Objective : To analyze the effects of Triloka excercise on the anxiety levels in the elderly at the Husnul Khatimah Home for the Elderly. Method : A pre-experimental method and a one-group pre-post test design procedure were applied in this study. A total of 32 respondents were recruited using a purposive sampling . Respondent's anxiety levels were measured before and after doing the Triloka exercise using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) measuring instrument. The research hypothesis was tested using the Wilcoxon signed rank test with the SPSS application. Results : Before Triloka exercise, mild anxiety dominated in as many as 15 people (47%), moderate anxiety as many as 14 people (44%), severe anxiety as many as 2 people (6%), and very severe anxiety in as many as 1 person (3%). Meanwhile, after receiving the Triloka exercise intervention, 21 respondents (67%) reported no anxiety, 8 reported mild anxiety (24%), and 3 reported moderate anxiety (8%). The data analysis test found that the p-value was 0.000<0.05 and that Triloka exercise had an effect on the anxiety level of the elderly at Home for the Elderly Husnul Khatimah. Conclusion : As a result, Triloka Excercise can be used to relieve anxiety in the elderly. Keywords: Aerobic Low Impact, Anxiety, Elderly,Triloka Exercise.

Abstract

Introduction: ARV therapy is crucial for the survival of person living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). As a result, PLWHA routinely visits VCT clinics to avoid losing track of them (LTFU). One of the factors influencing the presence of PLHIV in VCT clinics is socio-economics status. Objective: The research objective was to determine a correlation between socioeconomic factors and the occurrence of LTFU in ARV therapy. Method: This type of research employed quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population was 475 respondents and the sample was 35 respondents using accidental sampling. The data normality test used the Shapiro-Wilk test followed by the Chi-Square test to analyze the correlation. Results: The univariate test results revealed that the majority of PLWHA had lower socioeconomic factors, while the majority of LTFU were on antiretroviral therapy. The Chi-Square analysis obtained p value = 0.901 > a (0.05). indicating that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected and that there is no correlation between socioeconomic factors and the incidence of loss to follow-up ARV therapy. Conclusion: There is no correlation between socioeconomic factors and the incidence of loss to follow up antiretroviral therapy at VCT Sehati clinic because it is supported by other influencing factors, namely family support, peer support, self efficacy and motivation. Abstract

Background: Gastric ulcers are stomach lesions characterized by depleted mucosa with the defect extending into the submucosa or muscularis propria. Gastric ulcers could be caused by the use of Indomethacin as an analgesic drug. Turmeric rhizome is a herbal plant that contains curcumin which has been suspected to play a role in gastric ulcer prevention. Objective: The aim of this study was to perceive the effect of turmeric rhizome juice with concentrations of 100%, 75%, and 50% on indomethacin-induced gastric epithelium image in mice. Methods: This experimental study with a Post Test Only Control design was conducted by using 25 samples of male ddY mice for 3 days intervention. Samples were divided into 5 groups, two control groups, and three intervention groups. The organ samples had been observed by assessing the gastric epithelium injury of mice on the antrum under a microscope with an objective lens 100x for eight fields of view. Results: The Kruskal-Wallis test had been used for analysis and showed a p-value of 0,025 which means it had a significant difference. Turmeric juice with concentrations of 100%, 75%, and 50% showed different effects on mice gastric epithelium image induced by Indomethacin (18 mg/kg). Conclusion: There were different effects of turmeric juice on gastric epithelium image induced by Indomethacin in mice.

Abstract

Background: Excessive consumption of monosodium glutamate can disturb digestive tract such as the duodenum. Coffee beans contain caffeine, chlorogenic acid, trigonelin, kafestol, kahweol, melanoidin, and N-methylpyridinium. Its antioxidant potential protects rats from damage to duodenal mucosal epithelium by monosodium glutamate 4 g/kgBB. Objective: To determine the effect of Robusta coffee bean extract on monosodium glutamate-induced duodenum histopatology in Sprague-dawley rats. Method: Experimental research with a post test only control group design that for 14 days intervention. The samples were divided into five groups, two control groups and three intervention groups. The calculation of epithelial damage by manual counting assisted by imageJ 2011 software in 1 slice of each sample with microscope in 40x magnification. Results: One Way ANOVA test available p value = 0.005 (p <0.05). Post Hoc LSD test on duodenal epithelial damage score showed a significant difference (p<0.05) between K- and K+ (p=0.001), K+ and P2 (p=0.004), K+ and P3 (p=0.002). Conclusion: There is an effect of Robusta coffee bean extract on monosodium glutamate-induced duodenum histopatology in Sprague-dawley rats.
