Abstract

The principal's leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the work dynamics of teachers, necessitating a strong commitment to offering clear direction and active support to the teaching staff. Furthermore, a favorable work environment encourages effective communication between the principal and the teachers. This research examines the effect of transformational leadership and work climate on school teacher performance. Employing a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, the study involved 70 respondents selected randomly from six schools with A and B accreditation. Data were gathered using validated questionnaires, and the hypothesis was tested through multiple linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that transformational leadership significantly influenced teacher performance, with a t-value of 3.698 and a significance level of 0.005. Additionally, the work climate had a notable effect, reflected by a t-value of 2,842 and a significance level of 0.005. When combined, transformational leadership and work climate considerably impacted teacher performance, as evidenced by an F-value of 29.357 and a significance level of 0.000. This research underscores the critical role of principals as motivating leaders and emphasizes the importance of fostering a supportive work environment to boost teacher performance in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal problem-solving competence on teacher performance. The method used is quantitative with ex-post facto design and correlation and regression approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 17. Samples were taken randomly from 181 teachers. The collected data were analyzed mathematically. The results showed that principal problem-solving competence positively and significantly correlated with teacher performance (correlation value 0.608 or 60.8%). There is a direct influence of 28%, an indirect influence of 13%, and a total influence of 41% from problem-solving competence on teacher performance. Based on these findings, improving teacher performance is greatly influenced by the principal’s competence in problem-solving. The study's implications indicate that to improve teacher performance, principals must have skills in dealing with and solving problems. Therefore, training in problem-solving for principals is essential to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of knowledge management processes in Arab universities based on artificial intelligence technology. A phenomenological approach is used to analyze this implementation in leading Saudi Arabian universities. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews, then analyzed using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method to explore themes and insights from participants' experiences. The study results indicate that implementing knowledge management processes based on artificial intelligence in Arab universities is moderate. Universities have developed networks to generate, store, share, and apply knowledge through artificial intelligence techniques. However, they still face various challenges in this technology-based knowledge management process. Based on these findings, this study recommends improving university infrastructure with the latest artificial intelligence technology and its application in knowledge management. It is also recommended that new services and applications based on artificial intelligence in the field of education be utilized through training programs, workshops, scientific meetings, and seminars related to digital developments. In addition, universities are encouraged to share knowledge internally and externally through knowledge management teams and training units in artificial intelligence systems.

Abstract

Individual learning in students is considered only partially optimal in supporting current digital competencies. To fulfill digital behavioral competencies, team leadership interventions are required through various learning activities undertaken by students. This study aims to analyze the influence of individual learning on students' development of digital behavior mediated by team leadership. Quantitative research methods with AMOS Structure Equation Model (SEM) analysis were carried out with the following stages: validity and reliability testing; SEM model suitability testing to determine the Goodness of Fit model by looking at the Chi-Square, Probability, RMSEA, GFI, AGFI, CMIN/DF, TLI, CFI, and NFI values; research hypothesis testing. The research sample consisted of 301 respondents who were taken randomly from students of Surabaya State University who were implementing the emancipated learning program. This study showed that individual learning affected students' digital behavior. Meanwhile, the mediating role of team leadership on the influence of individual learning on digital behavior consists of dimensions: opportunity to develop (not mediating), transparency (mediating), and creativity (not mediating). The implication of this research shows that the dimensions of transparency that shape students' digital behavior are openness in the learning process, transparent access to information, honest assessment, and open team communication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of spirituality-based public relations management in building the image of Islamic boarding schools in society, based on Fombrun's perspective. This study is based on the importance of Islamic boarding schools as educational institutions that educate students and contribute to the social and cultural welfare of the surrounding community. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study type, where data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data condensation, presentation, and conclusion. The study results indicate that the development of Fombrun's theory from the perspective of non-profit Islamic boarding school organizations produces the concept of “Panca Reputasi Pesantren”, which includes credibility, reliability, trustworthiness, responsibility, and local engagement elements. “Panca Reputasi Pesantren” integrates spiritual values with modern management strategies. This concept helps pesantren strengthen relationships with stakeholders and face competition with other educational institutions. This research has implications for expanding the concept of reputation in the context of non-profit organizations, primarily community-based religious institutions. It opens up space for further studies on spirituality-based reputation management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the cultivation of Wasathiyah Islamic values in Islamic boarding school-based universities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques used include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed through three stages: data condensation, data presentation, concluding, and verifying the findings. The study results indicate that the management of the cultivation of Wasathiyah values in universities is integrated into curriculum planning and campus management, which reflects the principles of religious moderation and diversity. Both universities emphasize role models as the primary method in teaching, with Wasathiyah values implemented in the curriculum and applied in campus life through attitudes of tolerance and inclusivity. Evaluation of the cultivation is carried out periodically to assess the impact and suitability of the program with student needs. This study provides implications for integrating religious moderation values in Islamic boarding school-based higher education to create an inclusive, tolerant academic environment and build moderate character among students. The Wasathiyah-based curriculum can be a model for other universities to develop education that supports religious harmony and social tolerance.
