Abstract

Application of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model in science subject for fifth grade students of SDN 060/XI Pendung Hiang, where this Guided Inquiry Learning Model is a learning model that is structured based on constructivist theory which emphasizes student activity, independence and the development of intensive team learning. This research is a class action research (Classroom Action Research), which consists of four components in each cycle, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection, carried out to find out whether the application of the Learning Model Guided Inquiry, the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 060/XI Pendung Hiang can be increased. The subjects in this study were 16 students of class V SDN 060/XI Pendung Hiang. To collect data, the authors use tests in each cycle and observation sheets. As for the data analysis technique, namely with descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. Qualitative descriptive is used in analyzing observational or observational data, while quantitative descriptive is used to provide an overview or draw conclusions based on the results of learning tests conducted in each cycle. From the results of this study, it was obtained that the percentage of observations of student activity in the first cycle was 56.25%, and 87,5% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes also increased from cycle I 62,5%, increasing to 81% in cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the guided inquiry learning model to science lessons can increase student activity in class V SDN 060/XI Pendung Hiang. The results of the analysis of student learning outcomes in each cycle showed that the ability level of fifth grade students at SDN 060/XI Pendung Hiang had increased, this was seen after the application of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model, seen in cycle I the average student score was 71 and in cycle II the average is 81. This shows that science learning outcomes increase after the application of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of parents' democratic parenting in motivating student learning in PAI learning. Democratic parenting style emphasizes giving intensive attention to children by respecting the child's freedom but also accompanied by supervision from parents. This research is a type of qualitative research, the method used is a literature study (library rearch) by reviewing books and various trusted sources such as reputable journals and scientific papers. To obtain in-depth data the researcher then reads, examines and analyzes from various sources that are relevant to what the researcher is studying. The results of this study indicate that parents' democratic parenting style can encourage children to become independent individuals and also have high learning motivation. This is because children with good care from parents receive intensive attention and space is opened for them to express opinions. Parents also accustom children to study discipline, independence, and obedience to worship to be able to provide a role for children, especially in learning motivation.

Abstract

This study describes the value of character education contained in the book folklore from Jambi , “Cerita Rakyat dari Jambi” and describes its relevance to learning Indonesian in junior high school. This research is in the form of a qualitative descriptive. The data of this research are the values of character education in folklore and the data source is the book Folklore with stories 1) Asal Usul Raja Negeri Jambi, 2) Asal Mula Nama Sungai Batanghari, 3) Dongeng Hantu Pirau, 4) Legenda Bujang Jambi, 5) Datuk  Darah Putih, 6) Dongeng Si Kelingking, 7) Depati Sebelas, 8) Putri Tangguk. Data collection techniques using literature study. The results of this study indicate that. There are 16 character education including religious, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, nationality, loving the homeland, respect achievement, love of  peace, care of environment, social care, and responsibility. The relevance is that it is appropriate to use Indonesian language learning in Basic Competence (KD) 3.15 to identify information about local fables/legends that are read and heard. There is a match between the existing stories and the Basic Competencies used in the 2013 curriculum for class VII Junior High School in instilling character education values.

Abstract

Analysis of Code Switching and Code Mixing in the Novel Dreams of the Bungsu by Vanny Chrisma W Study: Sociolinguistics. Vanny Chrisma W or Fani Krismawati, born on December 4, 1983 in Sidoarjo, East Java, is the fourth of five children. Vanny Chrisma W once studied at STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Reading books is his hobby in order to increase knowledge and insight. The purpose of this study is to describe the linguistic phenomena that occur in the Dream Bungsu novel by Vanny Chrisma W, namely: (1) the form of code switching and (2) the form of code mixing. This research can be classified as a qualitative descriptive study with the research sample in the form of conversational speech in the Dream Bungsu novel by Vanny Charisma W. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection technique used is document analysis. The results in this study indicate that the form of code switching is in the form of 11 sentences in the form of Javanese. And 6 phrases in the form of Jakarta, English, and Javanese. The next findings are, 5 words in the form of Javanese and Jakarta language. The factors causing the use of code switching and code mixing in the Dream Bungsu Novel by Vanny Chrisma W are: (1), fellow Javanese to make it easier to accept the meaning of speech from the speaker to the speech partner, (2) the Javanese who live in the village do not master the Indonesian language. , (3) the use of English to make it look prestige.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out about the increasing of dribbling skills at SMPN 11 Muaro Jambi and know the style teaching divergent can increase ability technique basic dribbling of students at SMPN 11 Muaro Jambi in the game football. This research is categorized as the classroom action research. The sample of the research is student class VIIID with amount 24 students (Total Sampling). The methods used in this research was action class, with Pre-Test, Test, Cycle I, Test Cycle II. The result of this research showed that the application of the Divergent Style Learning Model is capable to increase students learning outcomes of class VIIID SMPN 11 Muaro Jambi. It can be seen from the results of learning achieved through giving test such as Pre-Test, Cycle I, and Cycle II. In the learning process in the Pre-Test with amount student a total of 24, there are 3 students passed or 20%, 8 students passed or 40% in cycle I, and 22 students passed or 91,66% in cycle II. In addition, the Divergent Style Method can increase students learning outcomes on the material learning dribbling techniques in student class VIIID SMPN 11 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

Independent learning is an essential element in an independent curriculum that is driven or led by a driving teacher. The analysis in this study uses qualitative methods. The main objective is to analyze and formulate the stages in implementing independent learning for driving teachers to realize an independent curriculum. As for the independent curriculum itself, in its implementation it is dynamic, flexible and changes according to the educational needs of each school. In planning independent learning activities, this can be done by: developing a learning framework, mapping competency standards and learning assessments, mapping learning according to the Pancasila student profile, and setting a flow of learning objectives. Whereas in implementing the independent curriculum, it can carry out learning contracts between teachers and students, carry out literacy and numeracy-based learning, and apply discussion and collaboration learning methods. The orientation of learning activities in the independent curriculum is the freedom of students and teachers in carrying out learning. So that learning that is oriented towards an independent curriculum can be carried out by free, creative and innovative in accordance with the interests of students and is able to develop their talents.

Abstract

The emergence of new languages led to the occurrence of interesting language phenomena, one of which was the language of plesetan. People's language skills are increasingly creative in expressing critical things, including those that are political. This study aims to describe the forms and types of plesetan language games. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach.  The object of this study is specifically determined in the lyrics of popular songs in Indonesia taken from online media. Data in the form of words or sentences in the lyrics of popular songs in Indonesia. Data is transcribed from images and converted into sentences and/or words. Data was collected using documentation, reading, and transcript techniques. The data triangulation technique used, namely source triangulation, is to check several related sources to test the credibility of research data.  The data analysis process is carried out using a qualitative model from Miles and Huberman through 3 steps, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the plesetan language games that appeared in the lyrics of popular songs in Indonesia proved that people's language skills are increasingly creative in expressing critical things, including political ones. Discussing the use of plesetan language, will be able to increase people's insight in responding to and using pun language, especially in understanding the context of speech in the missed song

Abstract

This research aims to examine the theory of information processing in Islamic Religious Education learning with a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) approach, focusing on improving students' critical thinking abilities. The research method used is a qualitative approach through literature review, with data sources such as books, journals, theses, and documents related to the theory of information processing in PAI learning based on HOTS. Data collection techniques involve observation and documentation. The results of this study showed that the theory of information processing in PAI learning based on HOTS have three main principles, namely the utilization of students' prior knowledge, goal-oriented instructional design, and feedback provision. In addition, there were several stages in the theory of information processing, namely stimulus identification as perception, response selection as decision-making, and response programming as action. The implementation of the theory of information processing in PAI learning based on HOTS can be done by presenting challenging statements to students to express arguments and engage in critical thinking. The application of the HOTS approaches also benefits students in developing logical and creative thinking skills, enabling them to become intelligent and skilled individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the didactic values in the folklore book Prince Sutan Galumat. The formulation of the problem in this research is what didactic values are contained in the folklore book of Prince Sutan Galumat. This study uses qualitative methods and descriptive research types. The data source for this research is the folklore book of Prince Sutan Galumat. The data in this study were obtained from descriptions, sentences, dialogue quotes. Collecting data in research using library techniques. The results of this study are (1) moral values, namely values related to character, values related to morals (2) intelligence values, namely values related to logical thinking, values related to creative thinking, (3 ) social values, namely, values related to a sense of responsibility, values related to a sense of tolerance (4) religious values, namely, values related to spirituality, values related to being virtuous, values related to being in the way of God (5) the value of independence, namely, the value related to the ability to make decisions, the value related to self-confidence, the value related to responsibility for what is done (6) the value of patience, namely, the value related to not giving up easily, the value related to always forgive, a value related to not having a grudge. Prince Sutan Galumat's folklore book can be used as a medium to instill didactic values in students. The folklore book of Prince Sutan Galumat can be used as an alternative teaching material in learning Indonesian. Prince Sutan Galumat's folklore book can be used as a medium to instill didactic values in students. The results of the research can be used as a reference source for other researchers who want to research in the same research with different studies and can be used as guidelines or principles in living life.

Abstract

The use of practical and efficient learning media is still rarely used in learning, giving rise to a less active and passive learning atmosphere at SMKN 71 Jakarta, therefore these problems can be overcome with Google form media. The purpose of this study was to analyze and find out whether there is an influence of Google Form media on student learning motivation and to calculate how much influence Google Form media has on student learning motivation. This research method is a correlational method that is used to measure whether there is a relationship and influence between the x and y variables and then a significance test is carried out. The results of this study are that there is an influence of Google Form media on student learning motivation with the results of the correlation that has been analyzed which is equal to 0.545 while the results of the significance test are positive and significant. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of Google Form media on students' learning motivation in the moderate category as well as positive and significant.
