Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of microalgae and their relationship with water quality in the Air Lais River. The method used is a survey method. The results showed that there were 28 species of microalgae consisting of 7 divisions. The abundance of microalgae at the upstream station was 52 ind/ml, the middle station was 50 ind/ml and the downstream station was 115 ind/ml. The microalgae diversity index at each station was 2.2; 2.2; and 2.59, with a moderate level of diversity criteria. The microalgae dominance index was in the low dominance criteria, with the value of each station being 0.21; 0.20; and 0.14. In conclusion, the condition of the Air Lais River is still relatively clean and shows a normal tolerance range for microalgae life. Keywords: Diversity, Microalgae, Lais Water River

Abstract

This study aims to determine the preferences of rats for different types of feed in the residential area of RT 6 and RT 8, Kandang Limun Village, Muara Bangkahulu District, Bengkulu City. The method used was random sampling with 20 clip-type mouse traps and four different types of feed baits distributed randomly around the residential areas of RT 6 and RT 8 in Kandang Limun Village. The rat collection was carried out in five replications and the number was counted, identified and preserved. Rat morphometry data were analyzed quantitatively and described descriptively. The results showed that there were two types of rats with a total of 13 individuals collected, namely Rattus tanezumi (12 individuals) and Suncus murinus (1 individual). The level of preference of rats for salted fish is 6%, sweet potato and corn is 3%, while cassava is the least preferred feed (1%). In conclusion, two species of rats were found in the residential area of RT 6 and RT 8, Kandang Limun Village. The rats prefer salted fish bait than sweet potato, corn and cassava. Abstract

This study aims to determine the biological aspects of twill fish in the swamp waters of PTPN Ajamu III. The method used is exploratory and the determination of the sampling point is done by purposive sampling. Fish samples were caught using fishing rods. All fish caught were measured for total length and weight. The results showed that for the small size class interval (9-11.9 cm) 11 males and 14 females were obtained; medium size class (12-14.9 cm) for 5 individual male fish and 19 individual female fish; and the large size class (15-17.9 cm) found only females with a total of 2 individuals. The relationship between length and weight of twill is negative allometric because of the value of the constant b > 3. The sex ratio of fish for males and females obtained is 1: 2. In conclusion, the population of twill fish is categorized as still maintained. Keywords: Biological Aspect, Belontia hasselti, Swamp Waters

Abstract

This study aims to determine the biological aspects of silais in Bilah River. The method used is exploratory with the determination of fish sampling points based on the fishing area carried out by fishermen (purposive sampling). The fishing gear used to take fish samples is a splint. Fish samples caught were measured for total length and weight. The results showed that the size class of fish data was divided into three sizes: small (9-11.9 cm) with 8 males and 29 females, medium (12-14.9 cm) with 7 males and 16 females large. (15-17.9 cm) only 2 females. The relationship between length and weight of fish found was b = 0.19 and R2 = 0.82. The sex ratio of silais fish (male and female) obtained is 0.34:1. In conclusion, the biological aspect of silais fish in Bilah River is categorized as quite good. Keywords: Biological Aspects, Kryptopterus hexapterus, Bilah River
