Abstract

This study examines the teachers’ strategies to integrated Tawheed in teaching at Al-Amin Islamic Secondary School, Selangor. The purpose of this study is to explore the teachers’ perception of integrating Tawheed in teaching and to examine the strategies that have been practiced by teachers to integrated Tawheed in teaching. The teachers were purposively selected based on their experiences in teaching. This research employed a qualitative design by using the case study. The methodological triangulation was used for collecting the data, and the data was collected from oral interviews and classroom observations. A total of 5 teachers from Al-Amin Islamic Secondary School were selected to be interviewed and observed in the classroom. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis. The data from the interviews and observations were transcribed and the keywords were identified. Then, to start analysing the data, the researchers identified the theme and generated the sub-themes for further exploration. The findings showed that teachers’ perceptions in integrating tawheed in teaching were important to increase faith in Allah. Also, the researchers foundtwo strategies which were implemented by the teachers to integratetawheed in teaching namely teaching approaches and teaching methods. In teaching approaches, the teachers used both deductive and inductive approach. Besides, in teaching methods, the teachers applied story-telling, demonstrations and group discussion forintegrating tawheedto the students.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to know the effect of reward and empowerment on decision making on headmaster of private senior high school.This research used quantitative approach. The research was conducted to all of headmaster of private senior high school at Bekasi city by using a survey method with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis. The number of 62 headmasters as sample was selected by using Slovin formula. The research conclude: (1) There is a direct positive effect of reward on decision making. (2) There is a direct positive effect of empowerment on decision making. (3) There is a direct positive effect of reward on empowerment.

Abstract

Married female students face different learning experiences in higher education compared to unmarried female students. This research was conducted to determine the experiences of Indonesian married female students. The aims of this study are to identify the various factors which encourage Indonesian married female students to continue their studies, to examine the obstacles that they experience during their studies, and to identify the efforts to overcome the obstacles which are faced by the students. This research uses a qualitative approach using a case study. A total of two Indonesian married female students were interviewed. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Then, data from the interviews were transcribed and keywords were identified. To analyze the data, the researcher also identified the themes for further exploration. The findings showed that the factors to pursue higher education could be categorized into push factors and pull factors. The results indicate that the students not only need strength of the intention, but also need to make targets and strategies during studies, as well as to build a support system with family member, relatives, and friends to complete their studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study seeks to understand the model of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) learning for non-Muslim students at Unimuda Sorong. The things researched about the implementation of AIK teaching, the obstacles faced by AIK lecturers in learning AIK for non-Muslim students, and the efforts to overcome the obstacles to AIK learning for non-Muslim students Unimuda Sorong. It is a qualitative research method. The study employed the snowball sampling method. The chosen participant was three lecturers who had experienced teaching Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. In specific, participants are lecturers from the Muhammadiyah Education University (Unimuda) of Sorong, Indonesia. This study's primary data source was obtained through semi-structured interviews emphasizing the participants' experiences. Thematic analysis was employed to analyze data. The results of this study AIK learning at Unimuda Sorong are carried out with a multicultural spirit, AIK learning at Unimuda is carried out in various ways. The obstacles during AIK learning include the availability of AIK learning resources literature, limited internet network access, and non-Muslim students' difficulties understanding Islamic religious terms in Arabic. Efforts were made to overcome these obstacles, namely teaching AIK as knowledge, not doctrine, communication between non-Muslim students and lecturers, and other Muslim students. Suggestions for further research are to make non-Muslim students the primary informants in the research.

Abstract

This article is qualitative-descriptive analytical research on multiple intelligences, a theory which Howard Gardner introduced. According to Howard Gardner's findings, the concept of multiple intelligences has been widely known and used in educational institutions. Multiple intelligences are also considered a theory that first recognized the diversity of human intelligence. With multiple intelligences, it can be said that no child is stupid. Therefore, each child is born with intelligence that is not always equal to each other. In Islam, the Quran is a complete guide for life. This research has discovered the powerful instruments to develop Qur'anic multiple intelligences in educational institutions through literature. With the thematic interpretation method (maudhui) approach, this study described the practical efforts, using the mindset of interpretation and reflection, to develop the concept of multiple intelligences based on the perspective of the Quran. After researching, collecting, and analyzing all terms in the Quran that relate to intelligence, it is found that the Quran is distinguishing the concept of multiple intelligences. It can be used further as a practical guide for educational institutions in developing the concept of multiple intelligences from the perspective of the Quran

Abstract

This research originated from the low skills of grade IV SDN (public school) 1 Sigli students in writing short stories. Learning media to write short stories is an alternative means of delivering material to students through animated film media. This study aims to determine the improvement of short story writing skills using animated film media in fourth grade students of SDN 1 Sigli. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 24 students of grade IV SDN 1 Sigli, consisting of 12 female students and 12 male students. The data collection technique was done by using tests, observations, and field notes. The data analysis used was a comparative descriptive analysis technique. The results of data analysis showed that the acquisition of student learning outcomes with an average value in cycle I: 60%, cycle II: 80%, and cycle III: 91%. Thus it can be concluded, the use of animated film media can improve students' short story writing skills, and teachers always improve their skills in using instructional media. This can be seen from the cycles obtained by students in each cycle.

Abstract

Guru adalah merupakan salah satu kunci utama keberhasilan dari pendidikan. Karena gurulah yang berinteraksi secara langsung dengan peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar anak. Berdasarkan data statistik dari BPS Kota Bekasi Tahun 2015/2016, jumlah keseluruhan guru pada sekolah dasar baik negeri maupun swasta sebanyak 8.429 guru, hal tersebut terdiri dari 2.802 guru laki-laki dan 5.627 guru perempuan. Dari data statistik tersebut menunjukan bahwa perempuan mendominasi dalam peran guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan lebih dalam mengenai peran gender untuk pendidik di Sekolah Dasar Bekasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatif. Adapun hasil pembahasannya bahwa guru menekankan pada peran dan kesetaraan gender. Anak butuh sosok guru perempuan sekaligus laki-laki yang membimbingnya. Figur guru bagi anak tidak hanya sebagai orang yang memiliki pengetahuan lebih saja, tetapi juga mampu membangun kemampuan anak dari sisi skill anak. Guru lakilaki akan memberikan contoh sikap disiplin, taat tata tertib, dan memiliki kepribadian dan emosional yang baik. Sedangkan guru perempuan memberikan contoh bagaimana menjadi bersikap lemah lembut, saling menyayangi dan sifat keibuan. Sehingga siswa sekolah dasar akan memperoleh pendidikan dan percontohan yang komplit dari guru perempuan dan guru laki-laki. Kata Kunci : Peran Gender, Peran Guru, Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2017 Article 2 states that character education must be the leading spirit in Indonesia's delivery of education. This study aims to describe the religious character education model implemented at Al-Hilal Islamic Primary School Bekasi, which is supported by students' parents' participation to build a learning process that not only produces an output of students who can graduate from school but also produce students who have religious characters. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study method. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results are the synergistic relationship and active role of all parties; in this case, the school and parents have successfully shaped the Islamic religious character. Students' character is built on a strong foundation from the family and strengthened through the Islamic education system in schools.

Abstract

This is a qualitative-descriptive analytic research aims to explore cues in the Qur'an that describe the concept of multiple intelligences. In Islam, the Qur’an is a complete guide for life. Indeed, many books that talk about multiple intelligences. However, there hasn’t been a book that specifically explain multiple intelligences according to the perspective of the Qur’an. This qualitative research used a literature review (research library)—data obtained through a literary approach in library data collection. The data were then analyzed using a thematic interpretation approach (maudhu'i). Abstract

Peningkatankompetensiguru sekolah dasar memiliki andil yang cukup besar terhadap keberhasilan pendidikan, khususnya dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.Oleh karenanya guru sekolah dasar harus senantiasa berupaya meningkatkan kompetensinya. Salah satu kompetensi yang perlu ditingkatkan adalah kompetensi kepribadian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kasus-kasus dalam pendidikan yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi kepribadian guru sekolah dasar, kemudian menemukan upaya-upaya untuk meningkatkankompetensi kepribadian guru sekolah dasar. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenispenelitian pustaka.Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa upaya meningkatkan kompetensi kepribadian guru dapat dilakukan denganmemedomani amanah peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional, dan menerapkan teori-teori dari para pakar pendidikan.
