung City. This study used a questionnaire as a research instrument involving 120 respondents selected using convenience sampling techniques, including in the nonprobability sampling category. Data collection was conducted in a cross-sectional or one shot study. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using verification analysis which included multiple regression analysis and sobel test. Of the seven hypotheses proposed, all hypotheses are supported by empirical data. The results showed that Brand Image has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Product Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Brand Image has no positive and significant effect on Repurchase Intention, Product Quality has a positive and significant effect on Repurchase Intention, Customer Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Repurchase Intention, and Customer Satisfaction does not mediate the effect of Brand Image or Product Quality on Repurchase Intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of job training on employee performance, with employee competency serving as a mediating variable. This quantitative research collected data through questionnaires. The respondents comprised 202 employees from the production department of PT XYZ, selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data processing employed Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM PLS), incorporating convergent validity tests, discriminant validity tests, and composite reliability tests. The analysis techniques included path coefficient analysis, R-square testing, bootstrapping, and specific indirect effect testing. The findings of this study are: (1) job training has a significant effect on employee performance; (2) job training significantly influences employee competency; (3) competency significantly impacts employee performance; and (4) competency significantly mediates the effect of job training on employee performance. This research provides new insights into the mediating role of employee competency in the relationship between job training and employee performance within the context of an mining industry. The study contributes to the body of knowledge by highlighting the importance of competency development through job training to enhance employee performance. It offers practical implications for human resource practices in similar industrial settings, emphasizing the critical role of competency as a mediator.
