Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik salah satunya disebabkan oleh kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan tidak mendukung peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, seperti  media pembelajaran yang belum mampu merepresentasikan materi menjadi lebih mudah sehingga tingkat pemahaman cenderung rendah, salah satu media yang dapat digunakan yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan materi ke dalam teknologi berupa multimedia interaktif . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan multimedia interaktif sebagai komponen TPACK dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik pada materi sistem ekskresi. Penelitian ini menggunaan metode  ­pre-experimental dengan desain one-grup pretest-posstest.   subjek yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI MIPA 2 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 28 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil perhitungan N-gain didominasi dengan kategori peningkatan tinggi (50% peserta didik) (0,7≤ N-gain ≤1,00 Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan multimedia interaktif sebagai komponen TPACK dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi sistem ekskresi.One of the reasons for the low critical thinking ability of students is that the learning activities carried out do not encourage students to think critically, such as learning media that has not been able to represent material more easily so that the level of understanding tends to be low, one of the media that can be used is by integrating material into in technology in the form of interactive multimedia . The purpose of this study was to determine the use of interactive multimedia as a TPACK component in improving students' thinking skills on excretory system material. This study used the pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, the subject used was class XI MIPA 2 with a total of 28 students. The results showed that the results of the N-gain calculation were dominated by the high improvement category (50% of students) (0.7≤ N-gain ≤1.00) thus indicating that the increase in critical thinking was in the high category. The conclusion in this study is that the use of interactive multimedia as a TPACK component can improve students' critical thinking skills in excretion system material.

Abstract

Sustainability competencies can be developed through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) whose implementation will be helped by appropriate teaching materials. The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions and initial knowledge of students, conditions, and difficulties experienced, as well as the form of teaching materials that can facilitate students to achieve competence in biotechnology courses. This descriptive quantitative research was conducted on 30 students who had taken biotechnology courses at the Department of Biology, Universitas Negeri Malang purposively. Data collection using survey techniques and review of Semester Learning Plan documents. The survey results were analyzed descriptively using percentages. The results showed that 83.3% of students ranked biotechnology in the field of biorefinery as the most difficult material to understand in biotechnology, 83.3% of students thought that textbooks were teaching materials that were considered to make it easier to understand biotechnology material, and the main problem felt by 53.3% of students while undergoing biotechnology courses was difficulty in accessing appropriate teaching materials. In addition, the low number of students (13.3%) who apply the knowledge they have obtained during college to support sustainability in the community around their place of residence. So, it can be concluded that ESD-oriented textbooks with material content of fermentation technology applications in the biorefinery field need to be developed.

Abstract

This study aims to increase student learning motivation using Augmented Reality (AR) media in the context of science learning. The research method used was collaborative classroom action research with research subjects consisting of XI MIPA 1 students at SMA Negeri 9 Bogor City. This study used learning motivation questionnaires as a measuring tool, with indicators that included confidence in self-ability, learning strategies that activate students, the meaning of science learning, achievement, and learning environment stimuli. Augmented Reality media was developed using the Halo AR application and applied to learning plant tissue structure and function material (KD 3.3 and 4.3) and animal tissue structure and function (KD 3.4 and 4.4). The results showed that the application of AR media in learning has succeeded in increasing the average learning motivation of students by 0.6 points, which increased from 2.41 to 3.01 in the 2nd action cycle. Based on the results of this collaborative classroom action research, it can be concluded that the use of Augmented Reality media is effective in increasing the learning motivation of students in class XI MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bogor. These results make an important contribution to developing innovative and more engaging learning strategies and can lay the foundation for developing broader technology-based education in the future.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka menjadi kurikulum terbaru tahun 2022 yang telah ditentukan oleh kemendikbud. Implementasi kurikulum merdeka sejalan dengan prinsip pembelajaran abad 21, meliputi kecakapan literasi dan penggunaan media teknologi secara optimal. Literasi digital menjadi salah satu kemampuan pembelajaran abad 21 yang perlu diintegrasikan dalam proses pembelajaran, salah satu caranya dengan menyajikan bahan ajar yang berbasis digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk e-modul pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum merdeka dan literasi digital pada materi keanekaragaman hayati SMA kelas X. Jenis penelitian ini ialah Research and Development (R&D), dengan mengikuti prosedur pengembangan model 4D. Model pengembangan 3D memiliki tahap define, design,dan develop.. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil validasi ahli dan data kualitatif berupa saran dan masukan dari ahli. Hasil validasi ahli materi sejumlah 74% (layak), ahli bahan ajar sejumlah 79% (layak), ahli literasi digital 91%. Produk dilakukan uji coba terhadap guru biologi sebagai praktisi dan kelas X-E4 sebagai responden. Hasil penilaian praktisi pendidikan sejumlah 96% (layak) dan respon siswa 85% (sangat menarik). Berdasarkan hasil uji coba tersebut produk dapat dikatakan layak dan menarik untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar.

Abstract

The passage highlights the significance of creative thinking skills as an essential component of 21st-century education, alongside critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills, collectively known as the 4Cs. The research aims to develop evaluation instruments to enhance students' creative thinking skills in reproductive system material. This topic involves contextual health content, requiring creative thinking to address it. The four indicators for creative thinking skills include fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The research and development (R&D) method is employed in this developmental study. The passage describes the process of creating 10 questions based on curriculum achievements, followed by validation by experts and a final stage of testing the questions on 40 ninth-grade science students at MAN 2 of Bandung. The results indicate that one question was accepted without revisions, six questions were accepted with revisions, and three questions were rejected. The reliability of the questions reached a score of 0.73, categorized as high, meaning the questions consistently provided similar measurement results. The students' answers to the evaluation questions require creative thinking skills, indicating that these questions effectively train those skills.

Abstract

Metacognitive skills help students think, manage their knowledge, analyze and solve problems, understand their learning methods and strategies, and think critically. Guided inquiry learning trains students to think critically, analyze, evaluate, and build information based on their acquired knowledge. This study aims to investigate students' metacognitive skills through guided inquiry learning on the material of Plant Structure and Function. The type of research used is Pre-Experiment with One-Group Pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used saturated samples with a sample size of 19 students. The research instruments used were pretest and posttest questions on metacognitive skills with planning, monitoring, and evaluation indicators. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon non-parametric test. The results of the increase in cognitive skills in the pretest and posttest were indicated by the N-gain value of 0.59 with the Medium category. The results of the data analysis obtained the Asymp value, sig < 0.5, which is 0.00, which means that HI is accepted. This shows that learning using guided inquiry can affect students' metacognitive skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan 4C (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication) setelah menggunakan lembar aktivitas perhitungan laju pertumbuhan populasi mikroba berbasis proyek pada pembuatan Nata de Dragon dan kelayakan lembar aktivitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode pre experimental dengan bentuk one grup pretest-posttest yaitu membandingkan keterampilan 4C siswa sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan perlakuan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan 4C siswa setelah diterapkannya lembar aktivitas perhitungan laju pertumbuhan populasi mikroba. Lembar aktivitas tersebut setelah divalidasi ahli dan diuji coba layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan 4C.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of integrating local wisdom in biology learning on waste management at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Jawahir, Bandung Regency. A qualitative approach using the case study method is used to understand how applying local wisdom values such as cooperation, ngamumule, sabilulungan, and sampurasun in waste management practices influences students' understanding of biology and the environmental conditions of madrasas. Research subjects included madrasah principals, biology teachers, and students actively involved in this program. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with madrasa heads and biology teachers, direct observation of waste management activities, documentation through activity notes and visual media, and questionnaires to measure students' understanding of biological material related to waste management. Data were analyzed using the thematic analysis method to identify main patterns and themes from interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The research results show that integrating local wisdom in biology learning at MA Al-Jawahir has had a significant positive impact. The practice of composting and recycling waste not only reduces the amount of organic waste and improves environmental cleanliness but also provides economic benefits through the sale of compost. The majority of students demonstrated a good to excellent understanding of biology in the context of waste management, according to the results of a questionnaire categorized into four levels of experience. In conclusion, the integration of local wisdom in biology education can provide an effective and sustainable solution to overcoming the waste crisis in accordance with Bandung Regency regional regulations, which encourage the active participation of educational institutions in preserving the environment. Research recommends continuing to develop this program in the curriculum and extracurricular activities and involving more parties to create a clean and healthy environment for all.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran audio-comic berbasis aplikasi canva pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup yang difokuskan pada tingkat SMP terutama kelas VII di SMP YPPK Santu Paulus Abepura. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan pengembangan media pembelajaran audio-comic menggunakan Canva terhadap materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup, serta untuk mengetahui respon guru dan peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran audio-comic berbasis canva pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Model pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Pada tahap develop peneliti melakukan uji kelyakan oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan uji dan uji coba dalam skala kecil dengan jumlah 15 orang peserta didik dan uji coba dalam skala besar dengan jumlah 35 orang peserta didik. Hasil dalam penelitian ini memperoleh nilai sebesar 92,5% ahli materi menyatakan sangat layak, 79,85% ahli media pertama menyatakan sangat layak dan 55,86% ahli media kedua mengatakan layak. Hasil angket respon siswa dan guru terhadap media pembelajaran audio-comic berbasis canva pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup dengan respon sangat menarik. Hal ini dilihat dari 97,33% respon guru menyatakan sangat menarik, uji coba kelompok kecil 90,27% menyatakan sangat menarik dan kelompok besar 91,58 % peserta didik menyatakan sangat menarik yang artinya pengembangan media pembelajaran audio-comic berbasis aplikasi canva pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup ini layak menjadi bahan atau media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Misunderstanding concepts in Biology learning can hinder the process of knowledge reception and assimilation in students, potentially impeding their academic achievement. This study aims to explore student misconceptions using concept maps. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Tangerang Selatan (State Islamic High School 1 South Tangerang) in October 2022. The material used to explore misconceptions was the human reproductive system, which students had previously studied. A qualitative descriptive method was employed in this study. Purposive sampling was used as the sampling technique. Data were collected using the Student Worksheet for Concept Map Compilation and Creation instrument, which contained instructions for creating concept maps, preceded by an explanation of concept maps, their characteristics, examples, and steps for creating them. Clarification interviews were also conducted to clarify misconceptions revealed in the students' concept maps. Student concept map answers were analyzed based on categories of knowing concepts, misconceptions, and not knowing concepts. The results from the concept map creation test and clarification interviews showed that students experienced misconceptions regarding human reproductive organ concepts, gametogenesis, fertilization, pregnancy, menstruation, and breastfeeding. Students exhibited the most misconceptions regarding the concept of Fertilization. Thus, concept maps can be used as an evaluation tool for misconceptions experienced by students
