Abstract

Puskesmas Pegambiran is located in Lubuk Begalung Sub-district, Padang City has five villages with a pregnancy complication rate of 19.9% and neonatal complications of 11.74% (2016). The general objective that will be achieved is to increase the number of better health degrees for pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and pre-school age children through promotive and preventive activities. The method used is by conducting surveys and interviews, conduct counseling, demonstrate clean and healthy living habits, anthropometric measurements of infants, toddlers, and pre-school children, observation, pregnancy checks, hemoglobin checks, and counseling. The results obtained were counseling and demonstrations on clean and healthy living behaviors in pre-school age children at Alya Zahira Kindergarten, which all students could participate in and run smoothly. 98% of kindergarten students demonstrated healthy hygiene habits, including washing hands, brushing teeth, and mentioning healthy snacks. Anthropometric measurements of infants and toddlers and pre-school age children showed that weight for age was within normal limits, height/length according to age, and expected limits. 3.7% thin and short toddlers and 1.2% of toddlers have speech delays, 1.2% children under five with a history of epilepsy, and need further treatment, so referrals are made. 1.2% of children under five were referred to because they did not recognize colors. All pregnant women (100%) have normal hemoglobin levels (10 g / dl), and pregnancy conditions are appropriate for their gestational age. It is hoped that further community service activities will be carried out by applying the partnership midwifery practice model (mentoring) to the above targets for several months. There are changes in behavior patterns for promotive and preventive actions that have been given.

Abstract

Website is a feature that is commonly used for various purposes, ranging from the actualization of individuals, business institutions in dealing with the community of users of services or products, to become a digital face for official agencies such as government. One of the Nagari who needs the benefits of this website is Lubuk Karak, District IX Koto, Dhamas Raya Regency. This is because complaints and aspirations are still very dependent on physical meetings between community representatives and the head of the Jorong, with the guardian of the village. With the existence of the village website, it is hoped that it can become a digital medium to accommodate complaints and aspirations of the community and increase community interaction and communication with the staff of the religion. Through the KKN Mental Revolution activity, students are expected to become agents of change by socializing and inviting people to make changes in line with the values of mental revolution. One of the work programs carried out by thematic KKN students of Andalas University spiritual revolution is the creation of a Nagari website, this program as a form of the Indonesian service movement. This Website Creation begins with training activities and introduction to the Nagari website created by Andalas University, namely the village Information System and the submission of the website that has been made to Nagari Lubuk Karak with the address "website lubuk-karak.sisnag.com."

Abstract

Gemala Sari village, located on the outermost island adjacent to Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Batam, holds a natural and exotic beauty. The challenging condition of access roads to the villages will add to the challenges of the natural tourist adventurers who are currently being loved now. This becomes interesting if the village community independently wants to manage the ecotourism potential while at the same time introducing other potential potentials in the village. The red lake is caused by the red water due to the swampy ground. The red lake is still somewhat closed and has not been touched by the ignorant hands of the community so that the red lake is still maintained its naturalness. Independent community service activities in collaboration with students of the University of Riau develop the natural potential into their thematic programs. The implementation method is in the form of assistance in realizing ecotourism, and the results of the output in the form of promotional videos of Tasik Merah ecotourism are expected to begin to open people's eyes to develop this potential. From the results of the evaluation of assistance, it is very necessary for the participation of extension participants, especially the local government, to be able to manage this potential on their own. The team hopes that this activity can foster their motivation to be selective and active in media. Smart and critical attitude in media that is grown makes them village youths become a virus for their friends who have not participated in tourism promotion. They also hope that the activity can be carried out sustainably, bearing in mind that this is not just education but also entertainment and foster motivation in developing the country by utilizing the potential around them.

Abstract

Plastic has become a thing that we often encounter in everyday life. Various household appliances, cutlery, school equipment, and others still make plastic as the primary material. Plastic waste is the most challenging rubbish to be decomposed by soil naturally. Even in the span of years, the land will not succeed in breaking down plastic waste into organic compounds that can be reused by nature. Contrary to this, the consumption of plastic goods continues to increase every year, not least in the village of Kampung Jawa, Solok City. People who still choose to use plastic materials are the leading cause of the large amount of plastic waste produced by this village office. Through the Community Student Service Andalas University 2018, the "plastic waste diet" method has been carried out in the community. This movement aims to increase public awareness about the dangers of plastic waste to the environment and the importance of good habits to minimize plastic waste production. This method is socialized through counseling conducted to provide education to the community. The advice was chosen as an effective and efficient activity method to create good habits to minimize plastic waste. The counseling activities carried out successfully increased public awareness in reducing plastic waste. The community is interested in independently managing plastic waste produced in the surrounding environment, from collection to processing plastic waste into useful items. Community education and intelligence in managing plastic waste are very much needed; even minimizing plastic waste needs to be instilled early on to achieve a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment.

Abstract

Corruption is an extraordinary crime (extraordinary crime), so the handling must be done with extraordinary efforts. In this reform era, corruption is increasingly rampant involving various actors, from the central government to the lowest. From Transparency International (TI) data, Indonesia's 2017 Corruption Perception Index (CPI) is 37 and is ranked 96 out of 180 countries surveyed globally. Responding to the increasingly prevalent phenomenon of corruption, the world of education has begun to improve to answer the challenges of the swift currents of corruption. One of the efforts made is curriculum change. Curriculum changes that have been intensively discussed lately are the inclusion of anti-corruption character education at the pre-school to tertiary education levels. The purpose of this activity is to provide OSIS administrators with an understanding of anti-corruption character education, including understanding, rules, and implementation of anti-corruption character education in junior high schools. In contrast, the methods used are lectures, question and answer methods, and simulations with film screenings about anti-corruption characters in schools. The results of this activity showed that of the 30 (thirty) OSIS administrators who attended this event, almost 99% of them knew that corruption was a violation of the law. They could also explain corrupt practices that occurred in the school environment and their family environment, and sometimes they also become the perpetrator of the action.

Abstract

Kandang Baru is one of 61 development villages in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. The location is very strategic on the trans-Sumatra road, which is the main route connecting the provinces of West Sumatra and Jambi so that it supports the potential and bright prospects in developing economic and socio-cultural development, especially in the tourism sector. This village has good tourism and natural resource potential but has not been exploited either by the government or the local community. With the 2019 PPM Andalas University KKN activities aimed at developing human resources and community empowerment efforts through various creative and innovative work programs, it is expected that the potential can be developed. This activity is carried out with a causal method, which is to carry out work programs based on a SWOT analysis of problems that occur, such as low levels of education, low welfare of the population, conditions of primary schools that are expected, and so on. The results of this activity are summarized in physical and non-physical forms. Physically KKN students succeeded in initiating the construction of the Bukit Capang Tigo geopark tourism area gate (BCT) and have stood beautifully in the area, holding a reading park for elementary students by utilizing the nagari library and other programs. Non-physically, character building is carried out through tutoring, fostering camp tahfidz, and non-physical tourism development in BCT geopark tourism promotion by utilizing social media @KandangBaru Traveling through KKN activities conducted for 40 days, students have succeeded in contributing to Kandang New as a form of community service.

Abstract

Handwashing with soap is a healthy behavior scientifically proven to prevent the spread of infectious diseases such as diarrhea, upper respiratory tract infections (ISPA), and flu. Hand washing is one of the sanitation measures by cleaning the hands and fingers using running water and soap. School-age children are a period prone to various diseases. The habit of children consuming snacks freely, plus children not washing their hands with soap before eating, will cause various diseases. To avoid this, there is a need for counseling regarding washing hands with soap properly. The counseling was carried out on July 17, 2019, for class II 05 Mungka students with 25 students. The method used is counseling and demonstration of washing hands through 7 steps of washing hands with soap, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Based on the preliminary study conducted, 05 Mungka Elementary School does not yet have adequate CPTS facilities and infrastructure and does not yet know the proper and correct CTPS practice steps. After conducting counseling activities in the form of education and demonstration of CTPS, increasing student knowledge related to the material provided can be seen from the evaluation of test results both pretest and post-test. So it can be concluded that this activity can increase the knowledge of the importance of washing hands using soap and students' ability to practice the seven steps of washing hands with soap properly. This aims to reduce student absenteeism due to illness caused by diseases.
