Abstract

This research aims to develop an effective teacher placement model based on school needs using the Iterative Dichotomiser 3 (ID3) algorithm. The right placement of teachers can improve the quality of education and ensure equal distribution of human resources in the school environment. The ID3 algorithm builds a decision tree that helps determine optimal teacher placement. The research results show that using ID3 in the teacher placement process can produce more structured and fair decisions, compared to traditional methods. Test and Score results in 100x experiments, with the model or method used as Tree, showing that the AUC value is 0.950. The CA value is 0.934. The F1 value is 0.93. The Precision value is 0.934. The Recall value is 0.934. It is predicted that 1 subject teacher can teach the number of students per class in class 10 around 32 people, and class 11 around 31 people, and class 12 around 37 people. It is hoped that the implementation of this model can support educational policies in improving the distribution of educational quality in various classes and subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and job satisfaction on organizational commitment at PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart) in Serpong District. Organizational commitment is an important factor in determining the success of an organization, including in reducing employee turnover rates. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research design. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 66 Alfamart employees selected using non-probability saturated sampling. The results of the analysis indicate that work motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on organizational commitment, with a calculated t value (1.974) smaller than the t table (1.998) and a significance value of 0.053 greater than 0.05. Conversely, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, with a calculated t value (3.182) greater than the t table (1.998) and a significance value of 0.002 smaller than 0.05. These findings indicate that although work motivation does not have a significant effect on organizational commitment, job satisfaction has a strong positive effect. This study is expected to provide insight for companies to improve organizational commitment through increasing employee job satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of bureaucratic simplification on employee performance with job satisfaction and career development as intervening variables at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jawa Timur Province. The research method is applied with a quantitative approach through Structural Equation Modeling analysis. The population in the study was the team leader at the Central Statistics Agency throughout Jawa Timur with a sample of 217 employees. Primary data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire distributed to respondents. The results of the study concluded that bureaucratic simplification has been implemented within the scope of the BPS of Jawa Timur Province but has not provided an optimal performance impact and requires further adjustments to achieve the expected results. Bureaucratic simplification has a major impact on employee performance through the level of job satisfaction. Bureaucratic simplification has the potential to improve performance through career development, but still requires a number of improvements in its implementation, especially in terms of socialization and improvement of the mutation or job rotation system.

Abstract

This study investigates the determinants of public intention to participate in digital waqf through the lens of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), with trust in the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) serving as a moderating variable. The analysis explores four key factors: attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and trust in digital waqf management institutions. A quantitative approach employing Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 200 Muslim respondents in North Sumatra Province. The findings indicate that attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and trust significantly and positively influence the intention to engage in digital waqf. Moreover, trust was found to moderate the relationships between attitude and intention, as well as perceived behavioral control and intention, but not between subjective norms and intention. These results underscore the pivotal role of trust, alongside psychological factors, in strengthening public willingness to contribute to digital waqf. The study’s implications highlight the need to enhance digital waqf literacy, ensure transparent governance, and reinforce BWI’s role in fostering public trust. Such measures are expected to boost community participation in digital waqf, particularly in North Sumatra, thereby advancing Islamic philanthropy and the Islamic economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Many students struggle with reading, and their skills have declined significantly due to learning loss observed in schools. Students find it difficult to comprehend text, lose focus, and show decreased motivation. Meanwhile, reading skills are crucial for students as they serve as the foundation of 21st-century competencies and support learning across all subjects. This condition demands learning innovations that not only train reading speed but also enhance motivation through interactive approaches. The objectives of study are : (1) to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with gamification for improving the speed reading skills of fifth-grade elementary students in the from of a teacher’s guidebook that is feasible for used, and (2) to test the validity of the model. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE model and was conducted at SDN 1 Gading Kembar, SDN 3 Asrikaton, and SDN 3 Saptorenggo. Research instruments included expert validation, implementation observation, students' response questionnaires, and speed reading tests. The results showed that expert validation reached 87.25% (very valid), model implementation achieved 93% (vary practical), and effectiveness was indicated by an increase in reading speed from 121 words per minute (wpm) to 185 wpm with an N-Gain of 0.52 (moderated). The study concludes that the gamified PBL model is effective in improving both students’ speed reading skills and their motivation. This is supported by gamification elements (points, levels, challenges, leaderboards) and the PBL syntax, which foster collaboration, problem-solving, and active learning engagement.

Abstract

The food security program at the Class IIA Pancur Batu Penitentiary is a national strategic initiative aimed at encouraging inmate independence and supporting food self-sufficiency policies. This study uses the Actor-Network Theory (ANT) framework to identify the human and non-human actors involved and analyze the interconnectedness of the actor network in the program's implementation. The results indicate the formation of a hybrid network involving the Head of the Penitentiary, Head of the Activity Section, inmates, the Directorate General of Corrections, community leaders, the Department of Agriculture, the Prison Cooperative, as well as regulations, land, budget, and seeds. Key obstacles such as limited land and budget were successfully overcome through the role of a third party providing land grants and the Prison Cooperative as operational funding support. Inmates are motivated by premium and remission incentives, and the program's success depends on the solidity of the collaborative network that is able to mobilize resources innovatively. This collaborative model has the potential to be replicated by strengthening formal partnerships and developing a sustainable financial model.
