Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical challenges in integrating the "Global Diversity" (Kebinekaan Global) dimension of the Pancasila Student Profile into Civics Education (PKN) learning within schools characterized by homogeneous student demographics (based on religion or ethnicity). The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Civics teachers, classroom observations, and curriculum document analysis at a homogenous private school. The results indicate that the primary challenge lies in the "experience gap"; students possess cognitive knowledge of diversity but lack the affective and psychomotor skills to interact with different groups due to the exclusive school environment. Teachers face difficulties in contextualizing learning materials because of the absence of direct examples of diversity in the school ecosystem. Furthermore, there is a tendency for "in-group bias" which hinders the internalization of inclusive values. The study concludes that Civics learning in homogeneous schools requires intervention through digital-based learning media and inter-school collaboration programs to present a virtual experience of diversity, ensuring that Global Diversity is not merely a theoretical concept but a lived value.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve fifth-grade students’ vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension through the use of digital storybooks. The study was conducted at MIN 1 Ogan Ilir and involved 20 students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through vocabulary and reading comprehension tests, observation sheets, and interviews. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes and classroom participation. In Cycle I, 55% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM), with an average score of 73.25. After revising the instructional strategy and implementing improvements in Cycle II, 85% of students successfully met the KKM, and the class average increased substantially. Observation results also indicated a positive shift in students’ engagement, enthusiasm, and interaction during learning activities. The integration of digital storybooks created a more interactive and meaningful learning environment by combining text, audio, and visual elements. Therefore, digital storybooks proved to be an effective instructional medium for enhancing vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension among elementary school students

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Educaplay media on students' learning motivation and problem-solving skills in the Islamic Education and Ethics subject at SMK Negeri 3 Sampang. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of 60 tenth-grade students, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The instruments used included a learning motivation questionnaire and a problem-solving skills test. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test and a Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The results indicated that the use of Educaplay media had a significant effect on students' learning motivation. Additionally, it had a significant effect on students' problem-solving skills. Simultaneously, the MANOVA results revealed that Educaplay media had a combined effect on both students' learning motivation and problem-solving skills in the Islamic Education and Ethics subject at SMK Negeri 3 Sampang. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Educaplay is an effective interactive learning medium for improving students' learning motivation and problem-solving skills. Therefore, Educaplay is recommended as an alternative instructional medium for Islamic Education and Ethics in schools.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the importance of improving numeracy literacy skills for elementary school students in addressing the difficulties of understanding mathematical concepts, while considering the use of gadgets as a hindering factor. The objects of this study are the state of numeracy literacy and mathematical concept comprehension among elementary school students in Indonesia, particularly in the context of uncontrolled gadget usage at home. This study employed a literature review method, sourcing data from Sinta-accredited national journals, Scopus and Web of Science-indexed international journals, as well as official reports from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud), OECD, and PISA published within the last ten years. Data were systematically collected from various databases, such as Google Scholar, ERIC, Garuda, and Sinta, and subsequently analyzed using content analysis and thematic synthesis. The findings indicate a strong and reciprocal relationship between numeracy literacy and mathematical concept understanding, serving as a predictor of long-term academic success, as confirmed by Jordan et al. (2022) and supported by the findings of Purwaningrum et al. (2023) in the Edupedia journal. Meanwhile, the uncontrolled use of gadgets was found to undermine students' foundational numeracy skills in several ways: by consuming independent study time, reducing working memory, substituting numeracy tasks with entertainment media, and diminishing students' intrinsic learning motivation. This study asserts that improving numeracy comprehension is a critical necessity in education. Achieving this requires collaboration among various stakeholders. Teachers must employ instructional methods that are relevant to daily life contexts. Parents should also actively guide their children's learning and regulate their screen time. Furthermore, the government and policymakers must improve the curriculum and facilitate continuous professional development for teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sejarah berdirinya serta penyelenggaraan program unggulan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di KB Lesung Jumengglung Desa Maitan, Dukuh Gebang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus, karena dianggap mampu menggambarkan fenomena secara mendalam dan kontekstual sesuai kondisi sosial masyarakat pedesaan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan pendiri lembaga, guru, serta peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta diperkuat dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode untuk menjaga keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KB Lesung Jumengglung berdiri pada tahun 2019 sebagai respons atas keterbatasan akses layanan PAUD di wilayah pedesaan, khususnya di Dukuh Gebang. Lembaga ini berkembang berkat kepedulian dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat, orang tua, serta komitmen para pendidik. Program unggulan yang diterapkan meliputi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler komputer dan drum band, workshop wali murid, serta pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal melalui kegiatan proyek dan kerajinan tangan. Program-program tersebut mampu menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, bermakna, dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter, kreativitas, serta keterampilan sosial anak. Sejarah berdirinya dan keberlanjutan program unggulan KB Lesung Jumengglung menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan layanan PAUD yang berkualitas dan berkelanjutan di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is currently facing a serious issue in the form of learning loss, marked by decreased motivation, learning ability, and academic achievement of students, including at SMA Plus Al Ghifari. This condition is evident from passive learning attitudes, lack of attention to teachers, no preparation for learning at home, and an inability to complete assignments. This study employs a case study method based on Self-Determination Theory (SDT) to examine students' learning motivation and the factors influencing it. The findings indicate that motivation plays an important role as a driver of learning activities and a determinant of educational success. Field findings reinforce previous research that high motivation increases enthusiasm, perseverance, and achievement, whereas low motivation leads to indifference and learning difficulties. This study underscores the need to strengthen intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and the active role of teachers in providing positive support and the creation of a conducive learning environment to overcome learning loss and improve the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan manajemen keuangan pada lembaga pendidikan Islam TK Pertiwi Minsya’ul Athfal dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas layanan pendidikan. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini difokuskan pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pengelolaan keuangan lembaga, serta peran partisipasi masyarakat dalam mendukung pembiayaan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen keuangan di TK Pertiwi Minsya’ul Athfal dilaksanakan secara sederhana namun terencana, transparan, dan berorientasi pada asas keadilan serta inklusivitas. Sumber pembiayaan utama berasal dari SPP yang terjangkau, disertai kebijakan pembebasan dan keringanan biaya bagi siswa kurang mampu. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan keuangan yang efektif dan partisipatif mampu menjaga keberlangsungan lembaga meskipun dalam keterbatasan sarana prasarana, sekaligus memperkuat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap lembaga pendidikan.

Abstract

Many teachers are still unable to manage student behavior effectively in accordance with Islamic values and 21st-century character. This is certainly a problem that needs to be addressed considering the rapid development of education in the 21st century. It certainly requires a deeper understanding of 21st-century education in solving this problem. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze and identify how the use of behavior management strategies by Islamic education teachers as leaders, role models, and religious figures can be implemented effectively in 21st-century learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The descriptive qualitative method is a method that portrays, describes, and presents the object being studied based on the situation and conditions when the research is conducted. The recommended effective strategy is an integrative model that combines spiritual leadership, character strengthening, and 21st-century skills. In this model, teachers play not only the role of instructors but also as moral leaders who set examples and guide the formation of Islamic character in a tangible way. The success of this strategy depends greatly on the collaboration between teachers, schools, and the community, creating an educational environment that is comprehensive and supports the optimal development of students' character, morals, and competencies across various learning settings.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam bertujuan membentuk manusia yang beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia. Nilai dasar tersebut berakar pada konsep tauhid yang menjadi fondasi seluruh aspek kehidupan dan ilmu pengetahuan. Pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD), pembelajaran Akidah berperan penting dalam menanamkan nilai ketauhidan sejak dini. Namun, realitas di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa materi Akidah sering disajikan secara parsial dan kognitif, belum menyentuh aspek integratif antara iman, ilmu, dan amal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep dan strategi penyusunan materi tauhid integratif dalam pembelajaran Akidah di SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan mengkaji literatur klasik dan kontemporer tentang pendidikan Islam, filsafat tauhid, dan integrasi iman-ilmu. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penyusunan materi tauhid integratif melibatkan tiga dimensi utama: integrasi antara nilai ketuhanan dan pengetahuan ilmiah, integrasi antara aspek spiritual dan rasional peserta didik, serta integrasi antara teori keimanan dan praktik kehidupan sehari-hari. Implementasi pendekatan ini sejalan dengan semangat Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran kontekstual dan penguatan karakter. Dengan demikian, penyusunan materi tauhid integratif tidak hanya memperkaya wawasan teologis peserta didik, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kesadaran spiritual yang hidup dan berkelanjutan dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman modern.

Abstract

Educational financing management is a strategic element in secondary education policy because it plays a crucial role in determining the effectiveness of achieving quality, equity, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze educational financing management within the dynamics of secondary education policy through a conceptual and policy approach. The study employed a qualitative method based on literature review, analyzing academic books, reputable national and international journal articles, and relevant policy documents. The analysis was conducted using content and thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns, concepts, and the implementation of secondary education financing policies. The study's results indicate that the main problem with secondary education financing lies not only in the size of the budget, but also in the quality of financing management, which encompasses planning, governance, accountability, performance orientation, and the principle of fairness. The study's synthesis formulated a conceptual model that places financing management at the core of secondary education policy, with three main pillars: governance, performance orientation, and distributive justice. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening integrated, needs-based, and sustainable educational financing management to support improvements in the quality and equity of secondary education.
