Abstract

The objecive of this study is to find out the impact of curriculum transitions on learning. The research method used is the library study, which is the method of gathering data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research. The results of the study show that the curriculum transition that is taking place in Indonesia is to improve the quality of education. The independent curriculum aims to cover the shortcomings of the previous curricula and also or encourage students to acquire academic skills that will help them their goals and this curricule is in line with the needs of today's society. The implementation of this curriculum is expected to inspire future generations to continue to strive to improve the quality and competitiveness of their education, as well as to be a tool for achieving better results and competing in the world of national and international education.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the understanding of democracy and examine the development of Civic Disposition among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Binjai during the 2023/2024 academic year. This qualitative research involves observations, interviews with Civics (PPKn) teachers and class commissioners, as well as document analysis. The subjects of this research are teachers, class commissioners, and student council (OSIS) members. This study uses Miles and Hubberman's (1994) data analysis technique, which consists of three parts: data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results show that understanding the concept of democracy through Civics education contributes to the formation of students' Civic Disposition. Democratic participation experiences, such as elections and class commissioner elections, provide a strong foundation for developing students' democratic attitudes and skills. The role of teachers in guiding students and training programs, such as leadership training, also support students' participatory experiences. Despite the challenges, understanding the concept of democracy helps students overcome obstacles and strengthens their Civic Disposition, making them active and responsible citizens in a democratic society.

Abstract

Overcoming the problem of stunting is a big challenge that requires cross-sector collaboration and increasing public awareness. Stunting is influenced by various factors, with children aged 36-47 months having the highest risk. Lack of maternal knowledge regarding nutrition and quality antenatal and postnatal services are risk factors for stunting. Sindangsari Village, Serang Regency, has allocated village funds for nutrition and health programs, especially through the Healthy Kitchen program. This program not only provides nutritious food, but also empowers people to understand the importance of balanced nutrition. However, challenges such as delays in disbursement of funds and community resistance to the stunting label still need to be overcome. Through a holistic and participatory approach, it is hoped that these programs can be effective in preventing and overcoming stunting at the local level. This research aims to explore strategies for optimizing Village funds in preventing and overcoming stunting in Sindangsari Village, Serang Regency. Qualitative methods are used with a descriptive focus, observing real social conditions using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. It is hoped that the research results will provide an in-depth understanding of how best to utilize Village funds to overcome stunting, especially in the local context of Sindangsari Village.

Abstract

This research aims to determine English reading skills through metacognitive strategies. This research method uses descriptive and qualitative methods. Data in the form of English learning results in tertiary institutions. Research data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing data conclusions. The results of this research show that authentic assessment is appropriate to use for English reading skills because it can measure individual reading performance and development. Besides that, the use of metacognitive strategies can be a clear link between students' English reading abilities and the development of their abilities. Second, an authentic assessment pattern that is suitable for students, namely prioritizing learner characteristics, meaning that each individual assessment is different from other individuals because it is based on performance or self-mastery in reading skills.

Abstract

Climate change due to global warming is inevitable and will have a broad impact on many aspects of life. Changes in rainfall patterns, increased frequency of extreme weather events, and rising temperatures and sea levels are serious impacts of climate change that affect the agricultural sector. For Indonesia, the threat of climate change has serious implications for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In Indonesia, changes in rainfall due to climate change disrupt water supply to various sectors, including agriculture. This is evident from the fact that the area of land that was previously suitable for rice cultivation decreased by 20% between 1990 and 2009. Changes in rainfall patterns that result in the transition of the dry season and rainy season make current rice cultivation patterns no longer suitable as they used to be.

Abstract

Education is the most important part of human life and each must have it because for the survival of every human being or every individual who will come. In today's Indonesia adheres to the curriculum of independent learning where learners have the breadth of determining the achievements undertaken. Likewise, in the problems that are taken, namely the independent curriculum in the formation of student character, that is, for students to be positive, have good morals and control emotions and of course show the attitude of pancasila profile. Abstract

The fish market in Medan, Indonesia, is a significant contributor to the local economy, providing an important source of protein for its residents. Fish product suppliers in the Medan MMTC market face challenges in managing inventory levels. The minimal availability of fish for sale at the MMTC market is an important issue that can affect the local economy and food security of local communities. This mini research aims to find out what factors cause the minimal availability of wet fish sales at MMTC as well as the influence of seasonal demand for fish at MMTC on fish availability. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data was collected from articles and journals available on Google Scholar and other websites. Meanwhile, data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the factors causing the minimal availability of wet fish sales at MMTC include: limited resources, increasing costs, changes in consumption patterns, limited infrastructure, and limited markets. In its synthesis, the influence of seasonal demand for fish in the MMTC market on fish availability is influenced by several factors that influence demand for fish in the market, namely: seasonal dynamics in demand for fish in the MMTC market, variability of consumers who buy fish in the MMTC market, and the influence of fish prices

Abstract

Education has a crucial role in forming individual character and morality, and the role of teachers as educational agents is very important in this process. This research method is a qualitative research method with a library approach, namely a research approach that uses written or literary sources of information, whether from books, journal articles, magazines and other sources as a basis for gaining an in-depth understanding of the role of the Teaching Professional Ethics course in character formation. and Professional Practices of Prospective Teacher Students in Indonesia. Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the economic inhibiting factors for fishing families in the coastal area of ​​Bagan Percut Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This research uses data analysis methods. Research results show that access to financial capital is one of the main challenges for fishermen in this region. The majority of fishermen depend on a loan system from local middlemen or "toke", which often provides fish selling terms and prices that are less favorable for fishermen. This causes fishermen to be trapped in a cycle of poverty and prolonged economic difficulties. The low level of education among fishermen has a significant impact on their ability to manage fisheries efficiently and increase the added value of their catch. Lack of knowledge and skills in post-harvest handling, marketing, and the adoption of modern fishing technology and practices are major obstacles in efforts to increase fishermen's productivity and income. Unpredictable weather conditions, limited access to modern technology and equipment, competition with large fishing industries, unsustainable natural resource management, and inadequate infrastructure are also significant economic inhibiting factors for fishing families in the Coastal Area of ​​Bagan Percut Village.

Abstract

Multicultural curriculum in elementary schools is an important focus in the current global education context. This research describes the developments and challenges related to the implementation of a multicultural curriculum at the elementary level, especially in anticipating global challenges. Through a literature review of related literature, this study identifies various approaches, strategies and issues that arise in the course of a multicultural curriculum in elementary schools. The literature study highlights the importance of awareness of cultural, ethnic and social diversity in the curriculum, as well as how this approach can integrate global perspectives in learning. In addition, challenges such as cultural resistance, development of relevant learning materials, and teacher training are the main highlights in efforts to realize an effective multicultural curriculum. The results of this study provide in-depth insight into the evolution of multicultural curricula in elementary schools, as well as highlighting the efforts needed to address global challenges such as migration, globalization and cultural diversity. The implications of these findings for educational practice will be discussed to strengthen the implementation of a multicultural curriculum that is more holistic and responsive to current global realities in elementary schools.
