Jurnal Ilmiah Dikdaya terbit 2 (dua) kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan April dan September. Jurnal ini mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian tentang pendidikan dan pengajaran, dan artikel yang masuk hendaknya bukan hasil plagiat dan belum dipublikasikan di tempat lain. Artikel akan di review oleh reviewer dan hasilnya akan dikomunikasikan kepada penulis. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of quality management policies in strengthening character education at SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi and SMP N 11 Muaro Jambi. The method used is the case study method, a descriptive qualitative type through observation, interviews and document analysis. The results of the research show that SMP N 7 and SMP N 11 Muaro Jambi are almost the same in terms of educational quality, both in terms of vision and mission, programs, and implementation of the program itself. Meanwhile, the obstacle faced by these two schools is that there is no information system support for implementing systematic character education.

Abstract

This research discusses the resistance strategy of Sultan Thaha against the Dutch in 1855-1904 through guerrilla efforts so that it became one of the people's resistances which took quite a long time before Jambi was successfully conquered by the Dutch in 1906. Since the political direction of Dutch imperialism changed in the archipelago after the signing of the Treaty of London in 1824, British intervention resulted in the Dutch having to review local authority contracts to guarantee their sovereignty. Sultan Thaha as the Sultan of the Jambi Kingdom tried to break the contractual ties with the Dutch by physically and diplomatically resisting the hegemony of the Dutch power which increasingly urged Jambi to remain submissive. This became the topic of the writer's problem about the efforts and strategies launched by Sultan Thaha in defending Jambi amid the pressure that the Dutch continued to make. The author tries to reconstruct using historical methods to reveal how the steps taken by Sultan Thaha in seeking people's support and the strategies used to defend Jambi from Dutch penetration.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the learning outcomes of elementary school students are still relatively low. To improve these learning outcomes, research is needed using cooperative learning methods, learner tee match type, particle type. This study uses the classroom action research (CAR) method which uses the research model design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research was conducted in October 2022. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that the application of the learner tee match type of cooperative learning of this particle type is suitable for social studies learning in class VB SD Condongcatur Muhammadiyah can improve student achievement. Applying one type of cooperative learning model increases competition. The pre-cycle average learning rate was 32.39% (bad results) increased to 73.25% (good results) in cycle I.

Abstract

This study focuses on translation analysis of the use of bilingual teacher talk in teaching TEYL (Teaching English for Young Learners) in Sepama Cambodian classrooms. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the students as teachers in the Sepama class used 8 translation techniques based on theories from Molina and Albirr. The results of the analysis were obtained based on the processing of 35 data obtained from online learning videos. The literal translation technique was applied to 9 data or 25.71%. Amplification technique as much as 2 data or 5.71%. Variation technique 1 data (2.85%), Typical matching technique 2 data or 5.71%. While the reduction technique has 9 data (25.71%). Transposition and particulate techniques each have 3 data or 8.57%. and finally Modulation technique as much as 4 data or 11.43%. The reduction technique is widely used because the structure of BSa is simpler than BSu. While literal techniques are also often used because teachers must immediately convey BSa and BSu immediately respectively.

Abstract

The news text that grew up among Javanese ethnicity highlighted a lot of local wisdom, one of which was religious value. This study aims to describe the practice of local wisdom in Javanese lelayu news texts in the Yogya-Surakarta community. The research method is carried out with qualitative descriptive of text objects. Data in the form of words, language expressions, phrases, clauses, and sentences, which contain positive value messages as expressions and representations of mikul dhuwur mendhem jero in withered news texts. Data collection is carried out by recording text based on criteria of data characteristics. Data analysis was carried out by utilizing the fields of linguistic semantics, language variety, pragmatics, and representation of social actors, with identification, classification, and interpretation procedures as qualitative research steps. The results showed that the disclosure of the value of "mikul dhuwur" was used (a) small names, (b) kinship greetings, (c) titles/titles, (d) religious names, (e) real names, (f) verse quotations, (g) deiksis persona respectfully, (i) care for speech partners, (j) lists of relatives as a representation of family harmony; The expression "mendhem jero" is used (a) a subtle term/euphemism for the event of death, (b) the smoothing of the event of the cause of death, (c) the circumstances/atmosphere at the time of death, (d) asking for forgiveness, (e) asking for settlement of receivables, and (f) asking for prayers for the deceased.

Abstract

Low learning motivation certainly greatly affects learning outcomes and learning achievement. One of the factors that causes this to happen is the lack of use of multimedia in learning and the selection of multimedia that does not suit students' learning styles. This research aims to see how the use of multimedia and learning styles can increase learning motivation. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Based on the research results, students' learning motivation increases with the use of multimedia that suits their learning style. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of students during teaching and learning activities in the classroom, the students' focus point is much higher, namely after paying attention to the teacher's explanation, the students' willingness to note down new things that are considered very important and easily understand or digest the learning material that has been studied.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of the STAD type cooperative learning model to improve students' learning abilities in learning drama texts in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The main strength of the STAD type cooperative learning model lies in students' learning skills in studying the characteristics of linguistic elements and rules in drama texts. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The research sample was class VIII D students, totaling 30 students. The research method used is a quantitative method and a type of pre-experimental research design. Data collection was carried out by observing and testing students' abilities in studying the characteristics of linguistic elements and rules in drama texts. Data analysis using SPSS 21. The research results obtained were student grades which were influenced by the use of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The results of data analysis show that the average post-test score is higher than the average pre-test score. The pre-test results showed that the highest score was 14 while the lowest score was 8. After being given treatment, it showed an improvement with the highest score being 19 and the lowest being 14. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test. From the calculation of the t-test results on pre-test and post-test data, it shows an increase. It is known that the Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.005, it can be concluded that there is a real difference between student learning outcomes in pre-test and post-test data. Thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that the STAD type cooperative learning model is effectively used to improve students' learning abilities. From the research results, teachers are expected to increase the procurement of learning models and media. With this, teachers are more creative and innovative in learning activities. The learning process also makes students not feel bored and fed up, which can increase their motivation to learn.

Abstract

During the industrial revolution 4.0, the millennial generation should need to cultivate adequate digital literacy. The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 towards industry 5.0 which is characterized by super smart digital technology requires literacy that is not just literacy in the form of reading, writing, and counting (calistung). Equipping digital literacy to the millennial generation can encourage the realization of a superior and competitive generation in the future for academic purposes (digital literacy for academic purposes). The purpose of this study is to reveal the motivation for the attitude of using digital literacy of millennial generation students in terms of social media ownership, and the use of e-learning in digital-based learning. The research was conducted by quantitative descriptive method. Data is collected by giving questionnaires through google forms along with the reasons for choosing the selected answers. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively which was presented in the form of a bar chart to illustrate the motivation for the attitude of using digital literacy in students of the health study program at STIKes Syedza Saintika. The results showed that millennial generation students have high motivation towards digital literacy, driven by awareness of the importance, demands of work, positive impact on learning, motivation to innovate, and self-empowerment. Higher education needs to pay attention to the results of this research to develop strategies that can further motivate students in developing their digital literacy to face the challenges of an increasingly digitalized future. Research can be directly useful in improving the digital literacy of millennial generation students, for academic purposes (digital literacy for academic purposes), and strengthening the role of universities as promoters of the digital literacy movement in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the discovery learning model on the ability to write lecture texts in class XI at SMKS Pelita Raya, Jambi City. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The data obtained in this research are the results of observations, interviews, and documentation regarding the implementation of the discovery learning model on the ability to write lecture texts in class XI Accounting 1 at SMKS Pelita Raya, Jambi City. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of implementing the discovery learning model on writing skills, teachers and students have implemented the discovery learning model. The teacher has implemented the discovery learning model in accordance with the steps of the discovery learning model, starting from the stages of designing lesson plans, implementing them, and evaluating them. Meanwhile, students become active and able to write a lecture text by paying attention to the structure and linguistic aspects.

Abstract

Pragmatics as a branch of science has another part called presuppositions. Presupposition is a part of pragmatics that talks about an event before utterances are made in communication. Good communication occurs when both parties understand each other's assumptions that they are discussing. Communication can not only occur verbally, but also in writing, one of which is writing in the form of a novel. This is the background for the researcher to choose the title Analysis of Presuppositions in the Yang Telah Lama Pergi Novel by Tere Liye. The problem in this research is how the presuppositions in the novel Yang Telah Lama Pergi by Tere Liye are. This research aims to describe the presuppositions in the novel Yang Telah Lama Pergi by Tere Liye. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. The data collection techniques used in this research are reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of this research show that there are 106 narratives and dialogues that contain presuppositions. The 106 narratives and dialogues were then grouped based on the types of presuppositions according to Yule. It was found that 28 presuppositions were classified as existential presuppositions, 24 lexical presuppositions, 26 structural presuppositions, 21 factive presuppositions, 4 non-factive presuppositions, and 3 counterfactual presuppositions. The presupposition that is most often found is the existential presupposition because it uses novels as study objects which contain many narratives about the existence and state of things
