Abstract

Character education values are moral principles that serve as guidelines in the formation of a person's personality, including attitudes, actions, and positive habits applied in everyday life. This study analyzes the values of character education in the film Theeb by Naji Abu Nowar using the content analysis method. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the values of character education reflected in the verbal expressions or speech of the characters in the film Theeb. The research data in the form of dialogues in the film were analyzed based on five indicators of character education, namely religious, nationalism, independence, cooperation, and integrity. Based on the results of the analysis, nine main values were found, namely the value of cooperation, religious values, independence and integrity values, responsibility values, nationalist values, loyalty values, empathy and solidarity values, caring values, and courage and determination values. In addition, several points in the analysis indicate a relationship with the values of character education in the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Parents' and teachers' unrecognized talents and learning difficulties in children between the ages of two and five often cause children to lose opportunities to develop according to their potential and talents. Parents' and teachers' lack of understanding of the learning difficulties experienced by gifted children causes them to fail to achieve their potential. To reduce the failure rate among gifted children, researchers conducted development research using the Hannafin and Peck Research and Development model, as well as data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies at the Bloom Child Development Center in Bekasi City. The results of this study show that the instruments developed are easy for teachers at the Bloom Child Development Center in Bekasi City to understand and use in identifying learning difficulties in gifted children at the perceptual-motor stage of development (2-5 years). These instruments consist of: instruments for identifying gifted children and identifying learning development at the perceptual-motor and cognitive stages through the elaboration of theories of giftedness and child development.

Abstract

The results of the study indicate that school-based character education at MI Al-Wasatiyah Tangerang runs effectively through the integration of the roles of teachers, parents, and extracurricular activities. . And also through observations and interviews, MI Al-Wasatiyah fosters moral values through daily habituation programs where children are required to read the Quran, pray dhuha and so on as well as to integrate values into the curriculum and teaching methods, and the importance of teachers as models and mentors. Parents and extracurricular activities contribute to implementation, but there is room for improvement in personal direction and parental participation. The quality of character education must be improved through training teachers, guidance engineering systems, digital tracking, and system management and providing effective communication strategies to parents for optimal results. This study concludes that MI Al-Wasatiyah has achieved a significant level of success in character education programs, with a note on the need to increase personal guidance for 20% of 40 students, namely 8 students who still need special attention, as well as the development of a digital tracking system for continuous monitoring of student progress. Abstract

This research aims to design a Decision Support System (DSS) for selecting student organizations at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi. The background of this study stems from the lack of objective information and the mismatch between students’ interests and the types of organizations available, which often leads to inappropriate organizational choices. To address this issue, the study seeks to design a model that assists students in choosing student organizations that align with their preferences and personal characteristics using the Monte Carlo simulation method. The Monte Carlo simulation method is employed to predict the number of prospective members for each student organization by generating random numbers based on historical data from 2022 to 2024. The simulation process was conducted over 365 iterations for each organization, applying a random distribution approach to produce realistic and representative outcomes. The simulation results were then validated using the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) method to measure the model’s accuracy against actual 2024 data. The validation results showed an MAE value of 22.25 and a model accuracy of 79.63%. These findings indicate that the developed simulation model is sufficiently accurate and reliable in predicting student interest in various organizations. Furthermore, the system successfully identified the top five most popular student organizations based on the highest predicted number of members, which can serve as a reference for the university in developing organizational guidance and promotional strategies. Overall, this system provides a tangible contribution to supporting more objective and data-driven decision-making processes within the higher education environment, particularly in the field of student affairs.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of teachers in shaping students' emotional aspects and its impact on academic achievement at the elementary school level. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and interviews with four students and two teachers. The results showed that three out of four students (75%) felt more motivated to learn due to emotional support from their teachers, and all students (100%) reported feeling comfortable in the classroom when they had a positive emotional connection with the teacher. Furthermore, 75% of the students stated that their academic performance improved after developing an emotional bond with the teacher. On the other hand, all teachers (100%) acknowledged the importance of emotional relationships in the learning process, although one teacher (50%) experienced initial difficulties in understanding students' diverse personalities. These findings emphasize that a teacher's role goes beyond delivering academic content; it also includes serving as an emotional companion who influences students' motivation, comfort, and overall academic success.

Abstract

This qualitative investigation examines how Indonesian primary schools incorporate digital civic competence as a means of advancing Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis methodology, the research analyzes national educational frameworks, scholarly discourse, and institutional practices within the contexts of Kurikulum Merdeka, Profil Pelajar Pancasila, and Adiwiyata (Green School) initiatives. Results indicate growing integration of digital civic education through project-based learning, digital narrative approaches, and responsible online participation that cultivate learners' analytical capabilities and civic consciousness. Nevertheless, substantial obstacles remain, including insufficient educator capacity, disparate technological access across regions, and limited development of context-specific ethical guidelines. The research offers a novel theoretical framework by synthesizing Pancasila values with digital civic education and sustainability principles, positioning moral, civic, and technological literacy as interconnected elements within transformative pedagogical practice. This integrated perspective highlights the necessity for systematic policy execution, continuous professional learning for educators, and culturally responsive instructional approaches to foster inclusive, ethically grounded, and sustainable digital educational ecosystems consistent with SDG targets.

Abstract

The current global humanitarian crisis, encompassing war, ethnic violence, human rights violations, economic inequality, and environmental degradation, presents urgent moral and spiritual challenges for the church as the body of Christ. In this context, the church is called to fulfill its prophetic role, proclaiming justice, truth, and peace, while serving as a witness of God’s reconciling love in the world. Peace is understood not merely as the absence of conflict, but as the restoration of relationships between humans, God, fellow humans, and creation, as implied in the concepts of syalom and eirene. The church’s prophetic calling demands moral courage to oppose injustice, discrimination, and practices that undermine human dignity, while offering practical solutions grounded in love, justice, and reconciliation. In practice, church strategies include peace education, social advocacy, reconciliation, interfaith and cross-sector collaboration, as well as utilizing technology to disseminate messages of peace. This theological and prophetic dimension emphasizes that the church’s calling is holistic spiritual, social, and structural so that peace becomes a tangible experience for individuals, communities, and society at large. Thus, a church that lives out its prophetic calling is not only a teacher of God’s truth but also a social transformation agent relevant to global dynamics. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research, with descriptive analytical analysis of theological literature, church documents, and academic writings on peace theology. This method enables the identification of key ideas, interpretation of theological meanings, and translation of the church’s prophetic peace concepts into contemporary social contexts
