Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in class III science subjects at SD Negeri 115/IX Niaso . This research is classroom action research which was carried out in two cycles with each cycle consisting of three meetings from the aspects of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were class III students at SD Negeri 115/IX Niaso in science subject in academic year 2021/2022, there were 27 students, consisting of 14 male students and 13 female students. Data collection techniques were carried out using (post-test), observation sheets and documentation. The analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data through observations during the learning process such as observation sheets, teacher and student activities, and quantitative data through learning outcome tests. The results of this research show that student learning outcomes in cycle I were 51.85%. In cycle II there was an increase of 77.7% and had achieved 70% learning completeness at the end of the cycle. So it can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method can improve learning outcomes for students in class III science subjects at SD Negeri 115/IX Niaso .

Abstract

The problems in this study are related to the difficulty of students in working on tests, learning that is still conventional, the lack of active students in learning and the inability of students to draw conclusions from the material being studied. One of the learning models that can activate students is the inside outside circle (IOC) learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in history learning outcomes using the inside outside circle (IOC) learning model in class X FM 3 SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of 2 cycles where each cycle is held in four meetings. Research procedures include planning, implementation of action, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were 38 students of class X FM 3 of SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques, namely quantitative and qualitative data. The results showed that in the first cycle, the percentage of completeness was 63.16% with an average score of 71.68. Then in cycle II there was a very significant increase where the percentage of completeness was 86.84% with an average score of 78.11. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of the inside outside circle (IOC) learning model can improve the history learning outcomes of class X FM 3 students of SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the effectiveness of reading comprehension skills based on the differentiated learning methods of complex instruction and CIRC models in fourth grade elementary school students, as well as to determine the higher level of effectiveness between differentiated learning of Complex instruction and CIRC models on reading comprehension abilities in elementary school students. Class IV. This experimental research uses the Non Equivalent Control Group Design design which will use two classes as research subjects, namely the control class and the experimental class. The results showed that when teaching using differentiation was used for fourth grade elementary school students, the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) model and the Complex Instruction model provided diverse learning outcomes for students. The experimental class (SD Negeri Suruh 01 Class IV A) got an average score of 97.25 on the post test, compared to the average score of the control class (SD Negeri Suruh 01 Class IV B) which was only 79.35. In the experimental class, students were more involved in group discussions and were better prepared in communicating the results of group work, whereas in the control class, there were still some students who refused to work together in completing assignments given by the teacher. The difference in the application of the learning model to learning outcomes is based on the behavior targeted at students when working in groups. The experimental class, seen from the grades and completeness achieved by each student, has a greater value than the control class.

Abstract

Abstract: Based on observations of the Merchandise Arrangement learning of students at SMK N5 Muaro Jambi, especially Class Therefore, researchers propose a method to make it easier for students to understand the material and practice the material. The method that can be used is Project Based Learning. The aim of this research is to analyze the use of the Project Based Learning learning model in creating student creativity on the subject of Product Classification. This research is classroom action research. The population in this research is all Class XI Marketing students, totaling 37 respondents. The method used is the documentation method, test method and observation sheet. The results of data analysis show that students' abilities after receiving cycle 1 and cycle 2 experienced increased changes. There were 80.3% of students who experienced an increase in their grades. The error that occurs to students is the technique of arranging items according to item classification. For this reason, it is better for teachers to emphasize more deeply the techniques for classifying products.

Abstract

Self-efficacy is a form of individual belief in himself in carrying out an action. Individual confidence is needed by patients undergoing TB treatment to achieve successful self-care. Compliance with taking TB medication is very necessary in completing treatment for 6 months. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and medication adherence in tuberculosis patients in Jambi City. This study used a quantitative method and a sectional approach using a total sampling of 48 people. The results of this study showed that 22 tuberculosis patients had high self-efficacy (45.8%) and 26 people (54.2%) had low efficacy. While the level of adherence to taking medication was high for 18 people (37.5%), 18 people (37.5%) had moderate adherence and low adherence was 12 people (25%). The results of the Spearman Rho statistical test obtained a p-value = 0.005 (p <0.05) and r = 0.396, meaning that there is a moderate positive relationship between self-efficacy and adherence to taking medication in tuberculosis patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center, Jambi City. Self-efficacy and medication adherence in tuberculosis patients are still relatively high. Self-efficacy has a low relationship and affects the level of adherence to taking medication in tuberculosis patients. It is hoped that this research can be an evaluation and source of information for the Putri Ayu Health Center, Nursing Education and Profession and further research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the value of character education contained in Jambi folklore and its relevance to learning Indonesian in junior high schools. This research is in the form of qualitative descriptive. The data of this study is the value of character education in twelve Jambi folk tales and the data source is the bilingual Jambi Folklore book with twelve story titles, namely 1) Black Water and Clear Water, 2) Swearing Stone, 3) Buffalo Stone, 4) Likat Lake, 5) Datuk Blood Putih, 6) Datuk Kerungkung Bebulu, 7) Dideng Dang Ayu, 8) Girls with Long Hair, 9) Lubuk Bujang Girls, 10) Smooth People, 11) Rice as Big as a Coconut, 12) Tama Tujeuh. The findings from this study include: there are five aspects of character education proclaimed by the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and integrity and Jambi folklore is relevant to learning Indonesian in junior high school because it can be used as teaching material.

Abstract

Interest in reading literature reflects students' interest in literary works, including short stories, which can influence their motivation and dedication in understanding and producing literary works. Mastery of short story concepts refers to students' in-depth understanding of short story elements such as character, plot, setting, theme and language style. The aims of this research are: (1) the large contribution of interest in reading literature to students' short story writing skills, (2) the large contribution of mastery of short story concepts to students' short story writing skills, and (3) the large contribution of interest in reading literature and mastery of short story concepts to writing skills short story by class X students of SMK N 1 Tanah Datar. This research uses quantitative methods involving students from various levels of education. Data regarding interest in reading literature is measured through questionnaires and test results regarding mastery of short story concepts from short story analysis given to students. Next, short story writing skills are measured through a writing test. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment (PPM) correlation test, multiple correlation test, t test, F test, and the determinant coefficient formula to determine the contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable, both individually and together. Research results shows that a high interest in reading literature contributes to better mastery of short story concepts. Students who have a high interest in reading literature tend to be more enthusiastic about short stories, identify short story elements better, and understand the concept and purpose of short story writing. Apart from that, good mastery of short story concepts also has a positive effect on students' short story writing skills. Students who have a strong understanding of the elements of short stories have a better ability to design interesting plots, develop in-depth characters, and compose short stories with good cohesion and coherence.

Abstract

This study aims to test and find out whether or not there is an influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in writing exposition texts in class VIII students of SMPN 15 Jambi City. The data in this study were collected by observation, interviews and tests. This type of research is a pre-experimental design research in the form of a one group research group pre-test post-test design. The form of the method used in this study is a quantitative approach. Before the data is analyzed, the normality and homogeneity of the data are tested first as a prerequisite test. Testing the normality of the data using the Shapiro-Wilks using the SPSS 26 application program. The data homogeneity test was carried out using the Levene Statistic formula in the SPSS 26 program with a sig value > 0.05. The t test for pretest and posttest data also used SPSS 26. Based on the results of the data normality test using the SPSS 26 application program, a significance value of > 0.05 was obtained, so we can conclude that the data is normally distributed. Then on the homogeneity test results obtained a significance value of 0.91> 0.05, then the data is homogeneous. Based on the results of the t test on pretest and posttest data, it is less than 0.05. It is known that the Sig. (2.tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the results of the students' ability to write exposition texts at the pretest and posttest stages. If seen based on the N-gain test, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest values where the pretest value is 55 and the posttest is 81 with an average value of 0.60 which is included in the medium category. based on the results of data analysis, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has an effect on learning to write exposition texts

Abstract

This study focuses on translation analysis of the use of bilingual teacher talk in teaching TEYL (Teaching English for Young Learners) in Sepama Cambodian classrooms. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the students as teachers in the Sepama class used 8 translation techniques based on theories from Molina and Albirr. The results of the analysis were obtained based on the processing of 35 data obtained from online learning videos. The literal translation technique was applied to 9 data or 25.71%. Amplification technique as much as 2 data or 5.71%. Variation technique 1 data (2.85%), Typical matching technique 2 data or 5.71%. While the reduction technique has 9 data (25.71%). Transposition and particulate techniques each have 3 data or 8.57%. and finally Modulation technique as much as 4 data or 11.43%. The reduction technique is widely used because the structure of BSa is simpler than BSu. While literal techniques are also often used because teachers must immediately convey BSa and BSu immediately respectively.

Abstract

There are many problems from students related to physics concepts, this is because students are dependent on phones which makes students inattentive to dig up information about Learning, the learning process can be concluded less interest, attention, and less attractive to students' because there is no learning media which can attract students to be interested in the material presented. Therefore necessary to create innovation in learning process so students can re-express the concepts they have learned and able to apply it, one of them is implementing a project-based learning model using global warming simulations. This thesis aims to enhance student learning outcomes using project-based learning models, find student responses, and implement project-based learning models.  This thesis use quantitative experiment method where design of research is nonequivalent group design. Data collection techniques Use methods of documentation, observation, questionnaires, and test questions. The results show that: 1) Implementation of project based learning models using global warming simulations can improve students' soft skills and psychomotor abilities; 2) Project based learning model using global warming simulation improves learning outcomes seen in The experimental class has a mean of 88.31, the control class has a mean of 74, and the n-gain score of the experimental class is 80.62%, meaning they are in the valid categories; 3) Implementation of project based learning models using global warming simulations got a satisfactory response, as many as 6 students (18.75%) gave a good response, 20 students (65.62%) gave a satisfactory response, 5 students (15 .62%) gave a less than satisfactory response.
