Abstract

Participants of the Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS) at the Trosobo Health Center are a group of patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension whose condition needs to be monitored regularly. Diet is one of the important factors that affect the stability of the health condition of patients in the Prolanis group. The purpose of this program is to provide education on healthy eating patterns for Prolanis participants. The method of activities carried out is counseling and workshops with a total of 30 patients. Counseling activities and workshops are carried out by involving families who care for patients. Evaluation of the success of the program is determined by the patient's level of understanding about healthy eating patterns and fasting blood sugar levels and the patient's blood pressure to normal and stable levels over time. Based on the results of the program evaluation that has been carried out, 90% of Prolanis patients understand about healthy eating patterns and apply them in their daily lives.

Abstract

People who live in the Giwangan area, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta have public awareness in response to earthquake conditions. However, this is not the case for the migrant communities who lived after the earthquake in 2006. They are still inexperienced in dealing with earthquake situations. Some of them have not even interacted with local wisdom culture, especially in recognizing vibrations at the beginning of the earthquake. This is also the case in the neighborhood of education in Al Muyamman Giwangan. This community service aims to introduce ways of being responsive to the initial situation of the earthquake. The service method that has been carried out is through training in the manufacture and use of earthquake detectors for students. The results of the training showed that the participants were able to make an earthquake detector. This tool uses the sensitivity of the pendulum swing in a bottle against earthquake vibrations. Physically, the magnitude of the detected earthquake vibrations is like the ground surface vibration propagation when a truck is passed. Based on the approach to the magnitude of the Mercalli earthquake, the vibration is of magnitude 3 MMI (Modified Mercalli Intensity). This earthquake is equivalent to 4.3 on the Richter scale, still allowing people to save themselves. After the initial response to earthquake vibrations, it is necessary to be responsive when an earthquake occurs. This responsiveness is as understanding the existence of the assembly point location. We can carry evacuation efforts out if the location has exit access, release exits and supporting facilities that are in accordance with environmental conditions and local wisdom culture.

Abstract

Since the COVID-19 outbreak hits Indonesia in early March 2020, the government issued a policy that all students, from early childhood to university levels, conduct distance learning processes (from their homes). This is also done by the teachers in KB & TK Amal Insani. Distance learning is delivered by the teacher, one of which is by making simple learning videos made using cellphones. Based on the results of interviews with KB & TK Amal Insani leaders, distance learning carried out by teachers is evaluated every 2 months. A total of 77.2% stated that the learning videos made by the teacher helped children's learning activities at home. From the results of this evaluation, there are inputs from parents who want the learning videos to be made even more interesting so that they can increase children's enthusiasm for learning. The method of implementing this activity is by demonstration (providing examples and how to make learning videos) and mentoring. The target of this training activity is the teachers in KB & TK Amal Insani. The results obtained from this training activity are activity reports, training modules, and scientific articles.

Abstract

In the village of Gesikan, Subdistrict of gantiwarno, Regency of Klaten, there is a home industry in the form of mushroom cultivation. Mushroom SME in Gesikan Village was established 9 years ago and is still capable of meeting the needs of the food industry. Jamur Raya SME has several types of mushrooms that are cultivated such as oyster mushrooms, straw mushrooms, ear mushrooms, Lingzhi mushrooms and so on. Jamur Raya SMEs carry out production starting from nurseries to ready for planting. The results of these mushroom seeds are usually sold to farmers up to 1000 mushroom seeds every month. A portion of the seedling will be planted on its own and then sold according to customer needs. Mushroom Raya SMEs have a fairly high potential in production in the food industry, but there are also obstacles that are felt by these SME producers. Some of these obstacles are the lack of ability of Mushroom Raya SME to meet consumer needs caused by the limitations of production tools that are still simple/manual. The filling of planting media in the form of baglog and mixing of planting media is still done manually, so it takes a lot of time and energy to process it. In addition, there are environmental constraints, namely in the form of former planting media waste that accumulates, resulting in an unhealthy environment. Another perceived obstacle is from the marketing side which is still conventional or offline. Of course, this also needs to be supported by qualified human resources. Appropriate technology in the form of baglog filling equipment, planting media mixer & straw chopper is expected to be a solution to accelerate mushroom production in meeting consumer needs. Baglog waste treatment in improving environmental quality is also expected to provide solutions to maintain environmental health & cleanliness by using brisket maker and composter. Mushroom Raya SMEs are also expected to survive in the dynamics of the global market so that online marketing is an option to maintain this food industry. Marketing using website media is expected to be able to provide wider information in all circles of society.

Abstract

The yard of the house can provide benefits for family life if it is managed properly, can be planted with various vegetables and family medicinal plants (aloe vera) and can be an important part in supporting food security. Household waste in the form of vegetable residues, fruit peels that have been considered waste can be converted into multipurpose eco-enzyme fluids. The purpose of the community service activity is to train and set an example for the Women Farmers Group (WFG)Sekar Melati in Sanggrahan, Plumbon, Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta, to make eco-enzymes from vegetable waste and fruit peels including aloe vera skin as liquid organic fertilizer for vegetable crops and as a disinfectant. Problems faced include WFG not knowing how to manufacture and benefiting from eco-enzyme (EE) from fruit peel waste and vegetable residue. The yard land has not been optimally utilized, does not know the correct plant cultivation techniques in polybags, especially the manufacture of planting media and plant maintenance. To find solutions to these problems, counseling and training on EE manufacturing technology were carried out. Transfer of technology for the cultivation of organic vegetables and family medicinal plants (aloe vera). The results of the WFG activities that have been carried out are that the partner group Sekar Melati is very enthusiastic in participating in all the community service activities provided. WFG Sekar Melati has been able to make eco enzyme, apply eco enzyme as liquid organic fertilizer and disinfectant. Abstract

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, which makes the community's economy difficult, the home industry is a brilliant solution, especially for people with disabilities. There is no stipulation on how much minimum capital to start, let alone age limit. Enough with a modest injection of funds, will, and persistence. The home industry can help people with disabilities in meeting the costs of their daily needs. The assumption that work must be a worker in a company or institution needs to be felt is not true. Building a home industry can also provide a large income, without having to work in someone else's place. Not only profit for ourselves, the home industry can also provide benefits to the people around us. If the home industry has grown large, it can absorb labor so as to improve the welfare of the community. With the good development of home industries in an area, it is hoped that in the future there will be many home industry units that produce similar products, such as the Independent Skilled UPPKS chaired by Mrs. Titi Sayekti, SKM which has the ability to process starfruit into syrup and can be developed into industry. Household Products Starfruit Syrup with high economic value. It is hoped that this can be followed by other household units in the vicinity, by making efforts to make their products more attractive to consumers. This is where the creativity of producers plays an important role. So in addition to the media collecting rupiah, the home industry indirectly stimulates creativity in the perpetrators. In the creative industry development activities that are carried out, they produce works in the form of "Kardiman Starfruit Syrup".
