Abstract

The current models of vocational school performance measurement refer to the eight National Standards of Education. They are accreditation and school seif-evaluation models, and the models are not effective yet, as they did not measure school performance from all aspects of the school life. Therefore, to measure school performance comprehensively and effectively, by using A Model of Vocational School Performance Measurement based on Balance Scorecard. The type of the research is development research. The development model procedure followed the model from Borg and Gall (2008: 570). Data collection used instrument replenishment to all school stakeholders. The collected data then were analyzed using scoring on each measurement indicator. The results obtained based on the stages of product development trial to 46 respondents. The result of study showed that the vocational school performance measurement model is very effective. The Effectiveness of model wastaken by filling questionnaires that contains of 13 statements and distributed to 46 respondents of four SMKs in Pesisir Selatan Regency. The effectiveness level of the model book is 91.24%, while the format book is 94.31%. It means that the books of the Vocational School Performance Measurement Model based on Balance Scorecard are very effective to measure the performance of vocational high schools.

Abstract

This research purposes is to find how the effect of parent income, the way of learning and student motivation to the result of study for student accountant program at SMK in Solok regency. This is descriptive, quantitative research, this research was conducted at SMK in Solok regency which conducted accountant competency. Technique to analyze data is using path analysis. The result of analysis show that 1) The parent income has significant effect to the way of students in learning, 2)The parent income has significant effect to student’s motivation in learning, 3) the parent income and the way of learning have significant effect to the result of study, 5)Learning motivation does not have significant effect to the result of study.

Abstract

Attitude toward cheating is formed based on someone’s perspective, belief, and knowledge or information received about cheating. If the students’ attitude toward cheating ispositive, their affective evaluation tends to accept and assume that cheating is normal. The positive attitudes are more likely to be an action of approaching, liking even expecting cheating behavior to occur. Conversely, if the students’ attitude is negative, their affective evaluation tends to reject, disagree, and assume that cheating is a prohibited act and leadstheir attitude to become negative behavior. Therefore, counselors need to provide the understanding of guidance and counseling service as one of alternatives in preventing students’ cheating. This paper discusses the concept of cheating and the role of counselor to help students avoid cheating.

Abstract

In a school, principal has major contribution to lead better education. It could be assumed that a principal is the center of school policy in order to improve educational quality. Dealing with preceding explanation, a principal officially should conduct an environmental analysis in improving educational analysis. This paper presents the result of a study about environmental analysis conducted by principal of SD N 01 Koto Tangah. Data were obtained through interview, observation and documentation. The respondents were principal, school committee, teachers, and students’ parents. This paper revealed that there principal as the top leader of the school has done environmental analysis professionally. Principal involved school committee and society in shaping school vision, mission and school policy. There are two environments namely external and internal. Both of them have been analyzed by principal in order to improve educational quality particularly at SD N 01 Koto Tangah.

Abstract

Based on early observation and teaching experience in grade IV student of SDIT Mutiara Hati Payakumbuh, finding writing skill of narrative in grade IV is low. For that need to improvement for help student in writing of narrative by correct stage. The research purpose to explain the process, result and motivate of learning writing skill by environment approach. The kind of the research is class action research through environment approach. Based on the result of research, using environment approach in learning writing student skill of narrative proved can increase writing skill of student. Increasing average in result of learning at pre cycle student writing skill of narrative by average 69,82 %. After did action increase skill become 80,5% at phase II student writing skill increase become 87,5%, writing of narrative through environment approach proved can motivate student by result of questionnaire by student, as many 58,3% student always want to study by environment approach and around 29,2 % hope more after study through environment approach.

Abstract

The depletion of students’ prosocial behavior is one of the problems associated with how students’ religiosity level and how students conform to behavior of peers. The aims of this study were to reveal the relationship between religiosity, peer conformity with students’ attitude toward prosocial behavior. The method used was quantitative, descriptive correlational type. The population was 332 students and 62 students were taken as the sample by using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments are religiosity scale (17 valid items, α=0,806), peer conformity scale (15 valid items, α=0, 732) and students’ attitude toward prosocial behavior scale (53 valid items, α=0,944). The data were analyzed by multiple regression. The result showed a correlation coefficient R = 0,638 and p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). That result indicated there is a positif and significant relationship between religiosity and peer conformity with students’ attitude toward prosocial behavior. The implication of this study could be used as need assessment to guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Unemployment in Indonesia is dominated by high school graduates, this is due to limited job vacancy available, and generally high school graduates do not have the skills qualifications expected by the world of work. CEP is a chemical approach that links the material being studied with a real object. This research aims to develop a chemistry guide of chemistry high school chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) for the odd semester of class XI IPA. This research was conducted using 4D Models. The result of the development got the product validity level is 0.84 and the test of teacher practicity and student of SMA N 5 with value 0,83, teacher of MGMP with value 0,88. Based on the validation and practicality that has been implemented, Chemoentrepreneursip (CEP) Chemical Work Practice Guides (CEP) can be used as a learning resource and can improve life skill (skill) of the students.

Abstract

The background in this research is student achievement not yet reached the level of achievement maximal. Of which 74% of students have a GPA of <3.50. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of lecturer teaching style, and student learning behavior toward student achievement. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive. Population in this research is student of semester V of Economic Education Program of Universitas Negeri Padang which amounted to 124 people with propotional random sampling technique. The results showed that: 1) There is a positive and significant effect between teaching style lecturers and learning behaviour towards on the student achievement 2) There is a positive and significant effect between teaching styles lecturers towards on the student achievement, 3) There is a positive and significant effect between learning behaviour on student achievement.

Abstract

Learning to Analyze Electric Circuitheld atPublic vocational high school 1 Pariaman, teachers still using conventional learning model with whiteboard and markers, this medium was only able to present the instructional in the one direction. It doesn't challenge students to understand instructionally well, so instructional goals not reached optimal.To overcome this,it need to be developed that makes students learn interactivelyand independent.In the form of interactive learning multimedia based on ICT valid, practical and effective.This is Research and Development, with the 4D model that is Define, Design, Develop and Desseminate. Based on the research results obtained data validity of the validator,1st validator 88.33%, 2ndvalidator 93.33%, and 3th88.33%, overall is valid. Test practicalities by teacher80.31%, and student 87.50%,overall is practical. The effectiveness test result is 91,89% with practical category. This research has resulted in Information Communications Technologies media isvalid, practical and effective.

Abstract

This research based on students of smoking behavior that unusual, smoking behavior is perceived as self-identity. However, students at senior high school level have great potential to be addicted to cigarettes.The low ability students in self-control and strength of peer conformity is the most dominant factor in influencing the smoking behavior of students. This study aims to describe self-control, peer conformity, smoking behavior, and the relationship of self-control andpeers conformity with smoking behavior. This research used quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational method. The subjects of this research were students which consume cigarette consists of 124 people. The instrument of the research, for all three variables was a Likert scale model, with instrument reliability:self-control 0.922, peers conformity 0.847, and smoking behavior 0.951. The data were analyzed by using multiple regression. The results shows that there was significant relationship between of self-control and peer conformity with smoking behavior.
