Abstract

This article examines the compatibility between Article 23 of the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) Regulation No. 01 of 2020 on the distribution of waqf proceeds and the Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 112 on Waqf Accounting. Article 23 stipulates that net proceeds shall be allocated with a maximum of 10% for Nazhir, at least 50% for the Mauquf ‘Alaih, and the remainder for reserves. However, the regulation does not specify the accounting basis for calculating and reporting such net proceeds. In contrast, PSAK 112 provides a comprehensive framework for recognition, measurement, presentation, and disclosure of waqf assets, including the separation between waqf and non-waqf assets, as well as the preparation of statements of financial position, activities, cash flows, and notes. This study employs a normative juridical method with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches, supported by international literature on accountability in waqf management. The findings reveal a regulatory gap between BWI Regulation and PSAK 112, which risks undermining transparency and accountability. The study recommends regulatory harmonization with PSAK 112, capacity building for Nazhir in financial reporting, and the adoption of digital reporting systems based on standardized accounting practices to strengthen public trust and ensure sustainable waqf governance.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education hinges significantly on the leadership strategies of school principals, especially in the systematic development of teacher professional competence. This systematic review explores the strategic approaches employed by school principals to foster teacher professional competence and, consequently, improve educational quality. Employing a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA standards, this study synthesizes research published between 2020–2025, emphasizing frameworks such as TCCM and best practices in educational leadership. The findings reveal principal strategies that integrate instructional leadership, collaborative professional development, data-driven decision-making, inclusive school culture, and adaptive change management. Challenges persist, including resource constraints, varying teacher motivation, and policy-practice misalignments, but successful strategies hinge on collaborative environments, targeted professional development, continuous evaluation, and fostering a culture of innovation and resilience. The review provides robust theoretical and practical recommendations for policymakers, educational leaders, and practitioner communities seeking to elevate educational outcomes via strategic principal leadership in teacher competency development.

Abstract

Modern cell theory is the basis of biological understanding which states that cells are the structural and functional units of life, cell division underlies growth and reproduction, and each cell originates from the previous cell. This study aims to analyze the relevance of modern cell theory to the verses of the Qur'an regarding the creation of living things. The study was conducted in May - June 2025 at the Biology Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya using qualitative methods and a literature study approach. Data were collected through a search of cell biology literature and interpretation of Qur'anic verses regarding the creation of living things. Data analysis was carried out by content analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the concept of cells as structural and functional units of life is in line with QS Al-Anbiya' [21]:30 about water as the basis of life, the concept of cell division (mitosis and meiosis) is in line with QS Al-Mu'minun [23]:13-14 about embryonic development, the concept of differentiation and cell specialization is relevant to QS Al-Alaq [96]:2 about the creation of humans from 'alaqah, and the concept of Omnis cellula e cellula is in line with QS Az-Zariyat [51]:49 about the creation of pairs. The conclusion of this study shows the integration of science and Islam that mutually strengthen the understanding of cell biology and the value of faith. This study is expected to be the basis for the development of Cell Biology teaching materials based on the integration of science and Islam to improve scientific literacy and the religious character of students.

This research employs a qualitative approach using field research (field research). Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with PAI teachers, students, and school officials1. The implemented strategies include modeling good behavior (uswah hasanah), individual and group spiritual counseling, habituation of Qur'anic values, and cultivating empathy and compassion among students. The findings show that PAI teachers play a strategic role as moral and spiritual guides, utilizing the spiritual approach to foster inner moral consciousness (tazkiyah an-nafs) that bullying is a form of tyranny (zulm) that violates Islamic principles.
