Abstract

Research Aim: This study aims to identify current Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and evaluate whether company disclosures genuinely reflect sustainability performance or merely highlight favorable aspects. Design/Method/Approach: The research applies a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by reviewing previous studies related to ESG disclosure, corporate performance, and greenwashing behavior from various international journals. Research Finding: The findings reveal that ESG implementation significantly influences a company’s financial performance and the valuation of intangible assets. However, some companies engage in greenwashing to attract investors by overstating their ESG achievements. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the academic discussion on ESG disclosure by mapping research trends and synthesizing insights from reputable scholars, providing a conceptual understanding of the link between ESG and corporate value. Practitioner/Policy Implication: The results imply that regulators and corporate managers must strengthen transparency and reporting standards to prevent misleading ESG disclosures. Research Limitation: The limitation of this study lies in the restricted number of reviewed articles, which may constrain the comprehensiveness of the analysis.

Abstract

Research aim: This finding can provide a purpose for interpreting the determination of employee involvement in the influence of work environment comfort, communication, and time management on employee performance. Methode: This finding uses primary data. Respondents were selected by an accidental sampling technique, namely by giving questionnaires in the form of Google Forms to respondents and making them accessible to researchers based on predetermined criteria. Research Finding: The findings interpret that the workplace environment may have little impact on productivity but that effective communication and time management are likely to have wide-ranging benefits for the organization. Theoretical contribution: This research contributes to the human resource management literature by showing that time management and employee engagement significantly impact employee performance. The findings strengthen existing theories and offer a new perspective by integrating both concepts within the theoretical framework. By emphasizing the role of time management as a driver of employee engagement, this study provides deeper insights into the relationship between time management, engagement, and performance and opens up opportunities for further research in this area. Practitionel implication: Organizations should implement a structured and regular performance evaluation system to provide necessary employee feedback. In addition, training on time management and effective communication should be provided to enhance employee engagement. Establishing a comfortable working environment and a culture of open communication will encourage active employee participation. Monitoring and following up on employee satisfaction and implementing a reward system for outstanding employees are also critical. Organizations can improve employee performance and create a positive work culture with these measures. Research limitation: This research has several limitations. Among them, the research focuses only on the State’s Civil Apparatus in the Riau Islands Provincial Government, so the findings may not be generalizable to other sectors or locations. Then, the use of questionnaires as a data collection method may cause respondent bias, which may affect the accuracy of the results. Furthermore, this study did not consider other external factors that may affect employee performance, such as economic conditions or applicable government policies.

Abstract

Research Aim: This study aims to develop a SERVQUAL model to restore student satisfaction in polytechnic institutions in Medan City through campus facilities in the post-pandemic period. Approach: The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive statistical analysis and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected from polytechnic students in Medan City using purposive sampling techniques. Research Finding: The results indicate that SERVQUAL significantly influences polytechnic student satisfaction through campus facilities in the post-pandemic era. The quality dimensions of tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy contribute to improving overall satisfaction. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study extends the application of the SERVQUAL model in higher education by integrating post-pandemic contextual factors, offering new insights into the determinants of student satisfaction in vocational institutions. Practitioner/Policy Implication: Findings provide practical implications for educational managers to enhance academic service quality and campus facilities, thereby improving educational competitiveness and institutional reputation after the pandemic. Research Limitation: This study is limited to polytechnic institutions in Medan City, so future research should include broader geographic coverage and comparative analysis across various higher education institutions.

Abstract

Research aim: This research examines the effect of organizational commitment as a mediating variable factor on cultural organization and job satisfaction about organizational citizenship behavior. Method: The data analysis uses Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) bootstrapping. Research Finding: The result of the research showed that culture organization has a significant impact on organizational citizenship behavior, job satisfaction does not significant affect organizational citizenship behavior, culture organization significantly affect organizational commitment, job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational commitment, commitment organizational does not significant affect organizational citizenship behavior, organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of culture organization on organizational citizenship behavior, and organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior. Theoretical contribution: The conceptual framework developed in this research model is a development of previous research by presenting organizational commitment as a mediator variable on culture organization and job satisfaction toward organizational citizenship behavior. Practical Implication: The results of this research are a reference for companies in maintaining and increasing the level of organizational citizenship behavior of employees and maintaining the level of employee loyalty to the company. Research Limitation: This research focuses on one company with a relatively small number of employees so it can’t represent other companies operating in the same field.

Abstract

Research aim: This study aims to reveal the financial planning actions taken by the younger generation. The factors taken to measure the financial planning of the younger generation are Financial Literacy, Trust, FOMO, and Mental Accounting. Method: This research uses a quantitative method, where researchers use numbers based on a Likert scale to answer the hypothesis proposed. The data collection method in this research uses non-probability sampling or voluntary sampling techniques. After distributing the questionnaires, a sample size of 140 respondents was obtained. The sample obtained was then analyzed using statistical software, namely Smart PLS 4.0. Research Finding: The findings obtained in this research are that the independent variables, namely financial literacy, trust, and fomo, have a positive and significant impact on the financial planning of the younger generation. Meanwhile, one other variable, namely mental accounting, has no effect on individual financial planning in the younger generation. When viewed from the impact of the existing correlation of the independent variable on the dependent variable, it has a value of 55.2 percent. The rest may be influenced by other variables that were not tested in this study. Theoretical contribution: This research contributes to the tendencies that can cause an individual to be influenced in deciding financial actions. Practitionel implication : Financial literacy, self-confidence, and mental accounting have an impact on individuals when doing financial planning. So that individuals must be able to protect themselves by understanding the factors that drive their decision making. The findings in this research can be taken into consideration in decision making by the government regarding financial education to the public. Apart from that, the findings from this research can also be input for financial service providers to provide understanding to users before using their financial products. Research limitation : This research was only conducted on the younger generation, namely the generation born between 1997 - 2010 or commonly known as generation Z. Therefore, these results cannot be used to make judgements about millennials or other generations. So these results cannot properly be an assessment of millennial society or other generations.

Abstract

Research aim : This research aims to test the influence of perceived usefulness and perceived convenience on purchase intention with attitude as a mediating variable. This research was conducted in Tarakan City. Design/Methode/Approach : The theoretical approach used in this research is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This research uses a survey method with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire and a sampling method using nonprobability sampling. The validity test uses convergent validity and discriminant validity, and the reliability test uses composite reliability. Research Finding : The results of this research indicate that the variables of perceived usefulness and convenience have a positive and significant effect on the attitude variable. The attitude variable has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Theoretical contribution/Originality : This study strengthens the empirical foundation of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by validating the mediating role of attitude in explaining consumer purchase intention within the digital transaction context in Indonesia. Practitionel/Policy implication : The findings provide insights for marketers and digital business practitioners to enhance user perceptions of usefulness and convenience to improve consumer attitudes and ultimately increase purchase intentions. Research limitation : This research was limited to respondents in Tarakan City; future studies are suggested to include larger samples and cross-regional comparisons to improve generalizability.

Abstract

Research aim: This research aims to determine the influence of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on behavioral intention to use the sugar application through an Attitude toward using among sugar consumers in the Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas. Method: This research uses quantitative methods with a survey research type. Sampling used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling type. Research Finding: Behavioral intention to use the Segari application is influenced by perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness with attitude toward using it as an intervening variable. Theoretical contribution: This research shows that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness with an attitude toward using it as an intervening variable are very effective in increasing interest in using the Segari application. Practitionel implication: The implication of this research for companies is to continue to pay attention to and improve the Segari application in terms of ease of use by carrying out promotions, publications, and outreach to users to increase interest in using the application. Research limitation: The results obtained are not entirely consistent with the findings of previous studies, especially on the relationship between Perceived Usefulness and Attitude toward using, as well as Perceived ease of use on Behavioral intention to use, which indicates the possibility of the influence of other external factors that have not been analyzed further.

Abstract

Research aim: This research seeks to explain the role of gender in the success of start-up businesses in Indonesia, especially in Surabaya. Method: This descriptive qualitative study uses a literature review approach. Research Finding: Research has found that gender differences can determine the color and type of business people choose. Theoretical Contribution: The difference in treatment in terms of gender has implications for different results for start-up businesses. Practical implications: This research contributes to the business and industrial world by examining how to manage women's psychology to improve business. It also found that most business owners are women. Research limitation: The locus of study is limited to the city of Surabaya.

Abstract

Research aim: This research aims to explore the role of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM), Green Knowledge Sharing (GKS), green leadership, and employee green behavior in achieving sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) in the halal industry, using the Resource-Based View (RBV) perspective. Method: This study uses a systematic literature review (SLR) to analyze the relationship between GHRM, GKS, green leadership, and employee green behavior towards SCA. Data were collected through a thorough search in Scopus and Google Scholar databases with related keywords. Research Findings: Findings show that GHRM, GKS, and green leadership play important roles in improving SCA. GHRM and GKS strengthen employee green behavior, which supports the organization's environmental performance. Green leadership improves the implementation of GHRM and GKS and strengthens the relationship between GHRM and employee green behavior. Employee green behavior also acts as a mediator between GHRM and SCA. Theoretical Contribution: This research expands the understanding of how green HRM practices and knowledge sharing contribute to sustainable competitive advantage, especially in the halal industry, which must comply with Sharia principles and global environmental standards. Practical Implications: These findings provide practical guidance for the halal industry in Indonesia to integrate GHRM and GKS with Sharia principles and implement green leadership to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in the global market. Research Limitations: This research is limited to the literature available in the database and may not cover all practical and theoretical aspects of GHRM and GKS in the halal industry.

Abstract

Research aim: This research aims to analyze the influence of price perceptions, halal product trust, after-sales service and online promotions on online purchasing decisions. Methode: This research is quantitative. The sample consisted of 50 respondents who had purchased halal products via online applications. The sampling method used a purposive sampling technique: consumers in Surabaya who had purchased online. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS 20.0. Research Findings: The findings in this research are as follows: 1) Price perceptions do not affect online purchasing decisions; 2) After-sales service influences online purchasing decisions; 3) Online promotions influence online purchasing decisions; 4) Trust does not affect online purchasing decisions. Theoretical Contribution: Can provide additional information for readers and serve as a reference if they want to research further regarding the results obtained by this research. Practical Implications: This research is expected to be used to predict actual online consumer purchases through the variables studied. Research limitations: This research only examines the variables of price perception, after-sales service, halal product trust, online promotions, and online purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, the sample is only for consumers who have purchased halal products online.
