Abstract

The students’ competence at college need to be equipped with entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurship education to form a high entrepreneurial resilience. College students usually do not have career orientation yet, which is aimed after graduation. They frequently feel confused about starting entrepreneurship because they lack entrepreneurial insight during college. This paper investigated the phenomenon of entrepreneurial resilience of college students and the evaluation of entrepreneurship course delivery for students at all college departments. The method used was a phenomenology study with students as subjects determined through an incidental sampling technique. The data collection techniques were observation and interview. The research results showed no difference in entrepreneurial resilience between males and females, but social experiment strongly influenced their motivation and interest in entrepreneurship. All subjects felt that discussing problems with friends was essential in entrepreneurship during college. Most subjects stated that they lacked insight related to entrepreneurship at college. The research also found that the students’ entrepreneurial resilience was in the medium category. This research recommends that evaluation is required for developing an entrepreneurship course at college concerning entrepreneurship orientation and entrepreneurial resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning agility model for special mentor teachers in terms of its relationship with self-efficacy and emotion regulation. This study uses correlational quantitative methods with correlation and regression analysis types by making self-efficacy and emotion regulation as independent variables and learning agility as the dependent variable. The population of this study was special supervising teachers in Muhammadiyah inclusive schools in Sidoarjo Regency aged 20-40 years with a total of 50 people taken through saturated sampling technique. The measuring instruments used in this study amounted to 3 psychological scales, including: adaptation of the Learning Agility scale, adaptation of General Self Efficacy to determine the self-efficacy of special mentor teachers, and to determine the emotion regulation of special mentor teachers using adaptation of the Emotion Regulation Scale. This study concluded that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and learning agility (rxx' = 0.345, p = 0.014 <0.05). Meanwhile, emotion regulation did not find a significant relationship with learning agility (rxx' = 0.183, p = 0.203>0.05). The regression analysis results show that f count = 3.210 (p = 0.049<0.05), this value indicates that the hypothesis is accepted. This means that together self-efficacy and emotion regulation have a significant influence on learning agility. However, the influence of the two variables, which is self-efficacy and emotion regulation, is only able to predict 12% of learning agility.

Abstract

Young adults need social support to achieve happiness and prevent self-isolation during the quarter-life crisis phase. This study examines the relationship between social support and happiness in young adults experiencing a quarter-life crisis using a quantitative approach. The sample, consisting of 209 participants, was selected through purposive sampling and screening methods that met specific criteria. The research utilized a happiness scale and a social support scale, with validity tests confirming that no items were excluded. Data analysis using Kendall’s Tau correlation test resulted in 0.359 > r-table 0.114 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a positive relationship between friendship quality and happiness in young adults facing a quarter-life crisis. These findings suggest that higher social support correlates with greater happiness, whereas lower social support corresponds to lower happiness levels.

Abstract

Abstract

Recently, studies related to mental health have switched focus toward mental well-being promotion among all age groups, including students in high school level. Taking into account several factors that influence mental well-being, this study investigated mental health literacy (MHL), mental health promoting knowledge (MHPK), and resilience. This research aims to examine the predicting effect of MHL and MHPK on mental well-being, mediated by resilience. A total of 792 participants, who were recruited conveniently from a private school in Semarang, Indonesia, completed several instruments named MHLQ-SV, MHPKS, BRS, and WEMWBS. Results presented that both MHPK and MHL predict the level of high school students’ mental well-being mediated by resilience. Furthermore, MHPK was observed to contribute more to mental well-being compared to MHL. Hence, mental health intervention programs should incorporate a positive psychology approach to ensure the effectivity of the programs on resilience, leading to mental well-being enhancement.

Abstract

Social media has become a platform that influences people's lifestyles and consumption patterns. Consumerist behavior is often triggered by various psychological factors, such as the bandwagon effect, where individuals are driven to follow trends to feel accepted and self-control, which plays a crucial role in managing impulsive consumption. This study is a quantitative research that aims to analyze the influence of the bandwagon effect and self-control on consumerist shopping behavior on social media. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire survey targeting Generation Z, with a total of 280 respondents participating in this study. The collected data was processed and tested using the Normality Assumption Test and Regression Test. The results show that the bandwagon effect (X1) has a positive and significant impact on consumerist behavior (Y), where the tendency to follow trends or others' actions encourages individuals to make purchases without deep consideration. Meanwhile, self-control (X2) is found to have a negative and stronger influence on consumerist behavior (Y) compared to the bandwagon effect (X1). Individuals with high levels of self-control are able to manage impulses, resist external pressure, and make more rational decisions, leading to lower consumerist behavior. These findings indicate that self-control (X2) plays a crucial role in mitigating the negative effects of the bandwagon effect (X1), especially in the context of online shopping on platforms like TikTok.
