Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of capabilities as a mediator between the influence of human resource quality and innovation on employee performance in the Jepara furniture industry. The research approach used was quantitative with explanatory methods, involving 100 permanent employees of a medium-sized furniture company in Jepara Regency as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) to test direct and mediation relationships between variables. The results indicate that human resource quality and innovation have a significant positive effect on employee performance, and both also have a positive effect on employee capabilities. Furthermore, capabilities were shown to mediate the relationship between human resource quality and innovation on employee performance, strengthening their influence on individual performance. The control variable of length of service also had a positive effect, while job position had no significant effect. These findings confirm that employee capability development is key to improving work effectiveness and competitiveness in Jepara furniture companies.   Keywords: Human Resource Quality, Innovation, Capability, Employee Performance

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource management in education in the digital era, focusing on teacher readiness to implement technology-based learning. The research method used was a systematic literature review using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) approach. This approach involved formulating research questions, searching for relevant literature, and qualitatively analyzing and synthesizing previous research findings. The results indicate that teacher readiness for technology-based learning remains suboptimal, characterized by limited digital literacy, low utilization of interactive learning platforms and artificial intelligence-based technology, and the continued dominance of conventional learning methods. Key inhibiting factors include limited technological infrastructure, lack of ongoing training, resistance to change, and suboptimal school policies supporting digital transformation. The study's conclusions emphasize that improving teacher readiness for technology-based learning requires planned human resource management in education through ongoing professional training, the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure, and institutional policy support that encourages innovation and the integration of technology into the learning process.   Keywords: Human Resource Management, Teacher Readiness, Digital Learning, Educational Technology, Digital Literacy

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work discipline on employee performance at the Purwakarta Regency Environmental Agency, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach utilizing descriptive and verificative methods was employed. The study population consisted of 111 Civil Servants (PNS), all of whom were included in the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, interviews, and literature reviews, while data analysis involved multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, t-tests, and F-tests using SPSS version 26. The results indicate that competence has a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of 2.817 and a significance level of 0.006 (< 0.05). Work discipline also has a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of 5.241 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). Simultaneously, competence and work discipline exert a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with a calculated F-value of 73.854 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). The Adjusted R-Square value of 0.570 indicates that competence and work discipline account for 57% of the variation in employee performance. The study concludes that competence and work discipline—both partially and simultaneously—have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, with work discipline exerting a more dominant influence than competence.   Keywords: Work Discipline, Employee Performance, Competence, Civil Servant, Human Resources
