Online gaming communities are crucial for social interaction and communication among diverse groups worldwide. Language variation plays a crucial role in shaping individuals’ identities and social relationships within these communities. Based on those initial thoughts, this research is conducted with aims at examining the involvement of regional variations and digital dialects in the formation of identity within PUBG player groups. The approach used in this research is a qualitative anthropological approach. This approach was chosen because it focuses on human behavior and cultural phenomena which needs in-depth explorationof reallanguage analysis used in everyday communication in communities. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interview, and field notes and data analysis conducted using theme development, pattern recognition, and theme naming aided by Nvivo software in the coding process analysis. The finding of this research identified the formulation of digital dialects, influenced by repeated linguistic habits such as found in the way they use and form slang lnguage and the adaptation of newcomers to community-specific language norms. Moreover, the research highlighted the role of language variation in fostering community bonding, enhancing in-group communication, and reflecting shared experiences among players. Overall, this research offers valuable understanding of the complex interplay among language, identity and community dynamic within online gaming realms which have never been explored by previous related research.

This research investigates the effectiveness of Kahoot, a game-based learning platform, in enhancing motivation for learning grammar among university students. Recognizing the challenges faced by non-native English speakers in mastering grammar, the study explores the potential of gamification as an innovative teaching approach. A survey method was employed to collect data from 10 English university students using both structured and unstructured questionnaires. The findings reveal that Kahoot significantly enhances student motivation, engagement, and enjoyment in learning grammar. Students report higher satisfaction and improved understanding of grammar concepts compared to traditional teaching methods. However, the study highlights challenges, such as increased anxiety due to the competitive atmosphere and technical issues like internet connectivity. These results suggest that while Kahoot is an effective tool for grammar instruction, careful implementation is required to address its limitations and optimize its effectiveness. This research offers valuable insights for educators and researchers seeking to harness technology to improve grammar learning outcomes

This research applied a descriptive qualitative method to see the natural phenomenon of data in the field. The face-saving strategy was found to be mostly applied during coaching; MTRs do 69.23% of the time, and MNTs do 80%. While the face-threatening acts, MTRs uttered 30.77%, and 20% of utterances were uttered by MNTs. Using saving strategies during coaching helps the MTRs maintain good relationships with the MNTs. This research also suggests that implementing politeness strategies creates good communication and relationships at hand. The newness of current research lies in the in-depth analysis of the politeness strategy among mentors and mentees, which the face-saving strategy significantly contributes toward communication effectiveness.

The Sasak tribe is categorized as one of the multilingual speakers that exist in Indonesia who speak Bahasa Indonesia and Sasak Language (SL). The SL has two speech levels: Sasak Jamaq (SJ) for the lower level and Sasak Alus (SA) for the upper one. Along with social considerations, people's multilingual practice may differ from urban and rural settings in the Lombok region. This research aims to investigate the multilingual practice along with the factors that influence language choice in educational, casual conversation, and traditional gatherings domains within both rural and urban areas around Lombok. This research used a descriptive qualitative method employing the ethnographic research approach to collect data. Participants were categorized based on specific events that were taking place such as sorong serah events (traditional gatherings), Car-free days (casual conversations), and educational activities on campus. It turns out that the multilingual practice in the two settings (urban and rural) has the same pattern on how SA is becoming extinct. The linguistic endangerment has been caused by the widespread disregard shown by both non-royal descendants and meritocratic households. Furthermore, the limited domain is accessible for usage as a communication tool due to language policy, which incorporates Bahasa Indonesia in numerous formal contexts and excludes SA from school curricula. Furthermore, the domain is the biggest matter in how they choose a language to communicate as well as the topic, interlocutor identities, social status, and politeness.
