Abstract

This literature study examines the lack of awareness of Muslim society towards the importance of technology using a qualitative literature study approach and documentation techniques. The results of the study identify several current technologies that can change the world, such as AI, IoT, sustainable energy, and medical innovation, and highlight the contributions of prominent Muslim scientists such as Al-Zahrawi in surgery, Al-Khawarizmi in algebra, Ibn Al-Haitam in optics, Ibn Sina in medicine, and Ibn Firnas in aviation. This study also shows Islam's support for the development of science and technology as stated in the Qur'an (Al-'Alaq 1-5, Al-Mujadilah 11, Al-Anbiya 80) and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which emphasizes the priority of seeking knowledge and the position of knowledgeable people. Primary research data comes from the journal "Muslim Intellectual Contribution to the Development of Science and Technology" by Holis et al. Abstract

Terrorism has harmful effects on both individuals and society. This research uses a descriptivequalitative approach, gathering data through a literature review. The findings conclude that terrorism is an act of violence carried out in various ways to intimidate groups or individuals in order to uphold ideologies, beliefs, politics, or similar aims. Terrorism falls into six categories: cyberterrorism, basic terrorism, revolutionary, sub-revolutionary, epiphenomenal, and repressive. According to Max Weber's theory of rationality, the causes of terrorism are: Instrumental rationality: Terrorism as a tool to gain territory or influence. Affective rationality: Terrorist acts as a form of affective expression. Traditional rationality: Terrorism as a customary practice. Value rationality: Terrorist acts as a manifestation of values and ideology. Additionally, there's another rationality related toterrorism: distorted rationality, where terrorism occurs due to a misunderstanding of the meaning of religion itself. Anti-terrorism education can be implemented by addressing the root causes of terrorism, empowering communities, promoting moderation in understanding or religion, instilling compassion, nationalism, and unity, and preventing factors that trigger terrorist acts.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) concerns various competencies, namely pedagogical, personal, social and professional skills that an educator must have. A PAI teacher is not only tasked with delivering material, but also plays an important role in instilling Islamic values in the learning process. In the digital era, the challenges faced by PAI teachers are increasingly complex, including moral crises, demands for digital literacy, curriculum changes, and the need to improve the quality of human resources. However, technological advances also provide great opportunities for PAI teachers to improve their professionalism. By utilizing interactive learning, more flexible access to materials, and developing digital skills, they can create more engaging and effective learning experiences for students. Therefore, the professional development of PAI teachers through technology-based training and development needs to continue to be supported so that they are ready to face the challenges of globalization and meet educational needs in the modern era.

Abstract

Islamic educational philosophy forms a conceptual foundation that integrates epistemology, ontology, and axiology into a holistic and transcendental education system. This study highlights that knowledge in Islam is not only derived from reason and experience but primarily from divine revelation as the highest and most authoritative source. Islamic educational ontology views humans as both spiritual and physical beings, tasked with worship and stewardship on earth. Axiologically, Islamic education upholds absolute, revelation-based values that serve as moral guidance in shaping students' character. The Islamic educational philosophy has proven to significantly contribute to character development, personal integrity, and cultural resilience amidst globalization. Empirical data indicate a marked increase in student discipline, social responsibility, and religiosity in institutions applying this philosophical approach. Thus, Islamic educational philosophy is not only normatively relevant but also practically effective in fostering a value-based civilization.

Abstract

The internalisation of constructivism theory in the learning process highlights the main problems that are still often encountered in the world of education, namely the tendency of PAI teachers to position students as passive recipients of knowledge and conventional ways of learning. This research uses the literature study method by examining various scientific sources related to constructivism theory and its implementation in learning. The results showed that constructivism in PAI places students as active subjects who construct knowledge through experience and interaction, while the teacher acts as a facilitator who guides the critical and reflective thinking process. This approach has advantages in encouraging independence, creativity, and deeper understanding in students, but also faces challenges in the form of time requirements, teacher readiness, and limited resources in large classes. This research confirms the importance of applying constructivism to create meaningful learning that is relevant to learners' needs, while recommending the need for teacher training and adjustments to the learning environment so that this approach can be implemented optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia for the 2020–2024 period using horizontal analysis methods and financial ratios. Horizontal analysis is carried out on the balance sheet statement as well as comprehensive income and income statements, while financial ratio analysis refers to the provisions of Bank Indonesia through the CAMEL approach which focuses on capital, asset, earning, and liquidity aspects. The results showed that in terms of balance sheet, total assets and investments in securities experienced a significant increase, while current accounts, savings, deposits, third-party funds, liabilities, equity, and investments in net associated entities showed fluctuating developments. Horizontal analysis of the income statement shows unstable conditions, where the comprehensive profit for the current period increased only in 2022, while in 2021, 2023, and 2024 it actually decreased. Furthermore, the results of the financial ratio analysis show that Bank Muamalat has a capital adequacy ratio (CAR) which is in the very healthy category throughout the research period, as well as good asset quality with a controlled Non-Performing Financing (NPF) level. However, the bank's profitability is still low with a return on asset (ROA) ratio that is in the unhealthy category, as well as the BOPO efficiency ratio which is in the unhealthy category due to high operating expenses. On the other hand, the level of bank liquidity measured through the financing to deposit ratio (FDR) is in the very healthy category, although it shows indications of less than optimal financing distribution. Overall, Bank Muamalat Indonesia has major strengths in terms of capital and liquidity, but still faces serious challenges in increasing profitability and operational efficiency in order to maintain competitiveness in the Islamic banking industry.

Abstract

This study analyzes the policy of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesian public schools and universities within the framework of national education. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were collected from constitutional documents, educational regulations, academic works, and scholarly discussions. The findings show that PAI is not only a curricular requirement but also a strategic instrument for shaping moral character, strengthening national identity, and fostering religious moderation in a pluralistic society. Despite strong legal foundations, the implementation of PAI faces challenges from globalization, secularization, and the spread of radical content through digital media. However, opportunities also emerge through technological integration and innovative pedagogical approaches that can enhance inclusiveness, tolerance, and critical engagement. The study concludes that strengthening PAI policies requires adaptive curricula, digitally competent educators, and collaborative efforts among stakeholders to ensure that Islamic education contributes meaningfully to the development of a faithful, moderate, and socially responsible generation.
