Abstract

Green House is a program of character education development efforts concerned about the environment in vocational school 2 Muara Enim. The object of this research is Green House in developingconscious environment of character education. The results of the research through observation, interviews and documentation showing students in character education development efforts concerned about the environment goes well, visible from the school atmosphere that is clean, tidy, beautiful and workimg together, look learners responsible and caring in keeping the school environment. Learning activities are no longer merely excavation of knowledge but at the same time utilizing the environment as a medium of learning, school residents are also encouraged to develop efforts to improve the management and quality of the environment both inside and outside school.

Abstract

This research aimed at determining the influence of teacher professionalism and headmaster supervision on teacher performance. This has implemented in SMP Negeri Sub Rayon 16 Sukarami District Palembang City. The quantitative is used for this research. Simple and multiple regression are used for this research methodology. The sample was 113 teachers of SMP Negeri Sub Rayon 16 Sukarami District Palembang City. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire. The result found that (1) there is significant influence of teacher professionalism on teacher performance; (2) there is significant influence of headmaster supervision on teacher performance; and (3) there is significant influence for both teacher professionalism and headmaster supervision on teacher performance.

Abstract

Currently, happened the competition of universities both state (PTN) and private (PTS) in Indonesia for gaining students. This study aimed at analyzing the promotional strategies, effectiveness, and inhibiting factors of promotion by using mixed method. Subjects in this study consisted of promotion team and prospective new students in PGRI University of Palembang as many as 53 people. Data were collected through interview and questionnaire, then analyzed by using data triangulation technique and regression test technique. The results showed that the promotion strategy undertaken by PGRI University of Palembang was Advertising, Personal Selling, Publicity, and Word of Mouth. Partial advertisement is the most influential variable (34,4%) whereas the least influence variable was Publicity (19,3%). Advertising Variables, Personal Selling, Publicity, and Word of Mouth simultaneously have a significant effect on the increase of the students by 65.6% while the remaining 34.4% was influenced by other variables. The inhibiting factors of promotional activities were insufficient promotional funds, lack of human resources in the field of communication science, as well as interpersonal communication that is less harmonic among employees. Keywords: Promotional Strategies; the Increase of the Students, PGRI Univerity of Palembang

Abstract

This study aimed at describing 1) implementation of school policy in tackling juvenile delinquency in SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Rawabening; 2) supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing school policy implementation. This research is qualitative research. This research was conducted in SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Rawabening with research subjects is headmaster, student, teacher, and class guardian. Data collection techniques were interview, observation and document study. Data analysis technique using Miles and Hubberman interactive model. The results showed that 1) implementation of school policy in tackling delinquency teenagers composed in curative countermeasures in the form of socialization provided from the Department of Education of South Sumatra; Police; as well as the National Narcotics Agency. Representative efforts in the form of school rules that are applied in everyday life and must be obeyed by learners. Preventive efforts include reprimands for students who violate school rules. 2) supporting factor was high commitment of all school residents and parents, relationships are woven, and active participation of all parties. Inhibiting factors were resources that are not optimal, differences in inter-educator handling, and less strict punishment.

Abstract

The background of this research originated from conditions that show literacy ability Indonesian students still relativity low and must be improved. Based on findings in 2016, Puspendik Kemdikbud in the Indonesian National Assessment Program (INAP) test reading skills, the result is 46,83% in the less category, 47,11% in sufficient category, and 6,06% in good category. This problem confirm that the government must implement a specific strategy so that the reading ability of students increasesby following up on the school program which is accommodated in the literacy movement. This researce is descriptive qualitative research type with data collection thechniques in the form of observation, documentation, and interview. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. The results of this study indicate the role of the principal in the success of literacy programs that is a) socialize policies school literacy movement through meeting; b) make a decision letter for the school literacy team; c) provide a reading corner in the class and library; d) always reminding related programs; e) allocate funds for the procurement of books; f) hold competitions; g) requires students to read books every day for 15 minutes before starting class hours.

Abstract

This study found out the application of fingerprint attendance to improve employee work discipline at SMA 2 Batang Kapas. In this study, we used qualitative descriptive method, illustrates the phenomenon of the application of fingerprint-based attendance to improve employee work discipline at the SMA 2 Batang Kapas School. The results obtained indicate that (1) fingerprint attendance system is very easy to use; (2) the presence of fingerprints can make employees avoid cheating; (3) the application of fingerprint attendance to improve employee work discipline has run quite well although there are still some shortcomings.

Abstract

Human resource is an investment which necessary for organization to reach its goals. One way to reach goals of organization is by developing human resources. The Development of human resources represent activities which need to be done by company, so that knowledge and ability of employees as according to work demand. One of the effort in human resources development is by knowing motivation which increases employees performance. This research conducted by observation, interview and distribution of questionnaire. Instrument tested by measuring its reliability and validity. To test interrelations and contribute factors that happened between variables used by simple regression. Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the implementation of school literacy movement (GLS) as a character of educational formation. This research was qualitative that produces descriptive data in the form of words written or spoken of people and observed behavior. While, the type of research was a case study. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results of the research were school literacy movement was able to access, understand, and use through reading. Implementation of the school literacy movement in SMK Negeri 1 Tanah Abang run well by involving the school community (learners, teachers, principals, education personnel, school supervisors, school committee, parents of learners), and stakeholders under the coordination of the Directorate General Primary and Secondary Education Ministry of Education and Culture.

Abstract

In general, the BOS funds program aims to ease the burden on the community on the financing of education in the context of quality 9-year compulsory education, and this paper aims to find out the beneficiaries of BOS funds at SD Negeri No. 24/II Dusun Koto Jayo Pelepat Ilir Kabupaten Bungo. This paper using descriptive methods with a qualitative approach and using 17 informants. From the results of the interview, it was found that Dusun Koto Jayo Pelepat Ilir Kabupaten Bungo had gone well. Where the utilization BOS funds to finance new student admission administration, purchase of teacher learning reference books and purchase the books for libraries; financing remedial and extracurricular activities; financing tests/examination and learning outcomes; power and service subscriptions; school maintenance fees; honorarium paying honor teachers and honorary education personnel; allocation of BOS funds for poor students and transport fee assistance for poor students; teacher development and profession; financing BOS fund management; and purchasing computer.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of leadership of headmaster and facilities toward job satisfaction to the Public Elementary School of Tanjung Raja. This study was kuantitatif method. The population was all the teacher of State Elementary School of Tanjung Raja. Sample taken by cluster sampling method was 86 teachers. The data collected by documentation, questionaire and observation. The data were analyzed by using regresi with SPSS programme. This study showed there was any influance leadership of headmaster toward job satisfaction to the state Elementary School of Tanjung Raja. There was any influence of facilities toward job satisfaction to the state Elementary School of Tanjung Raja and The conclusion there was any influence of leadership of headmaster and facilities toward job satisfaction to the state Elementary School of Tanjung Raja.
