Abstract

Abstrak This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Self Directed Learning (SDL) Cooperative Setting learning model on the mathematical critical thinking abilities of students at SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. This research uses an experimental method with a One group pretest-posttest design. The research population was the entire class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, totaling 177 people. The research sample used cluster random sampling techniques, namely class XI MIA 3 with a total of 27 people. The research instruments were tests of critical thinking skills in mathematics and observation sheets of learning activities. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistics using the paired t-test. Based on descriptive analysis, it can be found (1) the average of using the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) Cooperative Setting learning model is 3.54 (very good category) and (2) the average of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities before using the learning model Self-Directed Learning (SDL) Cooperative Setting is 51.81 and after using the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) learning model Cooperative Setting is 85.56. Furthermore, based on inferential statistics using paired samples test, (SPSS version 26), the results show significant value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). This means that there is effectiveness in using the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) Cooperative Setting learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities in class XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEM-based cooperative learning model on students' critical thinking skills in mathematics at SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. This type of research is experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample obtained was 32 students taken using the Calster random sampling technique. Data collection uses observation, and tests of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities that have previously been validated. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and differential statistics. Based on descriptive analysis, the average score for implementing the STEM-based cooperative learning model is 3.5 (very good category), the average score for students' mathematical critical thinking abilities in spatial material before using the STEM-based cooperative learning model is 56.06 (category less) and the average score after using the STEM-based cooperative learning model is 95.66 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistics using the paired sample test (SPSS23), a significance value of 0.000 < 0.0 was obtained, so that the alternative hypothesis in this research could be accepted as true. This means that there is a very significant influence between the use of the STEM-based cooperative learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities at SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan where the average value of the N-gain index is 0.94 (high category).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of using GPT Chat on students' self-confidence and confidence in solving mathematics problems. This research is quantitative research using multiple regression tests. Before the regression test is carried out, prerequisite tests are first carried out in the form of normality tests and linearity tests. This research was carried out at the Ahmad Dahlan Islamic University where the population was all students of the Tadris Mathematics Study Program. The sample in this study consisted of 20 people who were chosen randomly using a simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of Chat GPT has a positive and significant influence on students' self-confidence and confidence in solving mathematical problems. These results are supported by social cognitive theory, which states that interaction with technology such as Chat GPT can increase self-confidence through modeling, positive feedback, and increased self-efficacy. In addition, educational technology theory emphasizes that the use of technology in learning supports a constructivist approach, creates personalized learning experiences, and develops critical skills. Overall, the results of this analysis provide an in-depth understanding of how the use of Chat GPT can increase students' self-confidence and confidence in solving mathematical problems, as well as supporting theoretical implications from the perspective of social cognitive psychology and educational technology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar himpunan dengan model pembelajaran problem posing tipe pre solution unuk membelajarkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP dan mengetahui kualitas buku ajar dilihat dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket, dan tes. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan memberikan hasil kevalidan produk dengan rata-rata persentase 85,8% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, kepraktisan produk dengan rata-rata persentase 93% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis” dan keefektifan produk dengan rata-rata persentase 81 dengan kategori “Sangat Efektif”. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa, buku ajar dengan model pembelajaran problem posing tipe pre solution untuk membelajarkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dikembangkan menggunakan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE, kemampuan bermatematika siswa SMP layak dan baik diterapkan membelajarkan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif script terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di Kelas XI MAS Hajijah Amalia Sari.sample penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan tekhnik simple random sampling yaitu kelas XI MAS Hajijah Amaia Sari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis one group pretest posttest design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan keterampilan guru dengan menggunakan instrument tes berupa pretest dan posttest untuk siswa. Kemudian data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan statistic deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) nilai rata-rata penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif script adalah 3,7 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. 2) nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sebelum penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif script adalah 67,14 dengan kategori “kurang” dan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif script adalah 84,14 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. 3) berdasarkan statistic inferensial dengan menggunakan paired samples test (SPSS 22) diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari taraf nyata alpha 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Artinya penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif script efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi guru matematika dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif script dalam memecahkan masalah pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Kesalahan yang biasa dilakukan oleh siswa sering terjadi dalam pembelajaran yang ada di sekolah seperti saat menyelesaikan sebuah permasalahan khususnya pada materi statistika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesalahan siswa SMP kelas VIII pada materi Statistika. Sampell yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Purwokerto berjumlah 5 orang siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ini menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan yang siswa antara lain : siswa tidak menuliskan informasiyang diketahui dalam soal dan tidak menulis ulang permasalahan yang ada pada soal, siswa tidak menuliskan rumus untuk menjawab soal, siswa tidak menyelesaikan masalah dengan menggunakan tahap-tahap yang lengkap, serta terkadang siswa hanya menuliskan hasil akhir dai jawaban tanpa menuliskan kesimpulan.

Abstract

His research aims to determine students' literacy abilities in terms of mathematical reasoning at SMA Negeri 10 Semarang. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with test instruments and interviews. The sample population in this research is all students in class X-11 of SMA Negeri 10 Semarang. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on data analysis, it was found that: Students with high mathematical abilities on average carry out the literacy process so that they can understand problems, practice concepts, solve problems, and connect problems with each other, in the reasoning process so that they can analyze conjectures, plan processes, solve problems, and draw conclusions. Furthermore, students who have moderate mathematical abilities can only carry out the literacy process to understand problems and solve problems. These students can only carry out the reasoning process until they reach a guess and do not determine generalizations correctly. Finally, students who have low mathematical abilities on average have literacy skills only to understand the problem and cannot put concepts into practice and students in reasoning only to determine initial guesses and they find it difficult to convey the results of their answers during interviews.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study literature related to differences in mathematical communication skills of high school students based on gender. The study uses the method of Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which is carried out through the process of identification, evaluation, and interpretation of all available research evidence with the object of the research is student mathematics communication skills and Gender. Design used is to summarize, review, and analyze 9 articles that are highly relevant to the subject of the study. The article used is an article in a journal accredited by Sinta. The results of this Systematic Literatur Review show that there is a difference in the ability to communicate mathematically between male and female students. Differences in mathematical communication skills between male and female students can be caused by a variety of factors, such as biological, social, and cultural factors. The way students process and understand mathematics can be influenced by biological factors, like differences in brain structures.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan model pembelajaran flipped classroom lebih baik dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan model konvensional, untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada kemampuan numerik tingkat tinggi, sedang dan rendah, serta apakah terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran dan kemampuan numerik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Karanggayam. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Kelas yang digunakan sebagai sampel adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi dan tes. Dokumentasi dilakukan untuk mengambil nilai yang digunakan untuk analisis awal yaitu uji normalitas sebelum perlakuan, uji homogenitas sebelum perlakuan, dan uji keseimbangan. Tes dilakukan untuk memperoleh data yang digunakan untuk uji lanjutan, yaitu uji normalitas setelah perlakuan, uji homogenitas setelah perlakuan dan uji anava dua jalan dengan sel tak sama.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kemampuan penyelesaian masalah yang dikenai model pembelajaran flipped classroom lebih baik dari model pembelajaran konvensional, terdapat perbedaan emampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada kemampuan numerik tingkat tinggi, sedang dan rendah, serta tidak terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran dan kemampuan numerik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matem

Abstract

In essence, mathematics originates from the skills involved in various activities within a cultural environment that grows and evolves in society. Therefore, mathematics is influenced by the cultural background of its surroundings. Ethnomathematics is a dynamic representation that can depict the influence of culture on the application of mathematics. Through ethnomathematics, researchers will examine and analyze kerawang gayo as a cultural study of the Gayo Lues highland community in Aceh, relating it to mathematics. This research aims to analyze the mathematical aspects of the kerawang gayo motifs, which are often used in traditional attire, including clothing, scarves, and hats that feature kerawang gayo designs. Based on the identification results, three of the six aspects of ethnomathematics were found, namely aspects of calculation, measurement, and explanation. Additionally, the relationship between ethnomathematics and the kerawang gayo motifs was found to be a potential source for learning mathematics, particularly in the topics of solid geometry, area, and perimeter of plane figures.
