Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities often have difficulty understanding abstract concepts, including basic arithmetic operations in mathematics.  A Learning media was designed to bridge the gap in abstract understanding through a visual and interactive approach. The method used is research and development (RD) with the Hannafin Peck model through three stages: needs assessment, design, and development and implementation. The results of the implementation of learning media in the form of GeHi calculation boards as visual-interactive tools in basic mathematics learning for fourth-grade children with intellectual disabilities showed an increase in the ability to add and subtract with results below 100. This is shown by the improvement in the abilities of the four students, such as: increased motivation to learn mathematics, ability to order numbers from smallest to largest and vice versa, ability to distinguish and name numbers (units, tens, and hundreds) based on color coding, and ability to explain the steps of addition and subtraction using the downward pattern using the GeHi counting board.

Abstract

Studi ini menelusuri pola kesulitan berbahasa siswa kelas IV-V di SD Negeri 036 Tanggabosi, Mandailing Natal, sebagai fondasi merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih responsif. Melibatkan 44 siswa melalui pendekatan kombinasi kuantitatif-kualitatif (Mixed Method) selama enam pertemuan pembelajaran, penelitian mengungkap bahwa lebih dari separuh siswa (56,3%) mengalami kesulitan signifikan. Urutan kesulitan menunjukkan pola konsisten: menulis paling menantang (63,6% siswa kesulitan), diikuti berbicara (59,1%), membaca (54,5%), dan menyimak (47,7%). Temuan spesifik menunjukkan 72,7% siswa gagal mengidentifikasi ide pokok bacaan, 86,4% menghasilkan tulisan tanpa struktur jelas dan ejaan tidak tepat, 75,0% kehilangan konsentrasi saat menyimak, sementara 43,2% mengalami hambatan kepercayaan diri ketika berbicara. Akar permasalahan meliputi rendahnya motivasi belajar (70,5%), minimnya kebiasaan membaca (88,6%), pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang variatif, serta terbatasnya akses literasi. Temuan menegaskan urgensi transformasi pembelajaran melalui pendekatan interaktif, program remedial terarah, dan penguatan ekosistem literasi sekolah secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

In the digital era, human life has changed significantly, especially concerning the use of information and communication technology. This article discusses how parents can educate their children to navigate the digital era and the most effective methods to protect them from its threats. In today’s technological age, it is crucial for parents to understand the proper ways to educate their children. For this research, the investigator chose a more humane and personal data collection method. The study was conducted through direct interviews and semi-structured documentation with parents who are genuinely involved in their daily lives. The objective is to gather stories and individual perspectives on parental approaches to child education in this era of globalization and digitalization, characterized by numerous electronic devices and the internet. In the digital era, parents may face challenges in guiding their children, such as over-reliance on devices and disobedience to parental advice. Considering the many negative effects of technology use, parents are expected to teach their children how to use it properly.

Abstract

Menyimak merupakan keterampilan berbahasa yang berperan sebagai fondasi perkembangan kemampuan berbahasa lainnya. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis keterampilan menyimak sebagai proses kognitif aktif dengan mengintegrasikan perspektif linguistik, neurolinguistik, dan pedagogis. Penelitian dilakukan melalui kajian pustaka terhadap referensi mutakhir tahun 2020–2025. Secara linguistik, menyimak dipahami sebagai proses pemahaman bahasa lisan yang melibatkan analisis struktur fonologis, sintaksis, dan semantis. Dari perspektif neurolinguistik, menyimak merupakan aktivitas simultan yang melibatkan area pendengaran dan pusat bahasa di otak, termasuk korteks auditori dan area Broca–Wernicke. Sementara itu, secara pedagogis, menyimak merupakan keterampilan yang dapat dikembangkan melalui strategi metakognitif, penggunaan media multimodal, dan lingkungan belajar interaktif. Artikel ini menegaskan pentingnya pembelajaran menyimak yang berbasis strategi dan dukungan teknologi untuk membantu peserta didik memaksimalkan proses internalisasi makna. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan model pengajaran keterampilan menyimak dalam pembelajaran bahasa, khususnya di era digital yang menuntut kemampuan mengolah informasi secara cepat dan kritis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis proses morfologis berupa derivasi dan infleksi dalam Bahasa Madura Dialek Pamekasan. Bahasa Madura, khususnya dialek Pamekasan, memiliki sistem afiksasi yang kaya dan produktif, menggunakan prefiks (ter-ater), sufiks (panotèng), dan konfiks (ter-ater bân panotèng). Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan metode simak catat dan wawancara dengan penutur asli, serta dianalisis menggunakan metode distribusional dan padan referensial. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa proses derivasi berfungsi fundamental untuk mengubah kategori leksikal (kelas kata) dan makna dasar. Proses derivasi yang paling umum adalah konversi Nomina atau Adjektiva menjadi Verba melalui afiks seperti N- (satè menjadi nyatè) dan èpa- (petteng menjadi èpapetteng), atau konversi Verba/Adjektiva menjadi Nomina melalui paN- (tolès menjadi panolès) dan ka-an (sala menjadi kasalaan). Sebaliknya, proses infleksi berfungsi menambahkan informasi gramatikal tanpa mengubah kelas kata, terutama melekat pada Verba (misalnya tolès menjadi nolès dan kèbâ menjadi kèbâaghi) untuk menandai aspek gramatikal seperti keaktifan, kepasifan, atau tujuan. Kesimpulannya, afiksasi di Dialek Pamekasan memiliki peran ganda yang terpisah jelas: derivasi mengubah fungsi struktural, sedangkan infleksi memodifikasi fungsi gramatikal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prosedur supervisi pendidikan dan perannya dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dengan menganalisis literatur, artikel jurnal, dan penelitian terdahulu yang berkaitan dengan supervisi akademik dan manajerial di sekolah dan madrasah. Fokus penelitian adalah memahami proses supervisi, implementasinya, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta dampaknya terhadap hasil pembelajaran. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa prosedur supervisi yang sistematis meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut secara signifikan meningkatkan kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan di kelas, interaksi guru-siswa, serta praktik evaluasi. Supervisi yang efektif membutuhkan komitmen kepala sekolah, kesiapan guru, instrumen supervisi yang lengkap, dan dukungan teknologi, sementara hambatan seperti praktik formalitas, prosedur yang kurang sistematis, keterbatasan waktu, dan tindak lanjut yang minim dapat mengurangi efektivitas. Secara keseluruhan, supervisi yang berkesinambungan dan terstruktur memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kompetensi guru, kinerja pembelajaran, dan mutu layanan pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya supervisi terstruktur sebagai instrumen strategis untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to describe efforts to improve harakat-reading errors among beginner adult learners through the application of the shadow reading technique in private online instruction. The study employed the CAR design of Kemmis McTaggart and was conducted over two cycles involving three beginner-level mothers who participated in learning activities via WhatsApp video calls; each session lasted approximately 60 minutes. Data were collected through qualitative observation sheets, field notes, and documentation of reading materials, while data analysis followed the qualitative approach of Miles and Huberman (data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing). The results indicate that in Cycle I the participants still made several errors, particularly in mad (vowel length) and tasydid, but after the intervention in Cycle II the errors decreased significantly to an average of only 1–2 errors per participant. These findings illustrate that shadow reading can be used as an effort to improve harakat accuracy in private online learning with minimal facilities and adult participants, and they address a research gap regarding the application of shadowing among beginner mothers. The implications of this study include recommendations for incorporating repeated imitation exercises as an integral part of teaching harakat-based reading skills.

Abstract

Education is an important element in shaping the quality of human resources and determining a country's competitiveness in the era of globalization. Developed countries such as Australia have successfully implemented a structured, inclusive, and adaptive education system in line with technological developments, while developing countries such as Indonesia still face challenges in the form of unequal access, uneven teacher quality, and suboptimal curriculum implementation. This study aims to analyze the differences between the education systems of developed and developing countries through a review of the structure of education, the principles of implementation, the implementation of the curriculum, and the main problems faced. The method used is a literature study by collecting literature from books, scientific journals, and credible academic sources, which are then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively to obtain a comprehensive picture of the potential for developing the education system. The results of the study show that developed countries excel in education funding, teacher quality, competency-based curricula, and technology integration, while developing countries are still constrained by limited infrastructure, uneven teacher competency, and access gaps between urban and rural areas. A comparison with the Australian education system indicates that the principles of inclusivity, curriculum flexibility, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous evaluation can serve as strategic references for Indonesia in improving the quality of its education. Thus, education reform in developing countries can be more effective through strengthening teacher competencies, increasing funding, modernizing the curriculum, and equalizing infrastructure to realize quality, relevant, and sustainable education.

Abstract

Vocational education requires innovative learning media to adapt to technological developments and industrial needs. However, the condition at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang shows that the use of learning media is still limited, causing students to be less motivated, especially in computer graphics subjects. This situation has an impact on low learning outcomes, where most students have not yet achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an educational maze game on computer graphics elements that is valid and practical, so it can help improve students’ understanding and learning motivation. The research method employed was Research and Development (RD) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were Grade X DKV students at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. Research instruments included media expert validation, material expert validation, as well as practicality tests by teachers and students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The development process involved designing the storyline and storyboard, creating the game using Construct 2 and CorelDraw, followed by implementation in the learning process, and evaluation based on validation and practicality results. The research results show that the developed maze educational game met the criteria of being highly valid, with an average media validity score of 88.46% and material validity of 95.83%. The practicality test indicated that the game was highly practical, with an average score of 97.22% from teachers and 89.48% from students. Thus, the maze educational game on computer graphics elements is considered feasible as a learning medium, as it effectively increases students’ interest, motivation, and understanding of the subject matter.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a deep learning approach and its impact on the cognitive, emotional, and psychological development of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Cepogo. The research employed a qualitative method through observation and interviews. The findings indicate that teachers have begun to implement deep learning through problem-based learning, simple projects, reflective discussions, and the use of digital media. This implementation has a positive impact on student development, including improvements in critical thinking skills, self-confidence, emotional regulation, independence, and curiosity. The challenges identified include limited time, instructional media, and teachers’ understanding of the approach. Teachers’ efforts to address these challenges include scaffolding, the use of simple media, group work, and training related to the Merdeka Curriculum. Overall, deep learning contributes significantly to improving the quality of both the learning process and student learning outcomes.
