Abstract

This article examines the compatibility between Article 23 of the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) Regulation No. 01 of 2020 on the distribution of waqf proceeds and the Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 112 on Waqf Accounting. Article 23 stipulates that net proceeds shall be allocated with a maximum of 10% for Nazhir, at least 50% for the Mauquf ‘Alaih, and the remainder for reserves. However, the regulation does not specify the accounting basis for calculating and reporting such net proceeds. In contrast, PSAK 112 provides a comprehensive framework for recognition, measurement, presentation, and disclosure of waqf assets, including the separation between waqf and non-waqf assets, as well as the preparation of statements of financial position, activities, cash flows, and notes. This study employs a normative juridical method with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches, supported by international literature on accountability in waqf management. The findings reveal a regulatory gap between BWI Regulation and PSAK 112, which risks undermining transparency and accountability. The study recommends regulatory harmonization with PSAK 112, capacity building for Nazhir in financial reporting, and the adoption of digital reporting systems based on standardized accounting practices to strengthen public trust and ensure sustainable waqf governance.

Abstract

Modern cell theory is the basis of biological understanding which states that cells are the structural and functional units of life, cell division underlies growth and reproduction, and each cell originates from the previous cell. This study aims to analyze the relevance of modern cell theory to the verses of the Qur'an regarding the creation of living things. The study was conducted in May - June 2025 at the Biology Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya using qualitative methods and a literature study approach. Data were collected through a search of cell biology literature and interpretation of Qur'anic verses regarding the creation of living things. Data analysis was carried out by content analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the concept of cells as structural and functional units of life is in line with QS Al-Anbiya' [21]:30 about water as the basis of life, the concept of cell division (mitosis and meiosis) is in line with QS Al-Mu'minun [23]:13-14 about embryonic development, the concept of differentiation and cell specialization is relevant to QS Al-Alaq [96]:2 about the creation of humans from 'alaqah, and the concept of Omnis cellula e cellula is in line with QS Az-Zariyat [51]:49 about the creation of pairs. The conclusion of this study shows the integration of science and Islam that mutually strengthen the understanding of cell biology and the value of faith. This study is expected to be the basis for the development of Cell Biology teaching materials based on the integration of science and Islam to improve scientific literacy and the religious character of students.

Abstract

The rampant occurrence of bullying behavior, specifically verbal teasing and social exclusion, at SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Utara causes severe psychological and social impacts on studentsThis issue is viewed as a moral and spiritual deviation contradicting Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers as spiritual counselors in preventing bullying and identify the application strategy of Islamic values in guiding students away from this behavior. This research employs a qualitative approach using field research (field research). Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with PAI teachers, students, and school officials1. The implemented strategies include modeling good behavior (uswah hasanah), individual and group spiritual counseling, habituation of Qur'anic values, and cultivating empathy and compassion among students. The findings show that PAI teachers play a strategic role as moral and spiritual guides, utilizing the spiritual approach to foster inner moral consciousness (tazkiyah an-nafs) that bullying is a form of tyranny (zulm) that violates Islamic principles. The study concludes that PAI teachers are essential spiritual counselors in creating a religious, empathetic, and bullying-free school environment. This approach offers a significant contribution to developing Islamic guidance and counseling

Abstract

Abstracts Technological developments in education have not been fully integrated optimally in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, resulting in a gap between the needs of 21st-century learning and learning practices that are still predominantly teacher-centered. This condition encourages the need for an in-depth study of how learning principles and theories of behaviorism and cognitivism can be used as a basis for designing effective technology-based PAI learning. This study aims to analyze the integration of these learning theories as a basis for developing a more comprehensive technology-based PAI learning model. The study uses a library research approach by reviewing journals, books, and relevant research results, which are analyzed through content analysis techniques to identify conceptual patterns, similarities, and theoretical contributions. The results show that learning principles such as subsumption, progressive differentiation, and integrative reconciliation can strengthen the structure of digital PAI materials; behaviorism theory plays a role in designing technological features that are reinforcement and form religious habits; while cognitivism theory supports the development of digital media that facilitate information processing and meaningful learning. The conclusion of the study confirms that the integration of these three theoretical foundations can produce a technology-based PAI learning model that is more interactive, adaptive, and pedagogical. This study contributes to the development of a technology-based PAI conceptual framework and recommends empirical testing of the model's effectiveness through further research.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of religious guidance through weekly recitations at the Nur Qolbu Sampit Mosque. The background of this study stems from the gap between the routine religious activities at the mosque and the limited depth of understanding and practice of Islamic teachings among the congregation. This study aims to analyze (1) the implementation of religious guidance through weekly recitations, and (2) the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through observation, interviews with ustadz, mosque administrators, and congregations, as well as documentation studies. The results show that regular recitations are conducted through lectures based on classical texts, discussions, and interactive question and answer sessions. These  activities  have  been  proven  to increase  the  congregation's understanding of aqidah, fiqh, and akhlak, as well as have a positive impact on their worship, social behavior, and spiritual condition. The main supporting factors include adequate facilities, the competence of the ustadz, and the strong commitment of the mosque administrators. Conversely, inhibiting factors are related to fluctuating congregational attendance and differences in prior knowledge  levels. This study  emphasizes  the importance  of mosques  as centers for continuous religious education and provides recommendations for improving the effectiveness of mosque-based learning programs.

Abstract

This research focuses on how judges use ijtihad in deciding divorce cases filed by wives in pregnant conditions. By using normative juridical methods and statutory, concept, and case study approaches, this research examines positive legal provisions, expert views, and related court decisions. The research results show that pregnancy cannot be used as a basis for rejecting a divorce suit. The judges use ijtihad to interpret legal rules, assess aspects of benefit, and provide protection for women in accordance with the principles of maqāṣid al-sharī'ah and the provisions in Supreme Court Regulation Number 3 of 2017. From the analysis, two patterns of judge's decisions were found: postponing the divorce until the wife gives birth or immediately granting the divorce if the continuation of the marriage is considered to endanger the wife or fetus. Thus, the judge's ijtihad becomes an important instrument in realizing more substantial justice and ensuring protection for pregnant women in divorce cases.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of justice in determining the margin of murabahah in Sharia People's Financing Banks (BPRS) using a normative approach to sharia economics. The focus of the research is directed at the conformity of the practice of determining margins with the principles of fiqh muamalah, maqashid al-sharia, as well as applicable regulations, especially the DSN-MUI Fatwa and OJK regulations. The results of the analysis show that although normatively the margin of murabhah should be based on cost of goods transparency, voluntary agreements, and information disclosure, practices in the field are still influenced by conventional benchmarks such as market interest rates and internal decisions of the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO). This situation has the potential to cause an identity crisis for Islamic financial institutions and weaken the principle of ridha bi al-taradhi. This study emphasizes the urgency of preparing national guidelines for determining margins based on maqashid al-sharia, the implementation of a more participatory negotiation mechanism between banks and customers, and increasing transparency through accountable written documents. Thus, this article contributes to strengthening the identity and legitimacy of Islamic banking while offering a normative framework as an alternative to pragmatic, market-oriented practices.

Abstract

This study explores the multidimensional meaning of La ilaha illallah (“There is no god but Allah”) through an analysis of its theological significance, linguistic structure, and pedagogical application within the discipline of English for Islamic Studies (EIS). Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on library research, the study synthesizes insights from classical tafsir, modern linguistic theory, and Islamic educational thought to uncover the epistemological and ethical dimensions of Tawhid. The findings reveal that La ilaha illallah functions simultaneously as a theological declaration, a linguistic construct, and an educational framework. Linguistically, it unites negation and affirmation to form a coherent structure of truth that mirrors divine logic. Theologically, it encapsulates the essence of Tawhid, defining the relationship between belief, knowledge, and moral responsibility. Pedagogically, it serves as a faith-based model for integrating theology into language learning, allowing students to engage critically and spiritually with English as a medium of understanding revelation. By introducing La ilaha illallah as an epistemological foundation for EIS, this study proposes that language instruction rooted in Tawhid can enhance students’ linguistic precision, intercultural competence, and spiritual consciousness. Ultimately, it redefines language learning as a sacred act of intellectual worship, bridging revelation and reason within the holistic framework of Islamic education.
