Abstract

The main cause of the increasing number of Covid 19 virus case, both the public and medical personnel, is a lack of concern in taking preventive action. Many people do not use masks when they are outside and not maintain personal hygiene and proper living environment. Most of their reasons were limited of masks, the high price of masks and antiseptics cleaning fluids, and the cloth masks on market were not standard. Puskesmas Biaro is one of the referral health center for Covid 19 patients. So that, this place is very vulnerable to being a place of virus transmission. But in fact, there are many visitors who don't use masks properly, never use the antiseptic to cleaned their houses or any objects that were good at attaching virus. The purpose of this activity was to increase community knowledge, especially for health care visitors to be able to make their own masks and disinfectant at home as a step to break the transmission chain of the Covid 19 virus. The education method was direct counseling. Based on the results of the pretest and post-test, there was a significant difference between the level of participants' knowledge before and after education. Then, based on participants monitoring were found 5 from 7 participants had applied the results of education in their daily lives. In conclusion, this educational activity was very useful, provided the easy and inexpensive solutions, and could be done directly by the participants in their home.

Abstract

Data from the Padang City Health Office in 2017 showed that there were 142 women diagnosed with breast cancer in the city of Padang. There are 25.4% of patients with breast cancer in the working area of the Lubuk Begalung Health Center. Community service activities at FKM Unand are carried out with BSE health promotion efforts to prevent breast cancer in SMAN 4 Padang City students. SMAN 4 Padang is one of the schools that has the most students with the average student being part of the population of Lubuk Begalung District. The target of the service output is to increase students' knowledge about breast cancer and students' skills in BSE as an effort to detect breast cancer early. The implementation method is carried out by counseling about breast cancer prevention through BSE activities. The result of the average pretest score of knowledge level is 5.2 with a standard deviation of 1.70. While the results of the post-test average knowledge level was 7 with a standard deviation of 1.51. The statistical test results obtained a p value of 0.000, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the level of knowledge of pre-test and post-test education about BSE in students of SMAN 4 Padang. It is hoped that similar activities can be carried out at other schools in the city of Padang considering that from the results of questions and answers with students, the socialization carried out is an effort to increase students' knowledge regarding breast cancer prevention.

Abstract

Zinc is an essential micronutrient in the human body as a cofactor of about 300 enzymes. Zinc is very instrumental in the growth process, including maintaining the thymus so that atrophy is not fast. Zinc deficiency can affect the immune system. Zinc deficiency can be caused due to a lack of zinc intake. In theory, many factors affect zinc intake, among others, community knowledge, education, economy, diet, habits, and customs. Lambung Bukit Village is a fostered village of Andalas University. Most people in this village are classified as economically deficient because the community generally farms. The level of public knowledge about zinc is still lacking. This service aims to increase public knowledge of the importance of zinc on body health and the provision of zinc supplements to prevent zinc deficiency and is expected to reduce morbidity and mortality due to infection in children. This activity has been carried out at Bustanul Ulum Elementary School in Batu Busuk Village, Lambung Bukit Village, Pauh District, Padang City. Counseling conducted to 48 people (parents of students and teachers). Almost all parents' knowledge is lacking about zinc, the role, source of zinc, and its relation to several diseases. We hope this counseling can increase public knowledge about the importance of zinc on the body, mainly to prevent susceptibility to infections and any food sources that contain zinc. The results of a health examination by pediatricians found two students suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), poor oral hygiene, and many teeth carious students. Giving zinc syrup to children aged 7-10 years is expected to prevent zinc deficiency in children.

Elementary school students are consumers who are among those who consume the most food and beverages. Food and drinks sold around the school contain many hazardous substances such as dyes that have been banned from circulating (Rhodamine B in iced drinks, jelly drinks, and so on) and other additives such as formalin which is used as a chewy substance in meatballs sold in carts and restaurants that can cause acute poisonings such as allergies, coughs and chronic poisonings such as cancer of the liver, kidneys and other organs. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge about substances in food and an introduction to blood group examination. This activity was carried out at SD Negeri 13 Tungkal Selatan Village in North Pariaman District. The method of activity is in the form of counseling and demonstration. Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is motivated by the establishment of the Vision of Healthy Indonesia 2010 in the National Health System (SKN) as an integral part of the Long Term Development Plan for Health (RPJP-K) 2005-2025, through the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Number 131 / Menkes / SK / II / 2004. One of the PHBS arrangements is the arrangement of the school environment which is also in line with the world health promotion in educational institutions (health promoting school) launched by WHO. Based on observations, SD Negeri 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi is still not good enough in terms of clean and healthy living habits at school. There are still students who do not pay attention to their own health and the school environment. There are still those who throw garbage out of place, there are still students who don't wash their hands with soap before eating, and there are still many students who snack carelessly without paying attention to the hygiene of the food, and so on. With the formation and empowerment of the Healthy Schools Team, it is hoped that it can improve the behavior of clean and healthy living in schools. Not only that, through the formation and empowerment of the Healthy Schools Team, it is hoped that it can become a driving force in creating a clean and healthy school environment. The Healthy Schools team consists of students who meet the criteria and have been trained to participate in carrying out some of the efforts to maintain and improve the behavior of a clean and healthy life in the school environment. In general, the output target to be achieved in this service is to form and empower a Healthy Schools Team at SD Negeri 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi, Padang City, providing skills and knowledge about clean and healthy living habits from an early age. So that later this will become a pilot as a healthy school for other regions. This activity is in the form of socialization and counseling activities, the formation and empowerment of the "Healthy Schools" Team, the School PHBS Movement in the form of Evaluation and Sustainability of Program Implementation.

Abstract

Transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 from corpses to people around, namely mortuary officers and the families of the bodies, can occur through direct contact with body fluids, objects around the body that are contaminated with the coronavirus, and aerosols formed when the body is moved or turned over. The curing of the COVID-19 corpse requires special treatment so that the custodian of the corpse avoids the transmission of this coronavirus. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and awareness of medical and mortuary staff about the importance of organizing COVID-19 bodies by taking into account the standards that the WHO has issued, professional organizations while still paying attention to the ethical, religious, and customs aspects of the local community. This capacity-building method is in the form of an online seminar on the role of medical personnel in curing COVID-19 corpses through the provision of 4 topics by four presenters. The material provided was the ethical and legal aspects of the burial of COVID-19 bodies, the management of the burial of COVID-19 corpses, religious views on the handling of COVID-19 corpses, and filling out the COVID-19 death certificate. The results of the activities obtained are the pretest and post-test results to assess the participants' knowledge. Ninety-one participants attended the pretest, and 94 participants from 150 seminar participants attended the post-test. According to standard operating procedures adopted from WHO, the funeral of the corpse is carried out by taking into account ethical, cultural, and religious aspects. The province of West Sumatra itself is primarily Muslim, so this protocol is also based on the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council. The preparation of SOPs for the healing of COVID-19 patients and socialization needs to be continued with other health workers and the community to reduce the turbidity in the community regarding the handling of the bodies of COVID-19 patients.
