Abstract

Mask is a beauty product that serves to treat and maintain the skin of the body and face. Black garlic contains antioxidant compounds so that it can counteract free radicals that cause premature aging, wrinkled and dull skin. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of black garlic nanoparticles as skin care. The aim of this research is to develop a face mask product based on black garlic nanoparticles. The research method is by extracting black garlic by maceration and making nanoparticles of black garlic extract with a silver reducing agent. Black garlic extract nanoparticles were substituted for the manufacture of peel-off masks and tested for their characteristic. The results showed that the black garlic nanoparticle mask had a strong antioxidant activity of 21.168 ppm, the particle size is 59.47 nm and had good characteristics as a peel-off mask based on the viscosity, spreadability, drying test. Black garlic masks with nano-sized particles are able to penetrate the skin's pores more effectively, thus aiding in the repair of damaged skin cells.

Abstract

This study examined total coliform levels in rivers in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, and their effects on water quality and public health. Water samples were taken at eight river observation points using purposive sampling in a field survey. Analysis compared total coliform results to health criteria. To determine the link between total coliform and DO, correlation tests were performed. The overall coliform concentration exceeded the class I quality limit of 50 CFU/100 mL with 5050 to 52833,335 CFU/100 mL. Total coliform levels correlated -0.878 with DO levels, demonstrating contamination's ecological effects. High total coliform levels make river water unfit for sanitation and hygiene. Banjar Regency waterways must be cleaned to reduce bacterial contamination, protect public health, and allow safe water use. Addressing these issues will improve local prosperity and water sustainability

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage for infants aged 0-6 months was 71.58% in 2021, but most provinces still have coverage below the national average. One of the causes is knowledge. Interesting and fun learning media can affect knowledge or learning outcomes, one of which is interactive media in the form of a monopoly game. The study aims to develop a learning media monopoly game that is feasible in terms of media and material and to determine the effectiveness of learning media monopoly games to improve the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in breastfeeding. This research method uses a research and development model developed by Borg and Gall consisting of 10 steps starting from potential and problems to mass production. The results showed that the feasibility aspects by material experts and users obtained an average score of 4.32 and media experts for engineering aspects 4.9 and visual communication aspects 4.62, all of which were in the good category, meaning that they were feasible and validated to be tested. The statistical test results show that there is an increase in knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about breastfeeding after lactation education using educational media in the form of monopoly games with p-value = 0.000 < α 0.05. The conclusion is that lactation education learning media in the form of Monopoly games is effective in increasing the interest of pregnant women in breastfeeding preparation.

Abstract

The population will become a problem if Indonesia's population increases while the quality of life decreases. Family planning programs are needed to stop uncontrolled growth because a baby boom will occur. Long-term contraceptive methods (MKJP) are very effective and can stop population growth. The purpose of this study was to investigate the various factors that may influence an active family planning acceptor's decision to use MKJP. This study was designed as a cross-sectional study using a simple random sampling method, resulting in 285 acceptors. The analysis used was univariate, bivariate analysis using chi-square test α = 0.05 and 95% CI and multivariate logistic regression. Age was the variable that significantly influenced the choice of long-term contraception, according to multivariate results (p = 0.01; OR = 2.24; CI: 1.17-4.29).

Abstract

Introduction: In the world, the rate of newborns receiving early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) is still low at around 47% and 44% of infants aged 0-6 months are receiving exclusive breastfeed, in Indonesia in 2023 it increased compared to 2022 by 1.93 %. Similarly, the state DKI Jakarta grew by 9.17 % in 2023 compared to in 2022. The recommendation of the Ministry of Health, Indonesia that progress monitoring through SDIDTK using the Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire (KPSP) instrument is a health service to monitor the development of infant growth and development in improving the quality of life. Thus, this study, know the difference in development between exclusively breastfed babies and formula milk babies. Methods: observational and analytic. Samples of infants 0-6 months using KPSP (gross motor, fine motor, speech and language, socialization and independence) to determine the development of infants at the Kebayoran Baru Health Center, Jakarta. Results: The Mann-Whitney test obtained a p-value of 0.078 (>0.05) found no significance between the development of exclusively breastfed infants and formula infants. Conclusion: The results of KPSP are not different, so it is necessary to consider the influence of internal and external factors.

Abstract

Inulin is a type of prebiotic which is generally produced from artichoke plants (Helianthus tuberosus). Considering the diversity of tubers in Indonesia, in this study the prebiotic potential of inulin was tested from various tubers, namely gembili tubers (Dioscororea esculenta), dahlia tubers (Dahlia Pinnata L.) and yakon tubers (Smallanthus sonchifolius). In this study, the prebiotic activity of tubers was tested against bifidiobacterium bacteria. Bacterial growth was carried out on MRS media, which is added with inulin from each tuber as much as 1% b/v gram. In addition to that negative control group and positive control group (comercial inulin) were added. During the incubation time of 24 hours, 48 and 92 hours, all varian group has positive correlation with the growth of Bifidiobacterium. The bigger correlation was found in Gembili tuber group with R = 0,9 and had the maxiumun bifidiobacterium colony which reached 14.4 x 108 CFU/ml.

Abstract

A strategy is needed to tackle the problem of tuberculosis in Indonesia. Both in terms of infrastructure, funding, policy and human resources (HR). One of the most needed of the four components is human resources. The availability of human resources plays a major role in the success of TB elimination. In achieving this, an instrument is needed that can be used as a guideline in improving the quality of human resources. The research method used in this study is research and development using Aiken's V analysis to measure content validity, and reliability analysis using Cronbach's Alpha test and Kappa test. The results obtained that 96 indicators described from RCN have a very high validity category of 23 indicators, high validity of 68 indicators, and moderate validity of 5 indicators, with reliable items (0.667) but with very poor inter-rater agreement of <0.000. Therefore, the tuberculosis nurse competency guidelines derived from the Royal College Nursing have good validity and reliability to be tested as an instrument for assessing the competence of tuberculosis nurses at the Puskesmas in Bondowoso Regency.
