Abstract

This study examines the issue of reference value-oriented analysis for counseling program development in facilitating the identity formation of prospective counselors. The special purpose of the study is to map the students' reference value orientations and vocational identity status. The study design used in this research is a cross-sectional survey. The subject of study is 81 psychology department of education and counseling students who are proportional randomly selected based on their class and sex. Reference value orientation instrument is used as a means of collecting data refers to Spranger theory, IONIR models, which developed by  Kartadinata (1998). Vocational identity status instruments refer to the concept of Marcia to measure the manner or style in facing identity issues which are based on high or low exploration and commitment in using vocational domain and Adolescence's Vocational Identity : adaptation of the Occupational Identity Scale (OIS), which is developed by Feliciano H Veiga and Helia Moura (2005). The study shows that students' value orientation reference is spread on a wide range of values. Orientation priority lies in the economic, scientific, social, and religious. Meanwhile, based on active status, student vocational identity is also still spread with the greatest proportion of the low-status identity. Students who have high identity status at the beginning tend to be oriented on the value of themselves as individuals, then human values as a society. On the contrary, students who have lower status prefer identity value associated with human beings as members of society than oriented human value as an individual.

Abstract

This effort theoretically examined the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on students’ mental health. It evaluated the roles of school-based counselors in providing mental health services to them through e-counseling since the ongoing pandemic requires physical distancing as a means of controlling the spread of Coronavirus.  Psychological disturbances among students are expected to be high due to the psychosocial disruptions produced by prolongs isolation, and other challenges attributable to the pandemic. Professionals in various disciplines have adopted e-platforms to carry out their activities. Thus, this effort sought to engage counselors with the necessity of embracing e-therapy to foster students’ mental wellbeing. Thus, the essentiality of a paradigm shift from conventional counseling to online counselling cannot be overstressed; issues of policy in the administration of guidance and counseling in a Covid-19 era are crucial. Therefore, the need to put in place policy guidelines for online counseling to enhance effective delivery of counseling services with ethical values in view cannot be overemphasized. It is hereby recommended, among others, that counseling bodies worldwide need to rub minds to share knowledge and skills on how to reposition counseling to meet the emerging and peculiar counseling needs of students.

Abstract

This research aims to test the relationship between stress level and adaptive performance TNI-AL (Indonesian National Army Navy) and the impact of resilience as a moderator variable. The measures applied a 4‐point scale response ranging from 1 (very inappropriate or strongly disagree) to 4 (very suitable or strongly agree). Respondents were 71 TNI-AL assigned to the Outer Islands of Indonesia. This research uses a quantitative method with Moderated Regression Analysis technique (MRA) for data analysis. The analysis results show a B value of -1.104 and a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05), which means a negative relationship between stress level and adaptive performance. Meanwhile, the moderator variable shows a significance value of 0.904 (p>0.05), which means that the resilience variable cannot explain the relationship between stress levels and adaptive performance of TNI-AL assigned to the Outer Islands of Indonesia.

Abstract

The study aimed to conduct a Rasch analysis of the Edward Personality Preferences Schedule (EPPS)  to evaluate and enhance the instrument's precision. Responses of 3.125 students in West Java, Indonesia, were subjected to Rasch analysis using the partial credit Rasch model. The Initial analysis supported the use of the Rasch model, and acceptable reliability (person separation index= 0.82) was observed. By creating super-items, a local dependency between items increased model fit, reliability (person separation index =0.85), and unidimensionality. Infit and outfit statistics for all items satisfied the criterion for construct validity. Almost all items except (17, 97, 126) had suitable point-measurement correlation, reflecting content validity. Item characteristic curves indicated that What evenly distributed roughly 225 items along the person ability continuum. The modified EPPS showed excellent reliability for a measure in assessing the overall potential ability of the students. The item would be added related to the person ability estimates. And Who should omit several items to ensure construct validity.

Abstract

Sexual harassment against women is increasing. Data from the National Commission of Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) shows that the number of sexual violence increased by 6% in 2019. And the most reported was Cyber Gender-Based Violence (KBGS). Most women feel ashamed and find it difficult to report sexual harassment because there are still many views Indonesian people who view this as taboo. Victims of Sexual harassment need first aid to cope with their experience as a victim that could trigger a traumatic experience. UNIBI psychology students are expected to have good empathy in helping people because they are considered to be more knowledge and skill. This research examined the empathy of UNIBI psychology students when they know or see sexual harassment before (pre-test) and after (post-test) doing Psychological First Aid (PFA). In this research, researchers used the one-group pre-test post-test design experimental method to see differences in empathy before and after treatment. The measurement of empathy in this study used the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) empathy scale with 18 respondents. Analysis of the research data using paired samples t-test analysis with a significance result of 0.325; p > 0.05. these results indicate that giving Psychological First Aid (PFA) to female victims of sexual harassment is not effective in increasing the empathy of UNIBI psychology students. Keywords: psychological first aid (PFA); sexual harassment; empathy Dari tahun ke tahun tindak pelecehan seksual terhadap perempuan semakin meningkat.

Abstract

This study aims to create a program as an option for people who want to equalize education. Unfortunately, the stigma in the community regarding this program has not been so good. The result also impacts students who are participants in the package pursuit program who lack self-concept. Students need to have a self-concept so that they can achieve quality education. Through a good self-concept, one can absorb optimally any given subject. Based on this urgency, this study was presented to know the effectiveness of the Kurt Lewin training method to improve the self-concept of students participating in the package C equivalency pursuit in Denpasar Bali. This research uses observation and interview methods. The research was carried out directly on all ten students pursuing package C, totaling ten students. The intervention was carried out by applying the Force-Field Theory, which Kurt Lewin initiated. The implementation of this theory consists of three stages, namely (1) the unfreezing stage, (2) moving, and (3) refreezing. The results obtained after the intervention showed that both teachers and students internally desired to change for the better. Support from outside the school environment, in this case, the family, is also good. Constraints encountered are limited time and consistency of implementation in the long term considering that self-concept is a process that requires consistency in its implementation. Keywords: training, Kurt Lewin method, student self-concept AbstrakProgram kejar paket menjadi pilihan bagi masyarakat yang ingin melakukan penyetaraan Pendidikan.
