Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of public ownership, managerial ownership, firm size, and board gender diversity on firm value in banking sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2023 period. The research method used is quantitative with a causality approach. The population of this study consists of all banking sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2021 to 2023, totaling 47 companies. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, with specific criteria resulting in a sample of 23 companies. The data analysis technique employed in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that public ownership has no significant effect on firm value, managerial ownership has no significant effect on firm value, and board gender diversity has no significant effect on firm value. In contrast, firm size has a significant negative influence on firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the differences in companies' financial performance before and after mergers and acquisitions. The assessment of financial performance was carried out using several financial ratios, including current ratio, debt to equity ratio, return on equity, return on assets, and net profit margin. The population of this study includes all energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) that engaged in mergers and acquisitions during the 2021–2023 period. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 9 companies that met the criteria. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test with the help of SPSS version 21. The results indicate that there were no significant differences in the CR, DER, ROE, and ROA ratios before and after the mergers and acquisitions. However, the NPM ratio showed a significant difference between one year before and one year after the merger and acquisition activities

Abstract

The focus of this research is to create a conceptual framework that can be used to explain how leaders can promote a better work culture within the company. The main focus of the research is on how leadership styles, organizational culture, and employee motivation relate to each other and how these factors impact performance. Transactional leadership tends to be better at maintaining discipline and structure, but it is less effective in fostering long-term innovation. On the other hand, transformational and servant leadership styles have been proven to enhance employee engagement, motivation, and creativity. To create a positive work environment, there needs to be a supportive work culture, such as open communication, employee empowerment, and recognition of their work. The results show that an inclusive leadership style must be integrated with a strong organizational culture to enhance employee motivation, engagement, and performance. This study contributes to the development of leadership theory and practice in dynamic contemporary organizations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena terdapat pegawai yang kurang memahami pekerjaannya dikarenakan kurang memahami akan job description-nya serta penempatan yang tidak sesuai dengan minat dan kompetensi pegawai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi pengaruh job description dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas I Banjarmasin secara parsial dan simultan. Dengan kuesioner sebagai data primer, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini seluruh populasi yaitu seluruh pegawai Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas I Banjarmasin sebanyak 96 orang. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji instrument uji asumsi klasik, dan analisis regresi linier berganda menggunakan SPSS versi 23. Hasil uji pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa job description dan kompetensi berpengaruh secara parsial juga simultan terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas I Banjarmasin. Kebaruan dalam penelitian ini terletak pada analisis spesifik pengaruh job description dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas I Banjarmasin, yang masih minim dibahas dalam konteks kepelabuhanan.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of leverage on firm value with profitability as an intervening variable during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research adopts an associative quantitative approach using Smartpls software for path analysis. Leverage is measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), firm value by Price to Book Value (PBV), and profitability by Return on Equity (ROE). A total of 10 transportation companies were selected through purposive sampling, covering the period from 2019 to 2023. The results reveal that leverage has a positive and significant effect on both firm value and profitability. However, profitability does not significantly affect firm value and fails to mediate the relationship between leverage and firm value. These findings suggest that during crisis periods, particularly under government-imposed social restrictions (PSBB), investors prioritize financial structure over short-term earnings. This implies a strategic shift in managerial and investor focus from profitability to capital resilience. The study recommends that transportation firms adopt adaptive leverage strategies, and that policymakers provide fiscal support—such as credit relaxation and tax incentives—to help the sector manage financial risks and sustain firm value in times of economic uncertainty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran self-efficacy sebagai variabel intervening pada hubungan antara workplace training dan pengembangan profesional terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Tanjung Selatan Makmur Jaya. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh karyawan yang berjumlah 253 orang, dengan jumlah sampel 155 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Metode analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa workplace training berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap self-efficacy dan kinerja karyawan. Pengembangan profesional juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap self-efficacy dan kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, self-efficacy terbukti berperan sebagai variabel intervening yang memperkuat pengaruh workplace training dan pengembangan profesional terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dengan demikian, peningkatan kualitas pelatihan di tempat kerja dan program pengembangan profesional yang terencana dapat mendorong peningkatan keyakinan diri karyawan, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada kinerja yang lebih optimal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi manajemen PT. Tanjung Selatan Makmur Jaya untuk lebih memfokuskan strategi pengembangan sumber daya manusia pada peningkatan pelatihan berbasis pekerjaan dan program pengembangan profesional yang mendukung efikasi diri karyawan.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, higher education institutions play a vital role as one of the providers of human resources who can adapt and are competent for the needs of the global job market. To meet the demands of the global workforce today, students need not only theoretical or hard skills but also a balanced development of soft skills, one of which can be achieved through student organizations. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of transformational leadership, shared leadership, and membership stability on team creativity through team resiliency. This study aims to explain how team resiliency mediates the relationship between these three variables and team creativity. The research method used in this study is quantitative, with a sample of 205 members of the student organization at BINUS Malang campus. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire, and data analysis was conducted using SEM PLS 3.0. The analysis results show that the direct influence of these three variables has a significant impact on team resiliency, and among the three variables, only transformational leadership does not have a significant direct impact on team creativity. Additionally, the indirect relationship between shared leadership and membership stability on team creativity through team resiliency is significant, while the indirect relationship between transformational leadership and team creativity through team resiliency is not significant. This indicates that the transformational leadership style, which focuses on providing inspiration. Motivating and directing its members has not yet been well received to enhance the creativity of the organization's members and improve team creativity within the organization. These findings are expected to contribute to the chairperson of the BINUS Malang student organization in developing an effective leadership style in fulfilling their role as the chairperson and achieving the organization's goals together

Abstract

This study examines the impact of soft skills, fieldwork practices or internship (PKL), and digitalization on work motivation and job readiness among students in Malang, addressing the challenges of competency gaps in the global labor market. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected via questionnaires from 260 students with experience in PKL or soft skills training. The results reveal that soft skills significantly enhance work motivation and job readiness directly, while work motivation is shown to be a primary driver of job readiness. Although PKL and soft skills positively influence the enhancement of digital competencies, this digital transformation does not have a direct impact on job readiness. PKL contributes to strengthening digitalization but does not directly affect motivation or job readiness. Key findings highlight the highly effective mediating role of work motivation in transforming soft skills into job readiness, whereas mediation through digitalization is not significant. This indicates that the development of soft skills and strategies to enhance work motivation are more crucial for job readiness than isolated interventions of digitalization or PKL. Consequently, higher education institutions need to design curricula that integrate continuous soft skills training, strengthen motivational mentoring programs, and optimize fieldwork practices with an emphasis on professional attitude development. This research provides important contributions to the development of human resource management theory and higher education practices in preparing adaptive graduates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, pengawasan, dan disiplin kerja terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai di Satpol PP Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif dengan sumber data primer. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang disebarkan kepada 50 pegawai ASN Satpol PP Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS melalui uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi (R²). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai. Sedangkan, pengawasan dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas kerja pegawai tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh satu faktor saja, melainkan merupakan hasil dari interaksi antara kepemimpinan yang baik, pengawasan yang efektif, serta tingkat disiplin kerja yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, organisasi harus memperhatikan ketiga aspek ini secara bersamaan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kerja pegawai secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of business motivation, entrepreneurial skills, and entrepreneurial knowledge in enhancing the business success of the muslimah barefoot entrepreneurs, MSMEs in Banjarmasin City. This research employs a quantitative method, which is a research method based on the positivist philosophy. It is used to study a specific population or sample, utilizes research instruments to collect data, involves quantitative/statistical data analysis, and aims to test predetermined hypotheses. This study uses a quantitative method with the variables of business motivation, entrepreneurial skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and Business Success. The population of this research consists of all owners or managers of Barefoot Entrepreneur culinary businesses in Banjarmasin City. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, with a sample size of 43 respondents. Data were processed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of this study prove that: (1) Business motivation has a positive and significant effect on the business success of the muslimah barefoot entrepreneur MSMEs in Banjarmasin City; (2) Entrepreneurial skills have a positive and significant effect on the business success of the muslimah barefoot entrepreneur MSMEs in Banjarmasin City; and (3) Entrepreneurial knowledge has a positive and significant effect on the business success of the muslimah barefoot entrepreneurs, MSMEs in Banjarmasin City
