Abstract

Lead zirconat titanate, Pb(Zr1-x,Tix)O3 is a material with high piezoelectric properties and many studies have been carried out in development, in order to improve the materials quality in various applications. Therefore, one of them is the development of synthesis with the molten salt method in this study. Choice of the molten salt method is simply and and not expensive. The salt ratio of NaCl / KCl at 1: 1 in moles as a solvent medium was carried out in synthesizing Pb(Zr1-x,Tix)O3. Likewise, the salt ratio with reactant/basic material was 1: 1 in weight percentages. An intermediate product is obtained if the dynamics of chemical reactions in the diffusion process occur indirectly or in stages. To identify intermediate products in this synthesis process, the sintering temperature has been varied to 575, 675 and 775 oC for samples A, B and C, respectively. The results of these syntheses have been identified and characterized using x-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. The Highscore program using the Rietveld method to identify the intermediate product content and each crystal structure has been applied in the rifenement process on the XRD intensity profile with a statistical error of less than 6%. Intermediate products have been obtained as follows, PbTiO3, PbZrO3 and Zr0.4Ti0.6O3. Whereas sample C has obtained two phases namely PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 and PbZr0.58Ti0.42O3 with tetragonal (P4mm) and rhombohedral crystal structures (R3c).

Abstract

The study aimed to conduct a Rasch analysis of the Edward Personality Preferences Schedule (EPPS)  to evaluate and enhance the instrument's precision. Responses of 3.125 students in West Java, Indonesia, were subjected to Rasch analysis using the partial credit Rasch model. The Initial analysis supported the use of the Rasch model, and acceptable reliability (person separation index= 0.82) was observed. By creating super-items, a local dependency between items increased model fit, reliability (person separation index =0.85), and unidimensionality. Infit and outfit statistics for all items satisfied the criterion for construct validity. Almost all items except (17, 97, 126) had suitable point-measurement correlation, reflecting content validity. Item characteristic curves indicated that What evenly distributed roughly 225 items along the person ability continuum. The modified EPPS showed excellent reliability for a measure in assessing the overall potential ability of the students. The item would be added related to the person ability estimates. And Who should omit several items to ensure construct validity.

Abstract

Coconut shells are biomass composed of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and other components in small quantities. Biomass can be converted into bio-oil via the pyrolysis method. Bio-oil resulting from pyrolysis has poor quality because it contains oxygen, acid compound, ketone, and ester. To improve the quality of Bio-oil, the pyrolysis process is carried out through a catalytic esterification reaction using a sulfonated H2SO4 coconut shell charcoal catalyst. Bio-oil synthesis is carried out at a temperature of 300–500 ℃. Coconut shell acid catalyst preparation was carried out by activation using HCl and followed by sulfonation of H2SO4 at a temperature of 150℃ for 12 hours. The catalyst was characterized using XRD, FTIR, and SEM. The bio-oil obtained was tested for density, kinematic viscosity, water content, pH, ash content, acid value, Bio-oil composition using GCMS, and metal content using ICP-OES. The results of catalyst characterization show that the formed solid carbon-based catalyst from coconut shells has a graphite crystal structure with a densely porous surface and contains sulfonate functional groups. The yield of bio-oil produced was 6.4%.

Abstract

The present focus of school counselling accountability extends beyond merely tallying activities and time invested by counsellors; it necessitates that school counsellors implement results-oriented and evidence-based methods. This study is to examine the literature about trends, models, and barriers faced by counsellors in the implementation of accountability practices. This study employs a Narrative literature review and Bibliometric analysis covering the period from 2003 to 2023, analysed using Vosviewer. The research findings indicate that the literature on accountability in school counselling is intricately linked to program evaluation, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder collaboration, all aimed at enhancing the efficacy of counselling services in educational institutions and ultimately fostering student success. The findings of the narrative literature review elucidate models that serve as references for school counsellors in implementing accountability practices, specifically data-driven decision-making, the transformative individual school counselling model, MEASURE, the evidence-based model, and the IDEAS model. Additionally, researchers identified accountability barriers stemming from both internal and external factors affecting school counsellors. These findings may serve as a foundation for future study aimed at establishing a data-driven approach to enhance school counsellor accountability.

Abstract

Most silica sources are from non-renewable natural sand or rock materials, which affect the element's diminishing availability in the environment. Because bagasse ash has a relatively high silica concentration, it can be used as a silica source to manufacture silica gel. HCl is added during the sol-gel process of silica gel synthesis. The silica gel's characterization employs FTIR, XRD, and SEM instruments. Characterization results showed that silica gel contains silanol groups identified by the appearance of vibrations at the wavenumber of 3383,93 cm-1 and 1635,17 cm-1. Vibrations of the siloxane group appear at the wavenumber of 1020,83 cm-1 and 579,88 cm-1. Silica gel diffractogram showing dilated diffraction peaks at 2q = 22,90ᵒ. Silica gel has potential as an adsorbent in adsorbing methylene blue dye. The ideal parameters for the methylene blue adsorption process are pH 10 and 45 minutes of contact time., silica gel weight of 0.1 g, and methylene blue concentration of 100 mg/L. Using the Langmuir isotherm rule, the silica gel of bagasse ash has a high adsorption capacity of 56.818 mg/g.
