Abstract

This study aims to increase students' interest in learning mathematics on the topic of exponential functions through the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach by integrating Batak cultural values. This classroom action research was conducted in class X DKV 1 SMKN 10 Medan in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research used the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments used were learning interest questionnaires and observation sheets. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed an increase in students' learning interest from 67.82% in the pre-cycle to 74.59% in cycle I, and further to 83.53% in cycle II. Learning integrated with local culture proved to make abstract material more contextual and meaningful, and increased student participation and enthusiasm. These findings support the effectiveness of the CRT approach in bridging abstract content with students' cultural experience while fostering 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Permasalahan pada penelitian ini yaitu belum adanya e-modul berbasis android dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran informatika kelas x di SMK Negeri 3 Tebo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis Android pada mata pelajaran Informatika kelas X DKV yang Valid dan Praktis. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Research and Development (RD) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) digunakan untuk memastikan pengembangan yang sistematis dan sesuai kebutuhan. Pengembangan e-modul ini dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi Android Studio sebagai alat pengembangan utama untuk menciptakan aplikasi e-modul yang menarik dan mudah diakses. Hasil penelitiaan menunjukkan nilai rata – rata uji validasi e-modul yang dinilai oleh validator sebesar 71 % dengan kategori valid. Uji kepraktisan e-modul yang dinilai oleh guru mata pelajaran informatika sebesar 82% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan uji kepraktisan e-modul yang dinilai oleh siswa sebesar 80% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan data yang diperoleh bahwa e-modul berbasis android layak dan praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' collaboration skills. PJBL is a learning approach that emphasizes group project work, where students are involved in in-depth exploration of a real problem. This study encourages students to communicate, share tasks fairly and solve problems collectively so that they are able to develop essential collaboration skills in the academic and professional world. Through literature studies and empirical research results, it was found that the PJBL approach contributed significantly to improving students' abilities in dividing tasks fairly, interacting intensively, and sharing responsibilities in a team. Thus, the implementation of PJBL can be an effective strategy in improving students' collaboration skills and creating a more active and meaningful learning environment that is beneficial for future life.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of negotiation text learning integrated with local wisdom among tenth-grade students at SMAN Pakusari. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, consisting of three main stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that teachers incorporated local cultural contexts—such as community deliberations, traditional market transactions, and family interactions—into the negotiation text learning activities. This approach positively influenced students’ understanding, engagement, and character development by reinforcing cultural values such as politeness, mutual cooperation, and tolerance. Despite some challenges, including students' difficulties in distinguishing negotiation texts from other types and organizing complete text structures, the integration of local wisdom proved effective in enhancing the quality of Indonesian language learning. This research recommends the development of contextual teaching materials based on local culture to improve literacy while preserving cultural values in education.

Abstract

The most important problem of technological advancement lies in the ability of human resources to use it, especially in the learning process. In 21st Century learning, it is very popular by bringing Change, namely the rapid development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) which results in a change in the learning paradigm which is marked by changes in curriculum, media, and technology. Technology-based curriculum innovation is one of the key aspects in 21st century education that needs to be understood to overcome technology and global challenges and meet the needs of students in the digital era. This article discusses how important technology is in learning, such as online learning resources, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and project-based learning. In addition to providing opportunities for improving the quality of education, the technology curriculum is faced with the challenge of overcoming infrastructure gaps, teachers' digital literacy, and equality in access opportunities. This article also provides several strategic resources such as infrastructure investment, intensive training for teachers, and cooperation with technology companies for innovative success. This innovation is expected to form a young generation that is competent, creative, and ready to face future demands in line with the times.

Abstract

Two of the many methods of human resource development are using competency tests and Coaching.  Many organizations do not find the key to the failures they face, they assume the team or members are not working optimally. Whereas it is very possible that unproductivity occurs because the placement of personnel is not in accordance with their capacity, and there is no proper Coaching of personnel who carry out activities repeatedly even though mistakes always occur. Therefore, it is important to develop human resources with a competency test and Coaching approach. With this method, employees are expected to be able to maximize their potential and feel the expected comfort. So as to produce conditions where the right people are in the right place and maximize all abilities to give their best to the organization and contribute to the development of human resources around them.

Abstract

Education finance has a critical role in guaranteeing the durability and calibre of the Indonesian educational system. The community, business sector, and government all contribute to a funding model that is thought to be the most effective approach to meet the needs for financing education. This article explores Indonesia's varied education funding schemes through an expert literature review. The primary pillar is still government support, which comes from the APBN and APBD, notwithstanding issues with uneven distribution that frequently arise. In addition to posing threats to the commercialisation of education, the private sector is crucial in completing the gaps left by the government. With community involvement in the form of donations and direct involvement at the school level, it is feasible to raise the sense of ownership and accountability in the management of education funds. A qualitative descriptive technique and literature review were used to perform this study. According to the study's findings, if different financing sources are combined and handled properly and responsibly, educational quality can be raised. Nonetheless, problems with opaque management and uneven finance must be addressed in order to build a more equitable and long-lasting educational system.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a description of several problems that occur in education in Indonesia which become an illustration of the role of education management, and also to analyze trends in education management and the impact of policies on the efficiency of the education system. Specifically, this research aims to determine (a.) The role of educational management in education in Indonesia. (b.) The influence of School-Based Management (SBM) which is used as an efficient effort in solving educational problems in Indonesia. The research method used by the author in this research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques using literature studies sourced from interviews, books, journals, documents and also valid websites. The results of this research show that efficient education management is a key factor in improving the quality and accessibility of education, especially in developing countries like Indonesia.

Abstract

This research was carried out based on problems, namely that students did not have complete printed modules personally, teachers still used conventional methods, there was no E-Module to support the Informatics learning process at SMK Negeri 4 Padang. The aim of this research is to develop an E-Module. The research method used is the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this research were 25 students as samples. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale. At the testing stage, Alpha testing is used, namely media expert validity testing and material expert validity testing, as well as Beta testing, namely teacher practicality testing and student practicality testing. The results of the research show that the validity level of the E-module obtained a score of 89.5% in the very valid category, the teacher's practicality level obtained a score of 98% in the very practical category and students' practicality obtained a score of 83.3% in the very practical category. Based on this data, it can be concluded that this E-Module is suitable for use in the learning process. The results of this research are recommended for informatics subject teachers in the DKV class at SMK Negeri 4 Padang.

Abstract

Jigsaw-type cooperative learning is a learning process by dividing students into different groups, in order to discuss and solve problems. Meanwhile, the teaching style of practical work is the practical work of students in Learning in order to be able to understand science learning directly. As a commonly used teaching method and style, jigsaw-type cooperative learning and practical work teaching style are also often used by teachers in learning Natural Sciences (IPA), for example when learning the chapter on hot conduction of objects. While many other studies focus on teachers' teaching styles on other learning, this study examines the impact of jigsaw-type cooperative learning with practical work teaching styles on science learning outcomes of grade VI students. This study aims to explore the impact of the use of jigsaw-type methods and practical work teaching styles on students' science learning outcomes. This study uses a case study design. The data was then analyzed using observation and interviews. And in the conclusion, it was found that jigsaw-type cooperative learning and practical work teaching style had a positive impact on students' motivation and science learning outcomes. Therefore, jigsaw-type cooperative learning and practical work teaching style seem to be highly recommended to be applied in science learning.
