Abstract

Intolerance refers to negative attitudes toward differences, including differences in religion, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, or political views. It is important to address intolerance in educational settings by implementing approaches that encourage inclusion, diversity, and education about tolerance. The method used in analyzing the impact of intolerant behavior on the psychology and character of students at the high school level is a literature study research method by collecting study material through reading, writing and compiling from various sources. The conclusion from the impact of intolerant behavior on the psychology and character of students at the high school level is that intolerant behavior can have a serious impact on the psychology and character of high school age children. Children exposed to intolerant attitudes may experience emotional stress, insecurity, social isolation, and negative impacts on their identity. Parents and educators must play a role in shaping children's positive perceptions of cultural and social diversity and helping them understand the importance of respecting differences. Education that promotes open dialogue, empathy and understanding of differences is an important step in reducing the impact of intolerance on the psychology of high school aged children.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of PhET simulation media and student learning outcomes on molecular geometry material. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The form of experiment used in this research was One Group pretest-posttest and a class X sample of 20 people. Data analyzed using pretest and posttest are presented in bar charts and data management uses SPSS. The average results of the pretest and posttest scores were quite different, 41.5 and 67. Based on the results of data management using the Wilcoxon test, a value of 0.00 was obtained, less than 0.05 and the n-gain test criteria was 0.433, the medium category was obtained. Based on the research results, there is an influence of the use of PhET Simulation learning media on the learning outcomes of class X students in molecular geometry chemistry material

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of marketing strategy and customer satisfaction on the sales volume of flower bouquets through service quality in Medan Tembung sub-district. The population in this study was the Hai Gallery Medan store customers, totaling 250 customers. The sampling technique uses the Slovin formula with an error tolerance of 5% and uses the Sample Random Sampling technique so that the total sample is 154 respondents. The analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results of this thesis show the influence of marketing strategy on sales volume with the result tcount 3.007 > ttable 0.1322 and significant 0.003 < 0.05, so marketing strategy has a partially significant effect on sales volume. The effect of customer satisfaction on sales volume with the results of tcount 8.645 > ttable 0.1322 and significant 0.000 <0.05, then customer satisfaction has a partially significant effect on sales volume. The influence of marketing strategy on service quality with the results of tcount 3.643 > ttable 0.1322 and significant 0.000 <0.05, then marketing strategy has a significant effect partially on service quality. The effect of customer satisfaction on service quality with the results of tcount 3.998 > ttable 0.1322 and significant 0.025 <0.05, then customer satisfaction has a partially significant effect on service quality. The effect of service quality on sales volume with the results of tcount 2.542 > ttable 0.1322 and significant 0.002 <0.05, then service quality has a partially significant effect on sales volume. The direct effect of marketing strategy on sales volume is 0.123, while the indirect effect is 0.053, so it can be concluded that the intervening variable, namely the service quality variable, is not able to mediate marketing strategy on sales volume. The direct effect of customer satisfaction on sales volume is 0.564, while the indirect effect is 0.020, so it can be concluded that the intervening variable, namely the service quality variable, is not able to mediate customer satisfaction on sales volume.

Abstract

Learning motivation, critical thinking and communication skills need to be improved. Based on the results of the observations in the 5th Grade of Strada Bhakti Wiyata II Elementary School, they were not optimal yet. The students seemed less enthusiastic in participating in the classroom because they did not get any proper appreciation after each lesson. Based on the problems found by researcher, it was necessary to conduct a Classroom Action Research design conducted on the 28 Grade 5 Elementary School students to analyze the developments of their learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and communication by applying the jigsaw type of the cooperative learning model in the Science class. Based on the results of the study, implemented in three cycles, it can be concluded that the application of the jigsaw type of the cooperative learning model could help the students improve their learning motivation, critical thinking skills and communication.

Abstract

The learning process requires a model that can help deliver learning, one of which is the problem based learning model. Problem-based learning is an innovative learning model that can provide active learning conditions for students. This research aims to determine the application of the problem-based learning model in Civics subjects as an effort to form democratic attitudes for high school students in the city of Lhokseumawe. To determine efforts to foster democratic attitudes in students through a problem-based learning approach. To describe the obstacles in forming democratic attitudes for high school students through a problem-based learning approach. The method used is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques use interview and documentation methods. The informants in this research were 9 PPKn teachers in the city of Lhokseumawe. The results of the research show that problem-based learning influences the formation of students' democratic attitudes. Problem-based learning focuses more on developing understanding of democratic concepts, as well as strengthening democratic values. The democratic attitude of students that emerges in the problem based learning model is an open attitude towards other people's opinions, producing decisions and freedom of opinion. The two factors created are (1) internal factors that hinder teachers in the learning process, which lies in the teacher's low understanding of problem-based learning (2) The external factor that hinders teachers in the learning process lies in the lack of learning books.

Abstract

Education is a system and way to improve the quality of human life in all aspects of life. Education is a conscious effort needed to prepare humans to support their roles in the future, both as individual and social creatures. In relation to social life, the aim of education is directed at the formation of social human beings who have piety as the basis of attitudes and behavior. And it is directed towards the formation of humans who have an awareness of obligations, rights and social responsibilities, as well as a tolerant attitude, so that harmonious relationships between fellow humans can run harmoniously. The research design used in this research is a qualitative type of research. In this research the author used library research. To analyze the data in this research the author used interpretative methods and content analysis. Based on data analysis in this research, the author can conclude that zakat is one method in the process of forming social attitudes that needs to be instilled and fostered in forming Muslim individuals. Through direct practice methods (coaching) in everyday life. So zakat will become part of the actions and behavior of human life

Abstract

Attitude is currently receiving a lot of attention in learning foreign languages because attitude toward language learning is considered the key factor for people to learn a language. In other words, one part that can indicate the success or failure of learning a foreign language is their attitude toward the language. This study used a descriptive qualitative method and two research instruments, namely closed questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with the research objectives to reveal the attitudes of students of the English education study program at Indo Global Mandiri University toward English language learning and the attitudes of students of the study program English education at Indo Global Mandiri University in each semester. Research participants for the questionnaire were 121 students and 8 students were interviewed. The findings from the questionnaire data analysis revealed that students of the English education study program at Indo Global Mandiri University had a positive attitude toward English language learning and the findings from the interview discovered that students of the English education study program at Indo Global Mandiri University also had a positive attitude in each semester.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the item test quality for English final semester exams presented to ninth-grade students during the academic year 2022/2023 at Mts Nurul Yaqin. This study aims to offer feedback and serve as a model for English teachers, educators, test developers, and other individuals involved in the creation of English tests. The analysis will focus on evaluating item difficulty, item discrimination, and the efficacy of distractors. The results of the research show that the final semester exam question quality is very good, since most of the questions in level of difficulty fall within the medium questions. In index of distinguishing power is also good, due to the fact that the highest percentage of questions is in the category of good questions. Then, in terms of the distractor function, based on the results of students' answers, it is categorized as having a distractor that has been functioning properly.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether motivation and compensation have a positive and significant effect on increasing work productivity through assessing employee performance at PT. Lancaster Nusantara Cigarindo Medan. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative method with the help of the SPSS program. The sample in this study was 50 respondents. Primary data collection uses a questionnaire. The validity test results for the employee work productivity variable can be declared valid (valid) because all coefficient values are greater than 0.278 R table value. The validity test results for the Compensation variable can be declared valid (valid) because all coefficient values are greater than 0.278 R table value. The validity test results of the work performance assessment variable can be declared valid (valid) because all coefficient values are greater than 0.278 Rtable value. The validity test results of the employee work productivity variable can be declared valid (valid) because all coefficient values are greater than 0.278 Rtable value. The research results show that a). motivation has a positive and significant effect on increasing employee work productivity at PT. Lancaster Nusantara Cigarindo Medan. b). Motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee achievement assessments at PT. Lancester Nusantara Cigarindo Medan. c). Compensation has a positive and significant effect on increasing employee work productivity at PT. Lancaster Nusantara Cigarindo Medan. d). Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance assessments at PT. Lancester Nusantara Cigarindo Medan. e). Achievement appraisals have a positive and significant effect on increasing employee productivity at PT. Lancaster Nusantara Cigarindo Medan. f). Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of rewards on work motivation, the influence of sanctions on work motivation, the influence of rewards on job satisfaction, the influence of sanctions on job satisfaction and the influence of rewards and sanctions on work motivation and the job satisfaction of Medan City Population and Civil Registry Office employees. This research uses two dependent variables, namely rewards and sanctions, an intervening variable, namely job satisfaction, and an independent variable, namely work motivation., the effect of rewards on job satisfaction, the effect of sanctions on job satisfaction and the effect of rewards and sanctions on work motivation with job satisfaction of employees of the population and civil registration office of the city of Medan. This study uses two dependent variables, namely rewards and sanctions, intervening variables, namely job satisfaction and independent variables, namely work motivation. The data in this study were collected through distributing questionnaires to 40 employees at the population and civil registration office of the city of Medan as a research sample. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling. The data analysis method used is quantitative analysis, namely validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test consisting of normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing consisting of t test, F test and R2 test. Based on data analysis, the results showed that the indicators in this study were valid and reliable. In the classical assumption test, the data is normally distributed, there is no heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity. In the hypothesis test in the t test it is known that the award variable has a significant effect on work motivation, the sanction variable also has a significant effect on work motivation. In the F test it is known that awards and sanctions jointly affect work motivation. In the R2 test it is known that the award variable has a significant effect on work motivation, the sanction variable also has a significant effect on work motivation. In the F test it is known that rewards and sanctions jointly affect work motivation. In the R2 test it is known that the magnitude of the effect of rewards and sanctions on job satisfaction is 63.6%. While the remaining 36.4% is influenced by other factors outside the award and sanction variables.
