Abstract

Introduction: the Covid-19 has made all aspects of life adapt to a new pattern of life. Learning method has changed to be a online distance learning. The role of parents in this methods, have agreat enough proportion for assistance, especially for elementary school-aged children. This is a additional tasks for parents, and can generate a new burden and daily stress. The patience of parents in providing assistance is needed, because it will cause violence to children, such as verbal and behavioral violence, which causes children to experience emotional abused. Objective: this research was conducted to find out how the behavior of students during the adaptation period of new habits, the influence of knowledge on Covid-19 prevention behavior and the factors that influence student behavior in preventing Covid-19. Methods: this research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional design. Data analysis using Pearson correlation test. The research sample was 285 parents assistance online learning for elementary school-aged children, with non-probability sampling method. Result: results showed that there was a significant and positive relationship correlation between stress on online learning assistance and emotional abused conducted on children, (P = 0.0005). Conclusion: parents need education about the impact of emotional abused on their children and Educational institutions need to pay attention to the level of comprehension of parents in assistance children's learning, especially in the use of systems or applications learning.

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 has developed into a global pandemic and until now no definitive therapy has been found. COVID-19 mortality is relatively high, especially in patients who have comorbidities. Convalescent plasma therapy, which has been widely used, has not been universally recognized as being able to improve the recovery of COVID-19 patients. Objective: This study aims to determine the efficacy of convalescent plasma therapy in COVID-19 patients. Methods: The research design is a systematic review and meta analysis. Data were obtained from the electronic journal database PubMed, Cochrane Library, ProQuest, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Google Scholar with Medical Subject Heading (Mesh) "Effication Plasma Convalescent Therapy, SARS CoV-2". Data were analyzed using PRISMA guidelines. Result: The results of the study: 1) There was no difference in the risk or mortality rate of Covid-19 patients given convalescent plasma therapy with those given standard therapy (OR: 1.004; CI; 0.817 - 1.234; p = 0.970), 2) The recovery rate of COVID-19 patients given convalescent plasma therapy did not differ from those given standard therapy (OR: 0.996; CI: 0.810 – 1.224; p = 0.970). Conclusion: convalescent plasma therapy did not provide sufficient efficacy in the healing process of COVID-19 patients with moderate to severe symptoms.

Abstract

Introduction: One way to treat hypertension is taking medication. Adherence in carrying out therapy (taking medication) requires a perception or health belief model (Health Belief Model) to improve the quality of life. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the health belief model and medication adherence in hypertensive patients. Methods: Correlation Study research design with a Cross Sectional approach. The sampling technique is Purposive Sampling, the sample size is 57 respondents. The research instrument used the Health Belief Model and MMAS-8 questionnaire, Spearman Rho statistical test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: Analysis with the Spearman Rho statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.000 and an error rate of ? = 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) meaning that there is a relationship between the health belief model and medication adherence in hypertensive patients who have a positive relationship with strong category relationship strength (r = 0.791). Conclusions: Factors that influence the positive relationship include long suffering from hypertension and routine control. The higher the Health Belief Model in individuals, the higher the adherence to taking medication

Abstract

Introduction: The development of communication technology has created new innovations in the field of dentistry by combining telecommunications and dentistry technology which is called teledentistry. Teledentistry is a service alternative that combines telecommunications and dentistry technology to exchange clinical information and images remotely for treatment planning and dental consultations. Objective: To analyze the relationship between patient satisfaction level and the utilization of teledentistry at the Azka Nadhifa dental polyclinic, Makassar. Methods: This study used an analytic research design with a cross-sectional research design. The statistical test used is the Spearman correlation test. The sample in this study consisted of 96 samples. Results: Based on the results of the Spearman rank correlation test, it shows a p-value of 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05 (p-value <0.05). This shows that there is a relationship between the level of satisfaction with the use of teledentistry. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study it shows that there is a relationship between the level of patient satisfaction and the use of teledentistry at the Azka Nadhifa dental polyclinic, Makassar

Abstract

Background: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a disorder in which gastric contents reflux repeatedly into the esophagus causing symptoms and/or complications that interfere with quality of life. Existing western medicine has not been able to provide maximum treatment. Objective: To determine the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbal combinations in treating GERD. Methods: This quasy-experimental study used a two-group pre-post test design. The subjects of research were 26 respondents who had been grouped by two groups namely the Acupuncture group (13 people) and the Acupuncture and Herbal group (13 people) according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The acupuncture group was given acupuncture at points ST 36 Zusanli, CV 12 Zhongwan, PC 6 Neiguan for 1 month twice a week. In the acupuncture and herbal groups, acupuncture was given as in the acupuncture group and added herbal Si ni san twice a day @3 gr for a month. Results: In the acupuncture and herbal groups the use of acupuncture points ST 36 Zusanli, CV 12 Zhongwan, PC 6 Neiguan and Si Ni San for 1 month was more effective in reducing GERDQ score by 6.08 with p value 0,001. Conclusion: The use of acupuncture and Si Ni San is more effective than acupuncture alone in lowering GERDQ score and reducing symptoms in patients with GERD

Abstract

Introduction: Pursed-lips breathing (PLB) is a breathing exercise performed on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to relieve symptoms of dyspnea so that the patient's oxygen saturation value increases, and its practice is widely taught as a breathing strategy to increase tolerance in performing activities. Objective: Determine the effect of pursed lips breathing (PLB) on increasing oxygen saturation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Method: This study used the method of literature review study. Result: Initial search results found as many as 4011 potential articles. After discarding articles identified as duplication and relevance to the topic, there were 6 articles that met the theme of the literature study, the six journals discussed the effectiveness of PLB in COPD patients. Conclusion: PLB is able to increase the patient's oxygen saturation value, so PLB intervention is recommended for COPD patients with dyspnea symptoms.

Abstract

Introduction: Stroke was the second leading cause of death in the world from 2000 to 2019, reached 11% of total deaths. Delay in pre-hospital treatment of stroke patients can lead to a reduced proportion of patients receiving recanalization therapy. Lack of family knowledge can cause families to seek help late when an attack occurs, the severity of the disease, repeated strokes even to death. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of health education about pre-hospital stroke management on the knowledge of families of stroke sufferers in the area of ?? Kartini Public Health Center, Pematangsiantar City. Method: The research sample were 40 family members of stroke sufferers. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data analy used the Wilcoxon test. Result: The results showed that majority of respondents before receiving health education had less knowledge as many as 22 people (55%), and majority of respondents had good knowledge as many as 29 people (72.5%) after being given health education, and there was an influence of health education about stroke pre-hospital management on the knowledge of families of stroke sufferers (p value 0.000). Conclusion: Health education can increase family knowledge.

Abstract

Background: Personal hygiene is one of the things that determines health status consciously in maintaining health and preventing diseases, especially disorders of the skin. Personal hygiene is very much needed and important in everyday life, especially as a student. A student is someone who is in the process of gaining knowledge or studying and is registered to be undergoing education at one of the universities. Objective: To know the Picture of Personal Hygiene Fulfillment of Level I, II and III Students in Tangerang City, Banten. Methods: The research used is descriptive research. Results: The results showed that 98.2% of treatments were in the clean category, nail and foot care in the net category of 93% of respondents. The hair care category 82.5% of respondents were in the clean category, dental and oral care 91.2 respondents were in the unclean category, ear and nose care 75.4% were in the clean category, the dressing category 70.2% of respondents were in the unclean category. Conclusions: The personal hygiene of respondents on Nail and Foot Care Skin Care, Hair Care, Ear and Nose Care Most of the respondents were in the good category, this was influenced because Most respondents began to understand how important it is to pay attention to personal hygiene. While the personal hygiene of respondents in doing Dental and Oral Care and Dressing, Mostly in the category of lacking, this can increase the risk of health problems in respondents, so personal hygiene in respondents related to Dental and Oral Care and Dressing must be improved again.

Abstract

Background: Sexually transmitted infections are diseases that are transmitted through sexual intercourse with partners who have high-risk sexual behavior, one of which is changing sex partners without using condoms. This behavior is most likely to occur by using the services of female sex workers. Objective: this study aims to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of sexually transmitted infections among female sex workers in Kupang City. Method: this study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. Results: bivariate analysis showed that the variables of individual characteristics (age, education, length of work as a female sex worker, and income) and prevention behavior of sexually transmitted infections (condom use) had a p value <0.25. After multivariate analysis, it was found that the variables of length of work and condom use had a p value <0.05. Conclusion: there is an association between individual characteristics (age, education, length of time working as a female sex worker, and income) and sexually transmitted infection prevention behavior (condom use) with the incidence of sexually transmitted infections. The variables of length of employment and condom use were significantly associated with the incidence of sexually transmitted infections among female sex workers in Kupang City.

Abstract

the care of people with mental illness, especially those who are treated at home. Botolinggo Village is one of the villages that has a mental health alert village program. This study aims to determine the description of the stigma of people with mental disorders in Botolinggo Village, Bondowoso Regency. This research design uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study were 52 respondents who were taken using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was community attitudes toward the mentally illness (CAMI). Univariate data analysis uses mean, median and standard deviation, while bivariate data uses Pearson correlation test. The results of univariate analysis show that the stigma of mental disorders in Botolinggo Village, Bondowoso Regency tends to be low and has a positive attitude towards mental health problems that exist in the community. Based on the stigma domain, the highest domain is the benevolence domain, which means that the local community has a good, sympathetic and humanist attitude towards people with mental disorders. This is assumed to be related to the age of the respondents. In addition, the existence of the Desa Siaga Sehat Jiwa (DSSJ) Program in collaboration between the Botolinggo Village Government and Muhammadiyah Jember University through the program Matching Fund 2023 made a positive contribution to community assessments and attitudes towards people with mental illness in Botolinggo Village.
