Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketersediaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH)yang ada di Kota Serang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa luas RTH Kota Serang masih belum  mencukupi ketentuan Undang-Undang. Total luas RTH pada tahun 2016 adalah sebesar 7361,7  Haatau sekitar 27,6% luas wilayah Pemerintahan Kota Serang sebesar 2.518,9 Ha dipenuhi oleh RTH publik sedangkan sisanya, 4.842,2 Ha, diisi oleh RTH privat. Hanya RTH di dua kecamatan yang memenuhi Permendagri Nomor 1 Tahun 2007 dan Permen PU Nomor 05/PRT/M/2008 yakni kecamatan Kasemen dan Cipocok Jaya. Kecamatan Serang masih kurang 63,22 ha RTH sedangkan Kecamatan Taktakan kurang 284,53 ha. Kecamatan Walantaka dan Kecamatan Curug juga masih kurang masingmasing sebesar 965,44 ha dan 1.192,74 ha. Ruang Terbuka Hijau paling luas di Kota Serang berada diKecamatan Kasemendengan total 3.333,594 Ha atau sekitar 45,28%  dari luas wilayah Kota Serang. Berdasarkan proyeksi, luas RTH yang harus tersedia di Kota Serang berdasar kan jumlah penduduk pada tahun 2016 adalah 1.311ha, 1.336 ha pada tahun 2017, 1.362 ha pada tahun 2018, 1.388 ha pada tahun2019 dan 1.415 ha pada tahun 2020.

Abstract

The asphalt concrete layer is a wear layer or AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course) is a type of pavement layer located at the top on the road surface. This layer is designed to be resistant to vehicle wheel pressure, shear force and as a protective construction underneath against damage caused by weather and water. However, over time the asphalt concrete layer that is often found in the field has not reached the design age, there have been damage such as permanent deformation, cracks, and waves that can disturb the comfort and safety of traffic users. One of the efforts to improve the quality of the laston mixture is to modify the asphalt mixture with polymer materials, namely styrofoam waste. The study aimed to determine the marshall parameters on the best use of modified asphalt styrofoam waste according to the requirements of highways. The styrofoam waste in this research was taken from the rest of the ready to eat food packaging as a substitute for part of the asphalt with a percentage of 0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12% and 15% with the wet and dry method. The method used in the study was Bina Marga 2010 revision 4 of 2018. The results of the study showed that for the wet method that meets the requirements of Bina Marga, the asphalt content is 5.50% with 12% styrofoam percentage and the stability value is 1000.52 Kg and dry method obtained the best results asphalt content of 5.00% styrofoam percentage 15% with a value of 1623.40 Kg.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to review the effectiveness of chlorination in eradicating viruses (and bacteria) in drinking water and wastewater so that people can get scientific information on the practice of eradicating the new Corona virus. The research method was carried out by reviewing scientific articles obtained from the search engine scholar.google.com, the National Library website and textbooks. Chlorine is able to deactivate the virus on objects that are splashed by the patient's saliva. Giving chlorine doses of 0.2–40 mg / l and remaining free chlorine 0.2–0.5 mg / l, chlorination is effective in eradicating viruses and bacteria in drinking water. When the bacteria die, the virus dies or is inactive. The new Corona virus blanket can also be destroyed by chlorine. Researchers have also found genetic traces of the new Corona virus in wastewater. The genetic traces of the new Corona virus found in wastewater could be a latent danger for a new outbreak in the post-pandemic or new normal period. PDAM water that contains chlorine becomes important during the new normal period so it must be provided in public and social facilities.

Abstract

The level of community recognition of medicinal plants in the Peusangan Selatan district of Bireun Regency is still low and has not been scientifically validated. This study aims to know about the community knowledge in used plant as traditional medicine. The method used in data collection is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and observation techniques. Inter-views were conducted semi-structurally based on a number of questionnaires. Collection of plant specimens is taken di-rectly from the location of growth assisted by the respondent or community. Primary data obtained from interviews were tabulated and  then  analyzed descriptively and presented In tables and figures. The results of the study obtained 23 species of medicinal plants that were grouped into 13 family. The most of plant used are from the  ingiberaceae and Apiaceae. Percentage of plant species that are often used based on community knowledge are Curcuma longa, Carica papaya, Jatropa curcas, Lowsoniaenermis.

Abstract

Electroplating wastewater containing metal Cr (VI), which has a high toxicity. An  alternative treatment is absorbed using microalgae Chlorella sp. Chlorella sp. has the ability to synthesize glutathione phytochelatin (GSH) to respond to the toxic effects of heavy metals. If the micro algae cannot synthesize phytochelatin properly, the cells will die due to exposure to heavy metals in a long contact time. In this study, GSH was added to the metal biosorption process by micro algae Chlorella sp. This study aimed on  determining the effect of the adding   GSH during the biosorption process. The study was conducted with variations of  GSH (0, 5, 10, and 15 mg/L) and variations of  contact time (1, 2, 3, and 4 days). The results of this study show that  high cell density occurred in the reactor with the addition of GSH 15 mg/L which is 1.72x106 cells/ml. The highest removal of Cr (VI) metal occurred in  4 day contact  with the addition of GSH 15 mg/L and obtained a 72% removal efficiency.

Abstract

This environmentally sound behavior is conveyed through giving courses on sustainability. The purpose of this study is to determine differences in environmental behavior, environmental imagine and environmental protection between students who receive courses on sustainability and students who do not. The method used is a quantitative method with data collection using a survey method through distributing questionnaires. The population used is students from the Faculty of Business as students who receive the subject of sustainability (in one subject, namely the Sustainability and Business subject) and students from the Engineering faculty (not from the Environmental Engineering study program), the computing faculty and the humanities faculty who do not get a special subject regarding sustainability. Samples were chosen deliberately with the criteria being President University students. The collected data were analyzed using the chi-square test to show significant differences regarding environmental behavior, environmental imagine and environmental protection. The results obtained indicate that there is no difference in environmental imagine and environmental protection between student that ever have sustainability subject and the student had not. In environmental behavior, several statements showed the differences and some not, such as witness burning rubbish, wasting of food, wasting of electricity and animal abuse.

Abstract

Some areas in the city of Bandung is an area that dilitasi by the flow of the river, to prevent the introduction of garbage into the river basin is necessary to note the waste management systems in residential areas along the river. Cidurian river has a length of 24.86 Km along the river flow. Consists of the city of Bandung and Bandung regency. Administrative regions Cidurian River past eight (8) districts, from the region in the District Kiaracondong precisely Village Babakan Babakan Sari and Surabaya populous and the most densely populated. Thus, there should be community-based waste management in the form of a reduction in resources to prevent potential entry of waste into the river basin. Planning waste reduction will be divided into two, namely the reduction of inorganic waste with waste bank then the reduction of organic waste with absorption holes biopori, and bio reactor mini determination of the reduction is determined by the results of the analysis of the sampling covers the composition and garbage, then the result of the measurement characteristics test and analysis results questionnaire.

Abstract

The number of people utilizing the city market facility is likely to increase day by day. It causes  the market conditions to become congested. Therefore, it cannot be denied that  the  existing main roads are definetly affected by this condition. For this reason, the performance of the roads needs to be further reviewed since they are openly accessed by the community also due tothe influence of Teratai Market activities. A descriptive method is used in this studyby surveying the conditions of the Komyos Sudarso road. The calculation  is carried out based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results of this study shows that the activities of the Teratai Market greatly affect road capacity resulting in the increased of traffic volume. When the market operates, the trafficbecomes denser as  such a large number of vehicles are commuting on the road. The observation area is included in a commercial area with high roadside activity as evidenced by a side friction survey which shows a high side friction class count with a weighted frequency of 508.3. The results of the road performance show that Jalan Komyos Sudarso is still not saturated, in which the DS value is 0.34 and the average speed of light vehicles is 42 km/hour.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to determine the optimum conditions of extraction using conventional methods (maceration) and ultrasonic methods by using response surface method (RSM). The variables used in this study is the ratio of solvent with black pepper, temperature and time of extraction. Solvents used in this study is 99% ethanol. The bigest yield of oleoresin using maceration method was  4.42% with a ratio of solvent and black pepper for 1: 4 g / ml and extraction time of 4.68 hours. GC-MS test showed that the piperine contained in oleoresin extracted by using maceration are respectively69.92% FT-IR test showed that oleoresin extracted using maceration have the same bound that same as piperine bound. Organoleptic test showed that oleoresin produced by using maceration meet the requirement of ISO standards 06-2388-1998 (dark brown color, pepper smell and thick paste form).

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 virus has been widespread all over the world since its discovery in 2019. However, the spread of this virus can be prevented by means of health protocols conforming to World Health Organization standards. The Indonesian government continues to educate the public, especially school-aged children, to understand how to implement the health protocol. On the basis of the foregoing, it is necessary to carry out research on the creation of an interactive media based on multimedia content that can be used to educate on COVID-19 prevention, specifically for elementary school children. The research begins with problem analysis, storyboard writing, creating 3D animation characters, and merging all content into a complete 3D animation video. The results of this study are 3D animated multimedia content which presents 3D animated scenes on the application of health protocols such as hand washing with soap, wear masks and keep distance.
