Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discipline and work motivation development on job satisfaction in the checker department at PT. XYZ in the West Java region. The research method used was a quantitative approach with descriptive and associative research. Data collection techniques were conducted through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 26.0. The results showed that discipline and work motivation development had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.851 indicates that 85.1% of the variation in job satisfaction is explained by discipline and work motivation development, while the remaining 14.9% is influenced by other factors outside the study. The conclusion of this study is that improving discipline and work motivation development is crucial in improving employee job satisfaction at PT. Abstract

This study aims to analyze management strategies to increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in the Riau Islands Province through the Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBN-KB) sector at the Kijang Regional Tax Service Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD PPD). The research method used was a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with key informants, including officials and employees of the Riau Islands Province Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BP2RD). The results indicate that the implemented management strategy encompasses four main components: the external environment, the internal environment, strategy formulation, and strategy implementation. External factors such as local government support, cross-agency collaboration, and the use of information technology contributed positively to the increase in PAD revenue from the BBN-KB sector. However, internal constraints remain, such as the limited number of tax assessment officers, which impacts service effectiveness and the length of the tax administration process. The conclusions of this study indicate that the implementation of strategic management at the Kijang PPD UPTD has been effective and in accordance with strategic management principles. However, improvements in human resource quality and strengthening of the digital service system are needed to ensure optimal and sustainable implementation of the strategy.   Keywords: Strategic Management, Locally-Owned Revenue, Local Taxes, Kijang PPD UPTD

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and compensation on turnover intention among Sales Promotion Girls (SPGs) at PT Arina Multikarya Bandung, working with the Kino brand. The research method used was quantitative with a descriptive and associative approach. The population in this study was all 42 SPGs at PT Arina Multikarya Bandung, working with the Kino brand. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used multiple linear regression and a coefficient of determination test using SPSS version 26. The results showed that SPG work motivation was in the high category with a mean value of 3.68, compensation was in the appropriate category with a mean value of 3.84, and turnover intention was in the low category with a mean value of 1.97. Partially, work motivation had a negative effect on turnover intention, and compensation also had a negative effect on turnover intention. Simultaneously, work motivation and compensation had a significant effect on turnover intention with a coefficient of determination of 0.434, meaning that both variables contributed 43.4% and were considered quite strong. The conclusion of this study is that the higher the work motivation and compensation received, the lower the turnover intention rate among sales promotion staff (SPG) at PT Arina Multikarya Bandung for the Kino brand.   Keywords: Work Motivation, Compensation, Turnover Intention, SPG

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of e-Government-based public services in Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java Province. The study used a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of e-Government through the Digital Population Identity (IKD) system can improve the efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of public services. However, obstacles remain, including limited network infrastructure, low digital literacy, and poor system integration between agencies. In conclusion, the implementation of e-Government in Mojolaban District has improved the quality of public services, although human resource capacity building and technological infrastructure strengthening are needed to optimize and sustain services.   Keywords: E-Government, Public Services, Service Quality, Administrative Digitalization

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and the work environment on employee performance at PT. Asia Fasifik Fiber Kendal. Employee performance is a crucial factor in determining a company's success, therefore, discipline and a conducive work environment are essential to increase productivity. The research method used was a quantitative field approach, where data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to employees at PT. Asia Fasifik Fiber Kendal. The research instrument was constructed using a Likert scale to measure the level of work discipline, work environment, and employee performance. The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, meaning that the higher the level of employee discipline, the better the resulting performance. Furthermore, the work environment also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. A comfortable, safe, and harmonious work environment has been shown to increase employee motivation and productivity. The conclusion of this study is that improving work discipline and improving the work environment simultaneously will encourage improved employee performance and contribute to the company's success in achieving organizational goals.   Keywords: Work Discipline, Work Environment, Employee Performance, Productivity

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of eliminating the employee ranking system from a management perspective at a BRI branch office in Semarang City, focusing on individual and organizational factors that influence human resource (HR) performance. The research method used was a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assess the weight and priority of personality and organizational criteria for improving employee performance. The results showed that organizational criteria were weighted higher than personality, with the highest scores for the fairness and motivation sub-criteria. Scenario analysis showed that maintaining the ranking system was more effective in improving employee performance, with the organizational criterion weighting 0.603 compared to 0.397 in the elimination scenario. The conclusion is that employee performance improvement strategies should focus on strengthening fair, transparent, and collaborative organizational aspects, along with developing personality aspects according to the needs of each position.   Keywords: Employee Performance, Ranking System, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of student management in improving the quality of learning at SMK Negeri Muara Beliti. Student management is viewed as a strategic aspect that plays a crucial role in developing students' character, discipline, and motivation to learn. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving the principal, guidance and counseling teachers, subject teachers, and active students. The results indicate that the student organization structure at SMK Negeri Muara Beliti is well-organized and involves all teachers in program implementation. Character development activities, the Student Council (OSIS), and extracurricular activities contribute positively to improving student discipline and enthusiasm for learning. Key supporting factors include collaboration between teachers and a personal approach to students, while challenges include limited human resources and concurrent positions. Overall, student management has been shown to have a significant influence on improving the quality of learning through the development of student character, motivation, and academic achievement. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for other vocational schools in developing effective and sustainable student management strategies.   Keywords: Student Management, Learning Quality, Character Building, Student Discipline

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of library management in an effort to increase student reading interest at Bakti Ibu Junior High School, Lubuklinggau. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, involving informants consisting of the head librarian, an Indonesian language teacher as literacy instructor, and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles et al. (2020) through the stages of data reduction, presentation, and verification, with validity maintained through triangulation of sources, time, and techniques. The results show that the implementation of library management functions at Bakti Ibu Junior High School, Lubuklinggau, includes four main stages: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The school has implemented various literacy programs such as 15-minute reading sessions, Book Week, Literacy Day, and the Schoology E-Learning Utilization Workshop. Collection management is carried out through a digital system supported by adequate infrastructure, although there are still obstacles such as limited budget, operating hours, and the absence of a professional librarian. The role of teachers and student participation in literacy activities also strengthen the effectiveness of library management. The findings indicate an increase in students' interest in reading, as evidenced by the increased frequency of library visits, participation in literacy activities, and intrinsic motivation to read. This study concludes that the implementation of systematic and participatory library management contributes significantly to increasing students' interest in reading. Effective library management encompasses not only the technical aspects of collection management but also strengthening literacy programs, integrating digital technology, and creating comfortable and inspiring reading spaces.   Keywords: Library Management, Reading Interest, School Literacy, Educational Management

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived quality experience, perceived value experience, and aesthetic experience on revisit intention, mediated by tourist satisfaction among tourists visiting Carita Alam. Based on low Google Maps ratings, this study identifies factors that can increase tourist satisfaction and revisit intention. Data were collected through a survey of 125 respondents using a purposive sampling technique and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0. The results indicate that perceived value experience and aesthetic experience significantly influence tourist satisfaction, while perceived quality experience has no significant effect. Tourist satisfaction proved to have the strongest influence on revisit intention and mediated the influence of value and aesthetic experience. These findings strengthen Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT) and Experience Economy Theory (EET) in explaining the importance of valuable and aesthetic experiences in shaping satisfaction and loyalty among tourists visiting Carita Alam.   Keywords: Perceived Quality Experience, Perceived Value Experience, Aesthetic Experience

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workload and work-life balance on teacher job satisfaction at XYZ Junior High School. The study's background is based on the phenomenon of high teacher absenteeism, which reflects job dissatisfaction. The research approach used was quantitative, with descriptive and associative methods. The study population included all 31 non-structural teachers at XYZ Junior High School who served as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple linear regression using SPSS version 27 software. The results showed that workload and work-life balance had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.523 indicates that the two independent variables explained 52.3% of the variation in teacher job satisfaction, while the remaining 47.7% was influenced by factors outside the research model. These findings emphasize the importance of proportional workload management and support for work-life balance as effective strategies for improving the well-being and professional satisfaction of educators.   Keywords: Workload, Work-Life Balance, Job Satisfaction
