Abstract

In 2021 at the Tapos Health Center, out of 9,352 hypertensive patients aged ≥ 15 years, only 1,547 people (16.5%) received standard services. This problem is a serious health challenge because hypertension contributes to the high mortality rate in the region. The purpose of this study is to identify the problem and its causes and provide alternatives to the existing problem. The research design used for this study is descriptive analytical. This research aims to identify problems and their causes and provide alternatives to existing problems. Data collection and observation were carried out offline  and then the data was processed using the Matrix Criteria Method. The results obtained for the problem that is the top priority is the low public interest in health promotion. Therefore, alternative problem solving is needed that can increase public interest in participating in health promotion. As a solution, planning sustainable health programs related to hypertension is a top priority to increase public awareness and participation in hypertension prevention. The program includes periodic health checks, counseling, and joint sports activities. It is hoped that through this program, it can overcome the low public interest in health promotion and ultimately help reduce the risk of hypertension and improve overall public health.

Abstract

Based on the website of the Centre for Food and Drug Policy Analysis, in Indonesia in 2023 there were 1772 incidents due to food poisoning. North Sumatra Province is the fifth highest case in Indonesia in the scope of the region due to food poisoning. Good implementation should be applied in the HACCP food management quality system. Making rujak ulek from production to the final stage to consumers allows the fruit to be contaminated with pollutants because the fruit contains almost 100% water so it is easily damaged. This study aims to identify hazards related to the process of making rujak ulek in Bandar Khalipah Village, Deli Serdang Regency in 2024. This research is qualitative type with descriptive observational method using HACCP approach. The total sample used was 32 rujak ulek traders specifically on Jalan Pasar 7, Bandar Khalipah Village. This study uses research instruments in the form of interview guidelines, observation forms and stationery. The results showed that most of the rujak ulek traders have not fulfilled Personal Hygiene, Place/Sanitation Facilities, Processing/Serving of Good Food according to the Indonesian Minister of Health No. 942/Menkes/SK/VII/2003. Based on hazard identification there are 2 potential hazards and critical control points there are 4 processes identified in the process of making rujak ulek. There are researcher recommendations for rujak ulek traders related to personal hygiene and place/sanitation infrastructure and it is recommended to develop a HACCP system.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious problem in Indonesia that has a direct impact on growth and development in children. This study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) in Jeladri Village to prevent stunting in children under five. It involves the implementation of the PMT, which provides a nutrient-rich supplementary menu, as well as intensive socialization activities to the village community. The results showed that PMT can have a significant positive impact on improving the nutritional status of children in Jeladri Village. The PMT menu is specially selected and designed to provide nutrition that contains essential nutrients needed for optimal growth in children under five. Nonetheless, the study also identified several obstacles, such as a lack of community understanding and participation in the program. While there has been an increase in awareness of the importance of nutrition for children, further efforts are needed to improve the level of understanding and active community involvement in the PMT program. This is important to significantly reduce stunting rates in the future. In this context, the research recommendations suggest the need to improve national nutrition policies that are more integrated and effective. In addition, a comprehensive and sustainable approach is needed in the implementation of stunting prevention programs across Indonesia. This includes not only nutrition education and access to PMT, but also health system strengthening and support from various parties including local governments.

Abstract

Based on the preliminary study on the respondents of the Rangkasbitung Community Health Centre Area, Lebak-Banten Regency, it was found that mothers who did not carry out exclusive breastfeeding were caused by various factors, including the small amount of breast milk produced by the mother or even not coming out. Other causes are working mothers and external factors that influence them such as stress (deep thoughts) experienced by new mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency distribution of extrinsic and extrinsic motivation in exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months in the Rangkasbitung Health Centre Area, Lebak-Banten Regency.
