Abstract

This study emphasizes the importance of early childhood education (PAUD) as a golden period in shaping children's character and social skills. The main objective of this study is to describe the application of role-playing methods in improving the quality of children's social interactions. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method, involving five informants consisting of a school principal, two educators, and two parents of students. Data were collected through participatory observation, focused interviews, and documentation in the form of photos of activities, anecdotal notes, and child development observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing with validity testing using triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results showed that role-playing encouraged children to recognize various social roles in life, develop the ability to express emotions, express opinions, and appreciate differences. Educators acted as facilitators who designed contextual learning scenarios based on everyday life themes. A conducive learning environment and the availability of learning media also support the success of this method. The evaluation was conducted through anecdotal notes and children's social observation sheets. The research concluded that role-playing effectively fosters empathy, communication, and emotional control. Further training for teachers is recommended to ensure more structured and optimal implementation.

Abstract

  Early childhood education must be implemented using the right approach, in order to support the cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities of students. Therefore, a curriculum and learning methods are needed that must be relevant to interconnected science. This study aims to describe the implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the results of the application of the independent curriculum through the Montessori learning method at PAUD Perpilot Plamboyan 3 Karawang. The independent curriculum emphasizes learning activities using the concept of "Freedom to Learn, Freedom to Play". This is in line with the Montessori learning method which emphasizes the freedom of children to be able to explore according to the needs and interests of each child through the involvement of all five senses. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, namely a research method that focuses on analyzing and reconstructing according to the data obtained. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. While the subjects of this study were one principal, two educators and three parents of students. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the independent curriculum through the Montessori learning method at PAUD Percontohan Plamboyan 3 Karawang has been running well in accordance with the independent curriculum reference by combining Montessori principles in learning activities. Where students are focused on 3 main focuses of learning, namely intracurricular, co-curricular and extracurricular.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in mobilizing the community to actively participate in the development and management of Trokon River tourism in Cawang Lama Village, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu. The research technique used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that POKDARWIS implements a community empowerment strategy through tour guide training, lodging management, local product processing, and the formation of community-based business groups. Although this strategy has received community support, challenges remain, especially in terms of understanding the concept of sustainable tourism and limited infrastructure. For this reason, POKDARWIS collaborates with the community and ensures the sustainability of tourism. This study concludes that community participation is very important in the development of tourism based on local wisdom, and that collaborative and participatory mobilization strategies are the key to its success.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in improving the socialization skills of early childhood children with speech delay at PAUD Plamboyan 3 Karawang. Children with speech delays often struggle with verbal communication, which affects their ability to interact socially with peers. In this study, teachers serve as facilitators, motivators, and guides who assist children in developing social skills through child-friendly learning approaches. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers create inclusive learning environments, provide consistent language stimulation, and implement group activities that encourage social interaction. Furthermore, collaboration between teachers and parents plays a key role in enhancing children’s social abilities. Children with speech delay demonstrated positive development, including increased confidence in greeting others, playing together, and participating in class activities. The study concludes that the active role of teachers is crucial in supporting the social development of children with speech delays. Keywords: teacher’s role, speech delay, social skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bersosialisasi anak usia dini yang mengalami keterlambatan bicara (speech delay) di PAUD Plamboyan 3 Karawang. Anak dengan speech delay sering mengalami kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi verbal yang berdampak pada interaksi sosialnya dengan teman sebaya. Dalam penelitian ini, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator, motivator, dan pengarah yang membantu anak mengembangkan keterampilan sosial melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang ramah anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif, memberikan stimulus bahasa secara rutin, dan menerapkan aktivitas kelompok yang mendorong interaksi sosial. Selain itu, kerja sama antara guru dan orang tua sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bersosialisasi anak. Anak-anak speech delay menunjukkan perkembangan positif seperti keberanian untuk menyapa, bermain bersama, dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan kelas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peran aktif guru sangat penting dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial anak dengan keterlambatan bicara. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of leadership in developing an excellent vocational training institution (LPK) in Bengkulu City. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of this study show the role of leadership in developing vocational training institutions in Bengkulu City. First, it describes the functions of leadership, namely the leader as the decision maker, as the spokesperson for the organization, as an effective communicator, as a mediator, and as an integrator. Second, it describes the characteristics of transformational leadership style, namely leaders who set an example, encourage subordinates' performance, harmonize the work environment, empower subordinates, and are able to deal with difficult situations. Third, it describes the main components of transformational leadership, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. These components complement each other in forming an effective leadership style, encouraging followers to reach their maximum potential, creating an inspiring vision, encouraging creativity, and paying attention to individual needs and development on a personal level.

Abstract

The Kagano Handwritten Batik Skills Program in Talang Kering Village, Air Napal District, North Bengkulu, aims to develop the creativity of PKK women through batik training based on local culture. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and data analysis conducted using triangulation to ensure validity. The results show that the batik training not only enhances the technical skills of canting (batik applying) for PKK women who previously had no experience but also fosters creativity in designing original motifs and choosing colors aligned with local cultural values, such as the Rafflesia motif and Kaganga script. This activity provides participants with space to express themselves and explore creative ideas independently, consistent with the theory of divergent thinking in creativity. Additionally, the program contributes to economic empowerment, as the skills acquired open opportunities for independent businesses and additional income for the PKK women. The training also strengthens participants’ confidence and solidarity while serving as a means of preserving local culture through the inheritance of traditional motifs. Therefore, the Kagano Handwritten Batik Program not only supports the technical capacity and creativity of the participants but also promotes social-economic and cultural development at the community level. These findings emphasize the importance of non-formal education as an effective means of developing life skills and creativity in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategies implemented by PPKBD (Village Family Planning Assistants) in disseminating the Female Sterilization Method (Metode Operasi Wanita/MOW) in Sirnabaya Village, Telukjambe Timur Subdistrict, Karawang Regency. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, complemented by snowball sampling to identify other relevant sources. The findings reveal that the strategies used by PPKBD include personal, educational, participatory, and collaborative approaches involving local health institutions. Supporting factors for successful dissemination include PPKBD’s emotional closeness to the community and support from PLKB and community leaders. Barriers encountered involve low public awareness, misinformation, and limited resources. The study concludes that effective strategy and communication are key to increasing community participation in the MOW program.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Basic Training Education (Diklatsar) in Student Nature Lover Organizations (Mapala) in shaping the conservation character of members in the Bekasi Karawang region. The character values examined include environmental awareness, cooperation, responsibility, independence, critical thinking, and their application in daily life. This research is motivated by the lack of character education as a means of instilling conservation values deeply and sustainably among the younger generation. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects consist of nine informants who are chairpersons, mentors, and active members from three Mapala organizations in Bekasi and Karawang namely Mapalaska, Kapal Baja, and Mapala Petang. The main focus of the study is on three aspects of Diklatsar implementation planning, execution, and evaluation, as well as how these activities shape the members conservation character. The findings reveal that the implementation of Basic Training in these organizations has been structured and oriented towards character development through experiential learning. Thus, Basic Training Education in Mapala serves not only as a model of nature-based youth education but also as an alternative solution for shaping students character in environmental concern, collaboration, responsibility, independence, and critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the recitation method in enhancing the engagement of Paket C learners in English language learning at SKB Karawang. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the recitation method is effective in increasing learning activeness, as reflected in improved participation, willingness to ask questions, involvement in discussions, and the ability to evaluate learning outcomes. The implementation process includes task assignment, execution, and accountability, which foster learner independence and critical thinking skills. Supporting factors in the implementation include positive psychological conditions and guidance from tutors, while inhibiting factors involve learners' physical conditions and an unsupportive learning environment. Therefore, the recitation method can be considered an effective strategy to enhance the learning activeness of learners at SKB Karawang.

Abstract

This research article aims to find out bridal makeup training in an effort to foster the independence of package C learning citizens at PKBM nurul islam karawang. the background of this training is the high dropout rate, especially for women so that this training exists. The importance of the research topic is the relevance of learning needs to learning citizens, bridal makeup has high economic value and practical skills so that it can foster economic independence. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This data collection technique uses observation and semi-structured interviews with research subjects totaling 5 people including 1 manager, 1 instructor, and 3 learning citizens. Data collection using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The conclusion of this research is that all bridal makeup training processes carried out at PKBM are well implemented and in accordance with existing mechanisms. In the process of implementing this training using the Learning by doing method. The instructor will explain the material and also provide teaching materials in the form of modules and practice with the media props or models, then the participants will practice following the instructor to the model. The results of this training have an impact on the independence of the trainees where they are very happy to have new skills so that in the future they can open jobs and entrepreneurship independently.
