Abstract

This research explores the relationship between the school principal's leadership style and teachers' work discipline in State Senior High Schools Pekanbaru, Riau. The study adopts a quantitative approach with a survey method and correlation technique. Through random sampling, the research involves 40 teachers from eleven State Senior High Schools in Pekanbaru. Data collection is conducted using a questionnaire, which has been calibrated with validity testing using Pearson Product Moment and reliability coefficient with Cronbach's Alpha formula. The research results indicate a relationship between the leadership style of school principals and the discipline of teachers in State Senior High Schools in Pekanbaru. The significance testing of a correlation coefficient of 0.51 supports this relationship. It suggests a moderate connection between the principal's leadership style and teacher discipline. This study implies that enhancing teacher discipline can be achieved through the role of the school principal's leadership style. In other words, a correlation of 0.51 indicates that the principal's role in leading and guiding teachers can have a positive impact on their work discipline, and these efforts may be crucial in achieving a higher quality of education.

The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach; the data source is words with two data used, primary and secondary data. Techniques for collecting data include interviews, observation, and documentation, as well as testing the validity of the data in the form of data triangulation, technical triangulation, and source triangulation. The data analysis technique uses the theories of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, and then the researcher uses data coding to present and verify the data. The results of the research show that the head of the madrasah makes planning and supervision of the Adiwiyata program, forms an Adiwiyata committee team and instills Adiwiyata values, completes facilities and infrastructure, makes policies, collaborates with various parties, and guides several schools. This research provides implications regarding the importance of the critical role of madrasah heads in realizing Adiwiyata status in schools. This emphasizes the vital role of the school principal in providing direction, vision, and strategies to integrate Adiwiyata values into the school environment as a whole.

Abstract

The introduction of the surrounding natural environment in the surrounding environment can attract the attention or interest of children with the media around them. This study aims to analyze and find out how nature-based learning management with an exploratory approach can increase scientific knowledge in students. The research method in this study uses a qualitative method with a case study type. This research was conducted at the Harapan Insan Kamil Kindergarten institution, located on the coast of Randutatah village, Probolinggo Regency. To get an overview of the object, the researcher made observations at the location and interviewed several components of the school, including the principal, two teachers at Harapan Insan Kamil Kindergarten, and two student guardians. The study results show that the management concept of the surrounding environment exploration approach in increasing scientific knowledge is carried out using program planning, implementation, and evaluation systems. The implications obtained through an exploratory environmental management approach can develop students' scientific knowledge, displayed through imaginative pictures and storytelling. Hence, this research improves students' science, carried out with environmental exploration techniques.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of madrasah-based management in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Tulungagung from three aspects of management: planning, implementation, and evaluation. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, with research sites at MAN 1 Tulungagung and MAN 2 Tulungagung. Data collection techniques use interviews, documentation, and field observations. The data analysis technique uses the Milles Huberman interactive model, namely data reduction, data display, and data verification. The research results show that the two madrasah have implemented management to improve the quality of madrasah-based education, starting from planning, implementation, and evaluation to create high-achieving Islamic educational institutions. Planning to improve the quality of madrasah-based education reaches level 3, namely representative participation. Implementation of improving the quality of madrasah-based education reaches level 4, namely transformative participation, and evaluation of improving the quality of madrasah-based education reaches level 4, namely transformative participation. This research provides implications regarding the importance of madrasah-based management by involving all parties in managing educational institutions efficiently and effectively.

Abstract

Interest in learning is still a classic problem teachers face in the learning process. The learning environment is one of the school resources that has the potential to arouse students' interest in learning. This research aims to explore and investigate how the design of the physical environment of classrooms or study rooms at the Alam Nurul Islamic School (SANI) Jember can influence students' interests. The research focus was analyzed using the theories of Tomkins, Renninger, Hidi, and several other relevant theories. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, where data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and photography. Data analysis uses the theories of Milles, Huberman, and Saldana with three steps, namely data condensation, data presentation, and verification. The SANI learning environment is managed with the nature-based school concept by utilizing and optimizing the characteristics of the school environment, such as context, content, and learning processes. In this research, strategies, and interventions in the planning and substance of natural environment-based space management by creating a natural learning environment infrastructure can increase students' motivation, attention, and learning experience and potentially increase student interest and engagement.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of research on human resource management in higher education based on the Google Scholar database. It can provide a reference point for further research on related topics. This research method uses bibliometric analysis; data collection is carried out based on international publication data from the Google Scholar database from 2015-2022 using the Publish or Perish tool, and the data analysis process is carried out using the VOSviewer tool. The research results show that the distribution of journal articles on human resource management related to higher education in the Google Scholar database from 2015-2022 is 999 journals, and the development of journal publications in the Google Scholar database has decreased. This occurred in 2015 as the highest number of journal publications, namely 222 (22%), while the fewest journal publications occurred in 2022, namely 19 publications (2%). Through density visualization, the terms "Human Resource Management" and "University" are the most frequently used research topics. With the overlay visualization, "Human Resource Management" was mainly used as a research topic around 2017, while the term University was used as a research topic around 2018. Based on this, further research on human resource management can be developed by referring to others that still need to be done.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of madrasa heads in realizing independent learning in inclusive schools in madrasah. This study uses a case study-type qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis is carried out circularly, from data reduction to data presentation and conclusion. The main findings of this research include changes in teaching and learning methods that are more inclusive, the use of digital resources to expand access to education, and the development of collaborative learning that supports learner-centred learning. The results of this research show that madrasah that adopt digital information technology can increase the accessibility of Islamic education for various levels of society by providing technological infrastructure, increasing human resource capacity, implementing digital learning and continuous evaluation. This research provides implications regarding the importance of inclusive approaches and digital information technology in realizing the "Merdeka Belajar/Freedom of Learning" vision in madrasah and the Islamic education sector more broadly.

Abstract

This research has the purpose to (1) test the effectiveness of the MBKM program model at Nurul Jadid University through limited trials; (2) conduct an evaluation and revision of the model; (3) carry out a broader model trial for the development of future MBKM prototype programs. This research employs a Research and Development approach with two implementation phases. The research outcomes indicate that in the first phase, an exploratory research and prototype design of the MBKM program were conducted through the MBKM Santri Mengabdi and MBKM Santri Mengajar programs. In the second phase, a trial of the MBKM program design was conducted with a limited group, and the outcomes demonstrated the success of the MBKM Santri Mengabdi and MBKM Santri Mengajar programs, serving as prototypes for the independent development of MBKM by Nurul Jadid University. Through evaluation and revisions, it was found that the MBKM Santri Mengabdi and MBKM Santri Mengajar programs are suitable for broader implementation, even though some technical adjustments were identified. The outcomes of the program trial indicate that the MBKM Santri Mengabdi and MBKM Santri Mengajar programs are suitable for implementation and are proposed to be carried out in all research programs at Nurul Jadid University in Paiton, Probolinggo.
