Abstract

Departing from the need to enhance the practical skills of equivalency program learners in relation to entrepreneurship, this study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of CorelDraw-based graphic design training at PKBM Tim Suara Masyarakat Dawuan Cikampek in fostering entrepreneurial character. The research was conducted using a qualitative-descriptive approach with a case study method, supported by data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants included training organizers, instructors, and learners. The results showed that the training was carried out in three stages: pre-training, implementation, and evaluation. Supporting factors such as instructor competence, structured training design, relevant material, and learner motivation contributed to the success of the program. The findings indicate that the training positively influenced the development of entrepreneurial traits among learners, including selfconfidence, responsibility, risk-taking, leadership, originality, and future orientation. The main challenge identified was related to technological changes and participants' limited access to appropriate devices. Therefore, similar training programs should be developed sustainably and be responsive to technological developments to ensure that learners are equipped to face entrepreneurial challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Learning needs can be interpreted as a gap between the level of knowledge, skills, or attitudes possessed at a certain time and the level of knowledge. Learning needs are skills, and or attitudes that a person, group, institution, and or community wants to acquire which can only be achieved through learning activities. There are four steps that must be taken in the learning needs analysis procedure as follows: which were put forward by Sujarwo (2020). Needs analysis is a procedure for collecting information about the needs of learners by analyzing their goals or targets, deficiencies, and desires or interests. Needs analysis is carried out to find out information about learners related to their goals in participating in the learning program. Their attitudes to learning, their previous learning experiences, regarding their preferred learning style or needs and background are also part of the information collection process. This information can be collected through various sources including institutions and through the learners themselves.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of a Canva-based digital poster design training in empowering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Kp. Pasir Handap, West Bandung. The training aimed to enhance participants’ technical skills, digital literacy, and confidence in using technology for promotional purposes. Employing a one-group pretest-posttest design, the study involved ten MSME participants with limited prior experience in graphic design. Quantitative data collected through pre- and post-training questionnaires revealed significant improvements in participants’ understanding and use of Canva’s basic features. The training also incorporated adult learning principles (andragogy) to ensure contextual and practical learning experiences. The results suggest that simple, targeted digital training can effectively bridge technological gaps among rural entrepreneurs, contributing to improved marketing capabilities and supporting the broader agenda of digital transformation in Indonesia’s informal sector.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the prototype of the Student Leadership Program at TPQ Mohamad Amin Darunnajah 15 in Bengkulu City. This program is designed to shape the character, communication skills, and organizational abilities of students through a comprehensive educational approach. The method used is a qualitative case study with interviews with the TPQ principal, ustadz, and ustadzah. The results of the study indicate that the program has been running, but is not yet structured. The program focuses not only on academic aspects, but also on moral development, memorization (tahfidz), fiqh, Arabic language, tajwid, and public speaking. The program faces challenges such as low public and parental awareness of the importance of religious education, as well as student fatigue due to the density of formal school activities. The program's success is supported by collaboration between teachers and parental support. Regular sharing and guidance activities help students manage emotions and share experiences. Researchers have designed an initial model of the program that has reached the stage of forming a student organizational structure (OSCIMA), oriented towards character, communication, and social-emotional skills. This study recommends improving the quality of mentoring for teachers and regular evaluation for more optimal program development.

Abstract

Family Education in Developing Independent Character at An-Nuriyyah Orphanage. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. This study aims to determine how the implementation of family education in social institutions, particularly orphanages, shapes the independent character of children in orphanages. Children living in orphanages generally come from broken or less harmonious family backgrounds, thus lacking direct family education experience from their biological parents. Therefore, the role of caregivers is crucial as substitutes for families, not only responsible for caring for and protecting but also guiding and educating children in their daily lives. Family education in this context is aimed at fostering independent character, namely the child's ability to solve problems, make decisions, act consistently, and not depend on others. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation.

Abstract

This  study  examines  the cultural  strategies  of  Balinese  families  in  maintaining  cultural  rites  in transmigrant communities, especially in Kayu Negehri Village, Lampung Province. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study indicate that the strategies of Balinese families in maintaining cultural rites are carried out informally through daily practices such as praying together, ngayah, and making banten. These strategies include early enculturation, strengthening communication of the meaning of the rites, and collaboration with the indigenous community. Parents not only develop skills, but also shape children's understanding and emotional continuity of cultural values. The inheritance process takes place through habituation, role models, and contextual meaning of each cultural activity. This study emphasizes the importance of family education as a cultural strategy in maintaining Balinese rites amidst the challenges of global culture and multicultural life.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation and impact of the Nikah Balai Program organized by the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) of Bengkulu City. As a form of non-formal education-based social intervention, this program aims to empower women and protect children in underprivileged families by overcoming economic and administrative barriers to marriage that is valid according to religion and the state. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a focus on the 2024 implementation, which facilitated the marriage process and legal documents for seven underprivileged couples in Bengkulu City. This program applies the “Six in One” model, which includes financing the procession, KUA administration, dowry, population documents, and family education. Data was obtained through documentation, observation, and interviews with stakeholders and beneficiaries. The results of the study show that this program not only legalizes marriage status and updates population documents, including E-Simil certificates, but also increases family awareness, strengthens the position of women, and guarantees children's rights.
