Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara iklim organisasi dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) pada guru. Subyek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 orang, merupakan guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mojolaban Sukoharjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara variabel iklim organisasi dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan skor korelasi rxy = 0,500 dengan p= 0,000 (p<0,01).Kata Kunci : iklim organisasi, OCB, guruPermalink :

Abstract

Self-perceived employability is individual’s perceived ability to get sustainable employment appropriate to one’s qualification level. Previous researches demonstrated the importance of self-regulation in shaping self-perceived employability in emerging adulthood, when career aspirations have a significant role in career-related decision-making process. However, the relationships between career aspirations, self-regulation, and self-perceived employability among university students were rarely known. This study examined a theoretical model, whether self-regulation served as a partial mediator between career aspirations and self-perceived employability. Using a convenience sampling, we involved 600 university students who were at their second, fourth, sixth, eighth, and tenth semester (68% female, M age = 19.97 years; SD = 5.57) from a university in Semarang. Structural equation modeling demonstrated that career aspirations were associated with self-perceived employability directly and indirectly via self-regulation. It means, the higher students career aspirations, the better their self-regulation and self-perceived employability. Self-regulation also leads to higher self-perceived employability. We interpreted the findings of this study form developmental and goal-setting perspective. To promote self-perceived employability, students are recommended to boost their career aspirations and develop a good self-regulation skill.

Abstract

This paper presented an overview about bullying, multidimentional assessment, and social intervention. Bullying is an act of repeated aggressive behavior in order to intentionally hurt another person physically or mentally. Bullying is characterized by an individual behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person. Behaviors may include name calling, verbal or written abuse, exclusion from activities, exclusion from social situations, physical abuse, or coercion. Bullying in schools sometimes consists of a group of students taking advantage of, or isolating one student in particular and gaining the loyalty of bystanders who want to avoid becoming the next victim. To comprehensively understand about bullying, professional helpers (psychologist, counsellor, and social worker) need to do a multidimentional assesment. Based on this issue, this paper suggested three intervention programs to prevent and combating the bullying behavior in the schools is Citizens’ Responsibility Program.Keywords: school, bullying, assessment, intervention

Abstract

Career commitment is a motivation, attitude, and behavior shown by individuals in a profession to live and survive in the chosen career role. Career commitment has three dimensions, namely career identity (career identity), career planning, and career resilience. Career Commitment Measure (CCM) is an instrument measuring career commitment which has been used widely across countries. To use the instrument in different culture, the adaptation process is necessary so that the adapted instrument becomes valid and reliable. However, there is still little detailed information related to research that focuses on developing career commitment measurement tools, especially in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to obtain a standardized version of Indonesia's career commitment measurement tool. The International Test Commission (2016) guideline was used in the process of adaptation. Based on the results of the CFA analysis using the AMOS 22 program, it can be concluded that the overall career commitment model with indicators consisting of three dimensions, namely career planning, career identity and career resilience, has a good fit model. The null hypothesis means that the career commitment model of goodness of fit is acceptable. This explains that the resulting model can describe the actual conditions.

Abstract

Verbal creativity is the ability to think fluent, flexible, and original that manifested through the words. Psychological freedom is one factor that can develop creativity. One alternative teaching methods that provide freedom in an atmosphere of learning is the Problem Posing Method (PPM) which is triggered by Paulo Freire. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of the influence of PPM on verbal creativity. Characteristic of the subjects was junior high school students in grade 7th, received conventional learning materials, and have never had learning by using PPM. This study used a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Subjects in the study were divided into two, experimental group (N = 33) and control group (N= 35). The data was collected using the Verbal Creativity Test. The results of hypothesis testing used Independent Sample T Test techniques showed the differences of mean = 3.294, α = 0.014 with (p<0.05).Keywords: Verbal creativity, problem posing method, a test of verbal creativity, junior high school students

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi merupakan individu yang rentan mengalami stres. Mahasiswa yang mengalami stres cenderung mengalami gangguan dalam fungsi fisik, emosi, kognitif, dan tingkah laku. Salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan stres pada mahasiswa yang menyusun skripsi adalah hubungan interpersonal yang kurang harmonis dengan dosen pembimbing. Hubungan interpersonal yang kurang harmonis antara mahasiswa dengan dosen pembimbing terjadi karena adanya komunikasi interpersonal yang tidak efektif. Komunikasi interpersonal yang tidak efektif menyebabkan adanya kecemasan dan ketegangan pada diri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efektivitas komunikasi mahasiswa-dosen pembimbing utama skripsi dengan stres dalam menyusun skripsi pada mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 70 mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi, Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Diponegoro, yang sedang menyusun skripsi minimal tiga bulan dihitung dari tanggal pendaftaran di biro skripsi, telah melakukan bimbingan dengan dosen pembimbing utama. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala, yaitu skala stres dalam menyusun skripsi yang terdiri dari 28 aitem (α= 0,9064) dan skala efektivitas komunikasi mahasiswa-dosen pembimbing utama skripsi terdiri dari 32 aitem (α;= 0,9187). Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan hasil rxy = -0,541 dan p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara efektivitas komunikasi mahasiswa-dosen pembimbing utama skripsi dengan stres dalam menyusun skripsi pada mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi, Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Diponegoro. Efektivitas regresi dalam penelitian ini sebesar 0,293, artinya stres pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi di Program Studi Psikologi UNDIP 29,3% ditentukan oleh faktor efektivitas komunikasi mahasiswa-dosen pembimbing utama skripsi, sedangkan 70,7% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diungkap dalam penelitian ini.   Kata Kunci: efektivitas komunikasi mahasiswa-dosen pembimbing utama skripsi, stres dalam menyusun skripsi.

Abstract

Happiness at work is one of important aspects need to be developed by individuals from any kind of profession. One of those profession is lecturer. Lecturer with happiness at work tends to be more productive and produce new and innovative ideas. This study aims to understand career happiness plan profile among lecturers. A descriptive study was conducted on 13 lecturers. Developmental goals measurment called Career Happiness Plan was used in this study to give information about factors contributed to lecturers’ happiness as well as information about how lecturers cope with stress, crisis, and change or challenge situation at workplace. The result showed that factors affected happiness on lecturers were relationship to others, full engagement, meaning finding (spirituality), and career development.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian pendahuluan ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran makna keluarga di daerah Jawa Tengah pesisir (Semarang, Demak, dan Kendal). Selain itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui makna keluarga ditinjau dari status keluarga, usia, tingkat pendidikan, dan jenis pekerjaan. Jumlah subjek penelitian ini adalah 425 orang, dengan rincian 212 anak remaja akhir dan 33 orangtua. Analisis konten, kategorisasi, dan tabulasi silang digunakan untuk menganalisa hasil penelitian ini. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah terungkap enam katagorisasi makna keluarga (keluarga sebagai orang-orang terdekat; keluarga adalah harta paling berharga; keluarga adalah segalanya; keluarga merupakan tempat/wadah; keluarga adalah bagian terpenting; serta keluarga adalah kehidupan). Selain itu, dijelaskan bahwa perbedaan makna keluarga memiliki kaitan dengan usia (chi-square = 47,735; p<0,05) dan status di dalam keluarga (chi-square = 20,094; p<0,05). Orangtua dan anak remajanya memiliki perbedaan dalam memaknai keluarga. Abstract

Teenager’s activities in the online social networks, influenced by the nature of teenager’s characteristic who tends to look for a good impression from others. This study examined the effects of coping strategies and self-esteem on the teenagers’ self-disclosure on online social networking. In total, 185 adolescents participated the study; they were identified using the purposive sampling. The sample characteristics were having a social media account and an active user of social media. The Revised Self-Disclosure Scale, the Self-Esteem Scale, and the Ways of Coping Checklist were used to collect data.  The results of regression analysis showed that there is a positive and significant correlation of coping strategies and self-esteem on adolescents’ disclosure in online social networking.

Abstract

Performance appraisal is a systematic, formal and evaluative description about employee’s work quality to standardize an individual or team work behavior. It is an important system and process to personnel and human resource management. When communicated inappropriately, it can impede the organization success and employees’ chance in planning their career with the company where they work. This research aimed to evaluate and develop existed performance appraisal system and described the process of development appraisal system of retail and marketplace. Interviews, observations, and company’s documents were conducted to gather empirical information regarding the needs of developing new appraisal system. Grote’s performance management strategy was used to analyze the evaluation and development which produced a new performance appraisal system and enabled to mapping employee’s ability for their promotion’s opinion.Keywords: evaluation and development, performance appraisal system, retail and marketplace
