Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran Ludo Smart Math (LSM) untuk membelajarkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di MTS S Hajijah Amalia Sari Batunadua dan mengetahui kualitas media pembelajaran Ludo Smart Math dilihat dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas VII-A MTS S Hajijah Amalia Sari Batunadua. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan diantaranya 1) lembar angket berupa angket validasi oleh ahli untuk melihat kevalidan produk yang dikembangkan, dan 2) angket respon siswa untuk mengetahui kepraktisan produk yang dikembangkan. Validasi dilakukan oleh 3 ahli yaitu ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli Bahasa dab kemudian di ujicobakan berdasarkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil kevalidan produk dengan rata-rata persentase 83% dalam kategori “Sangat Valid”, kepraktisan produk dengan rata-rata 85,77% dalam kategori “Sangat Praktis” dan keefektifan dengan rata-rata 83% dalam kategori “Sangat Ffektif”.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of mathematics learning using a problem posing approach on students' critical mathematical thinking abilities in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 10 Padangsidimpuan. This research was conducted using an experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with a sample of 21 students and taken using a simple random sampling technique. Observations and tests are used in data collection. Based on the descriptive analysis, it was found that (a) the average use of the approach problem posing was 2.95 (good category) and (b) the average students' mathematical critical thinking ability before using the approach problem posing was 39.81 (failed) and after using the approach problem posing it was 39.41 (failed). 83.86 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistics using the t test (SPSS 26) and N-Gain, the results showed a significant value of less than 0.05 (0.001<0.05) and g = 0.79 (high category). This means that the problem posing approach is very effectively used for students' critical mathematical thingking at SMP Negeri 10 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Pendekatan Pembelajaran Resource Based learning menekankan penggunaan berbagai sumber belajar untuk melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, dengan tujuan utama mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Pendekatan ini mendorong siswa untuk mengeksplorasi dan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber pembelajaran untuk menemukan solusi atas masalah yang mereka hadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efektivitas pendekatan pembelajaran Resource Based Learnng terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak, dimana dalam design ini pertama diberikan suatu pretest baru diberikan perlakuan sehingga dengan design ini hasil akan lebih akurat. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pemecahan masalah yang dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator kompetensi yang relevandengan kurikulum. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan Resource Based Learningdibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa Resource Based Learning dapat menjadi pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pendekatan Resource Based Learning dalam konteks pembelajaran di sekolah untuk mendukung pengembangan keterampilan siswa secara holistik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan.sample penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan tekhnik simple random sampling yaitu kelas VIII-2 SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis one group pretest posttest design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan keterampilan guru dengan menggunakan instrument tes berupa pretest dan posttest untuk siswa. Kemudian data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan statistic deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) di kelas VIII-2 SMP N 9 Padangsidimpuan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,2. Maka nilai tersebut berada pada kategori “sangat baik”.Gambaran kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di kelas VIII-2 SMP N 9 Padangsidimpuan sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 54 berada pada kategori “kurang”, dan nilai tes akhir (posttest) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 81 berada pada kategori “sangat baik”.Penggunaan model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di kelas VIII-2 SMP N 9 Padangsidimpuan dapat dilihat dari lembar observasi sebesar 3,2 berada pada kategori “sangat baik”

Abstract

This research aims to map learning trajectories and analyze the effectiveness of using learning media in improving students' understanding of material derived from algebraic functions in class XII SMAN 12 Medan. Considering students' difficulties in understanding abstract concepts, this research develops a learning trajectory by involving various learning media, such as PowerPoint presentations, animated videos, manual teaching aids, namely the Derivative Wheel, digital teaching aids, namely GeoGebra, and LKPD as a means of driving student activity. This research focuses on developing realistic and contextual learning methods. This research reveals that the use of a combination of diverse educational media can help students understand the concept of abstract and complex derivatives of algebraic functions, as well as increase student participation in the learning process. This research emphasizes the importance of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to creating contextual and relevant learning, as well as providing recommendations for teachers to continue developing innovative learning methods.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze mathematical reasoning abilities in solving mathematics problems of junior high school students. This research uses a qualitative description method. The technique for taking subjects is purposive sampling which takes subjects based on certain conditions. The research subjects were 6 students in class VIII of MIBS Middle School in Kebumen. The data collection techniques used were tests, interviews and documentation. The instruments used were mathematical reasoning ability test questions and interviews. The results of this research show that: (1) The mathematical reasoning abilities of students with high mathematical abilities meet the indicators of presenting mathematical statements orally, in writing, in pictures, diagrams and tables, estimating answers and solution processes, calculating rules using certain formulas, and drawing conclusions or generalize; (2) The mathematical reasoning abilities of students with moderate mathematical abilities meet the indicators of presenting mathematical statements orally, in writing, in pictures, diagrams and tables, estimating answers and solution processes, and drawing conclusions or making generalizations; (3) The mathematical reasoning abilities of students with low mathematical abilities do not meet the indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan permainan edukasi berbasis RPG Maker MZ dalam menyampaikan konsep dasar kriptografi sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Permainan ini menggabungkan alur cerita menarik dan teka-teki kriptografi untuk membantu pemain memahami konsep kriptografi. Permainan edukasi yang dikembangkan berhasil menggabungkan alur cerita menarik dan tantangan kriptografi dengan cara yang lebih interaktif dan mudah. Evaluasi internal memastikan bahwa permainan berjalan sesuai rancangan, baik dari segi desain, mekanisme permainan, maupun penyampaian materi edukasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan RPG Maker MZ sebagai platform alternatif dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif dan menarik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the average mathematical thinking ability of students taught by the PBL learning model assisted by an ethnolinear e-module based on ethnomathematics with the direct learning model. The research method used is quantitative, with a quasi-experimental design research form. The study was conducted at SMPN 2 Bae. The population of this study was 246 students. Sampling was carried out using random sampling techniques, namely classes VIII A and VIII D. Data collection techniques with mathematical thinking ability tests. Data analysis techniques using normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain tests, and Mann-Whitney tests. Based on the results of the posttest of mathematical thinking skills, it was found that the average value of the mathematical thinking skills of students in the experimental class who were given treatment using the PBL model assisted by ethnolinear e-modules based on ethnomathematics was 63.71, higher than that of students in the control class who were given treatment using the direct learning model of 46.31, so it can be concluded that the average mathematical thinking skills of students who were taught the PBL learning model assisted by the Ethnolinear e-module were better than those taught the direct learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze trends in commognitive research in mathematics education, focusing on four main components: word use, mediators, rules, and narratives. Additionally, this study seeks to explore how commognitive theory is applied in mathematics education research and to identify research gaps that can be further developed. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), with article searches conducted through the Google Scholar, SINTA, and Scopus databases within the 2015–2025 timeframe. Articles were selected based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in the final analysis of five relevant articles. Each article was classified based on research methods, key findings, and contributions to commognitive theory in mathematics education. The findings indicate that visual mediators and routines are the most frequently studied commognitive components, particularly in the context of technology use and touchscreen interaction in mathematics learning. Additionally, commognitive conflicts were commonly observed in the transition from school to university, particularly in students' understanding of mathematical terminology (word use) and the application of mathematical communication rules (rules). The primary finding of this study reveals that students with higher mathematical understanding tend to construct more argumentative mathematical narratives, while students with lower comprehension tend to rely on mechanical procedures without fully grasping the underlying concepts. For future research, further exploration of word use and narratives is recommended, particularly in the context of elementary and secondary school education.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes by applying the puzzle-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in grade 5 Mathematics learning. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this research were grade 5 students at SDN 1 Jemowo. Data collection techniques use pretest and posttest essay tests by integrating critical thinking skills. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results of this research show an increase in critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of grade 5 students at SDN 1 Jemowo after implementing the puzzle-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This is proven by an increase in students' critical thinking skills, namely in the first cycle pretest the average critical thinking skills of students was only 50.67. Furthermore, there was an increase in the first cycle posttest to 70.61. In the second cycle pretest, the average critical thinking skills of students was only 56.21, again increasing in the second cycle posttest to 75.66. Apart from that, student learning outcomes also increased from the first cycle pretest, the average student learning outcomes were only 58.24 to 73.59 in the first cycle posttest. The average student learning outcomes increased again from the second cycle pretest, 68.07 to 82.45 in the second cycle posttest. The students' learning completeness in the first cycle posttest results increased to 11 students (57.90%) completed and 8 students (42.10%) did not complete. Then, in the second cycle posttest, learning completion increased again to 18 students (94.74%) completed and 1 student (5.26%) did not complete.
