Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and describe the level of motivation, self-efficacy, and self-regulation of students memorising the Koran at Al-Bahjah Islamic boarding school Karangrejo Tulungagung, as well as to investigate the effect of motivation and self-regulation on self-regulated students memorising the Koran at Al-Bahjah Islamic boarding school Karangrejo Tulungagung. This study is a correlational study since it sought to determine the relationship between three factors, namely motivation, self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning, in Islamic boarding school pupils at al-Bahjah Karangrejo Tulungagung, East Java. According to the findings of this study, Santri memorising the Qur'an at Islamic boarding school al-Bahjah 3 Tulungagung had a high category of memorising motivation of 34% (17 people), a moderate category of 54% (27 people), and a low category of 13%. (6 people). Santri memorizers at al-Bahjah 3 Tulungagung Islamic boarding school with a high self-efficacy category of 10% (5 people), moderate self-efficacy category of 82% (41 people), and low self-efficacy category of 8% (4 people). Santri memorizers at Tulungagung's al-Bahjah Islamic boarding school have a high self-regulation category of 16% (8 people), a moderate category of 82% (41 people), and a low category of 2%. (1 person). There are numerous contributing aspects, like pesantren laws and memorising targets that students must own. There are several restrictions at Al-Bahjah Islamic Boarding School, as well as schedules and goals for memorising the Quran. Under this circumstance, pupils lack flexibility in managing themselves in order to reach the intended goals of memorising the Qur'an.

Abstract

Teacher Education training has played a central role in the training of individuals, who are responsible for impacting knowledge, behavior, attitude, and skills, in order to ensure better productivity and efficiency in the society. The main objectives of this study are to identify preservice teachers’ needs and what component of teaching knowledge they require? How could we satisfied their needs? And how do we ensure their needs are adequately provided for effective classroom instruction? The finding of this study has shown that the inability of many teacher education training in satisfying preservice teachers needs has made it difficult for them to possess the require subject matter knowledge and skills for effective classroom instruction. The study has identify two preservice teachers’ needs (i.e. learning needs and teaching needs). The need are further categorized into cognitive needs, emotional needs and physical needs. Therefore, it is pertinent for the training to bridge the gap between the current practice in the training and the desired practice in order to groom competent school teachers and achieve the set objective of the training. It is recommended that the training should examine relevant strategies adopted in the training, and adjusted to current realities of needs of the preservice teachers to ensure that the training is appropriately managed to achieve the set objectives of the training Keyword: Preservice teachers; teaching needs; competent school teachers

Abstract

Despite the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, the time during which it occurred is critical to discuss. It has impacted face-to-face learning problematic for students in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program. There are a number of studies that have been conducted to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic, both for the purposes of providing information to the community and in the field of education. However, research and writing related to the problems of post-COVID-19 face-to-face learning are still very limited. Through library studies and intensive field research from various literature and field facts, this study seeks to explain how the problems of face-to-face learning post-COVID-19 affect Islamic education courses and the Islamic religious education study program, FTIK UIN Datokarama Palu. The results of this study indicate that the problems of face-to-face learning after COVID-19 have appeared in the face-to-face learning process and have had an unfavorable influence on the behavior of entering lecture halls and students' reasoning power, both in the form of discussions and question and answer sessions, including in facing the Midterm Examination and end of semester exams. The conclusion is that problems in learning can be solved by lecturers using various learning strategies, both methods and strategies. This research still has limitations, namely only focusing on the Department of Islamic Religious Education, so it is still hoped that in the future there will be other studies that examine UIN Datokarama Palu in full.

Abstract

Religious education in schools is expected to have a significant impact on the development of students' religious and social character so as to prevent them from immoral social behavior. This research tries to identify extracurricular activities that help improve the social and religious character of students. This research uses qualitative methodologies, with in-depth interviews providing as data collecting technique. The data were subsequently analysed utilising triangulation techniques by modifying existing theories. According to the findings of this study, the school offers an Islamic tarbiyah programme as an extracurricular activity from Saturday through Sunday. Every day, a programme called tawjihat murabbiyat is used to control Islamic tarbiyah activities. In addition to extracurricular activities, the improvement of students' religious and social character is accomplished by the incorporation of religious principles into subject matter and the entrenching of appropriate behaviour in school culture. Developing social character involves working on a variety of skills, including discipline, respect for others, serving both parents, tolerance, humility, and caring for others and the environment. Concerning the religious attitudes fostered by the program, such as the practise of congregational prayer, the wearing of the veil, and become a Mutamayyiz Muslims.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the social cognitive abilities developed by Bandura through art learning in early childhood. The research method uses action research developed by Lewin. Data collection techniques using observation sheets or observations. Data analysis techniques using t-test. The research sample of students was 30 children in group B. Cognitive abilities were not only developed by Piaget and Vygotsky, but also by Bandura. The cognitive theory developed by Bandura is known as social cognitive because it emphasizes more on the process of modeling and imitating to acquire knowledge. Early childhood cognitive development can be done through various methods and techniques as well as learning materials and resources. Art ability is developed in every curriculum in early childhood. The results showed that the end of the cycle obtained data t-count 3.98> t-table 1.697 at a significance level of 0.05. Thus it can be concluded that social cognitive abilities through art learning are effectively used. It is suggested, to improve social cognitive abilities can be done through art learning.

Abstract

Cultural diversity in a multicultural society owned by Indonesia does not escape the values of tolerance. The application of the value of tolerance not only respects and respects differences in beliefs, customs, cultures, languages, etc., but must also be balanced with an open and airy attitude in order to create a sense of security and comfort to others by showing diversity in attitude, customs, culture, and religion. Each multicultural society has its own character education, just like the multicultural community in Kampung Jawa Denpasar-Bali. Character education will be stronger if there are implications of the value of tolerance for character education. This study aims to describe the early history of the establishment of this Javanese village so that it can exist until now, what values of tolerance are applied in the life of a multicultural society so that it can live in harmony side by side, and the relationship of the value of tolerance in the character education of multicultual communities in Kampung Jawa Denpasar-Bali. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. From this research, it can be concluded that there are implications for the value of tolerance for multicultural community character education in Kampung Jawa Denpasar-Bali, namely making it a society that has a sense of harmony between religious people, has a sense of social concern between religious people, and mutual respect and mutual respect between religious people.

Abstract

As the compulsory subject at the senior high school, English is used for transferring and develop their knowledge, skill, and attitudes in the areas of science, technology, and art. English is crucial for the student in order to help them to understand the oral and written text in detail. Eventually, teachers have to prepare a good strategy to complete the student need of English in the class. Then, the school has HOTS as the strategy for the students. However, students are required to seek additional learning outside of school in order to enhance their learning in school. For this reason, Indonesian English course platform (Ruangguru) becomes the medium to optimize student’ HOTS. This quantitative research discussed 84 students of SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong. In obtaining the data, the eighty-four students of XII grade in academic year 2020/2021 were given a set of questionnaires to get the data whether Ruangguru can optimize students’ HOTS in learning English. The researcher collected the data, then determined the frequency and percentage of the students' responses. According to this study's findings, Indonesian English course platform (Ruangguru) can be a medium to optimize students’ HOTS beside learning English in the classroom. Based on three indicators that is provided by researcher, those are: Analyzing (71.83%), Evaluating (72.26%), and Creating (72.85%). Based on the result, Indonesian English course platform (Ruangguru) helps students to optimize students’ Higher Order Thinking in learning English

Abstract

This study aims to determine the supporting factors for the implementation of extracurricular PMR in strengthening student civic responsibility at SMAN 2 Sukoharjo. This study was conducted for 5 months using a qualitative descriptive method, namely by emphasizing facts in the field and giving a clear picture. Data collection using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was collected during and after data collection, namely including data reduction and presentation. The results of this study are factors that support the implementation of extracurricular PMR in strengthening civic responsibility in students with school support, involvement of teachers and coaches in PMR activities, qualified trainers and coaches, and resources. This is a supporter of PMR extracurricular activities in strengthening civic responsibility for students at SMAN 2 Sukoharjo.

Abstract

Evaluasi terhadap kurikulum yang dilaksanakan pada setiap sekolah sangat perlu untuk perkembangan pendidikan. Proses evaluasi program kurikulum merdeka bertujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa efektif pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan evaluasi CIPP. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru mata pelajaran sejarah, wakil kepala sekolah bagian kurikulum, wakil kepala sekolah bagian sarana prasarana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, dengan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di SMAN 2 Pandeglang diantaranya: Evaluasi konteks, sudah baik dan sudah sesuai dengan aturan pemerintah. Evaluasi input, sudah cukup dilihat dari perencanaan yang jelas dan mekanisme pembelajaran yang baik, namun sarana prasarana harus dibenahi. Evaluasi proses, persiapan guru sudah dan mekanisme pembelajaran sejarah dalam kurikulum merdeka sudah maksimal, namun terdapat pengurangan jam pelajaran sejarah. Evaluasi produk, hasil belajar sudah sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 2 Pandeglang sudah cukup baik dan layak, meskipun terdapat hal yang harus di benahi.

Abstract

Historical empathy is an aspect that is relevant to the student profile of Pancasila. The achievement of historical empathy can be a way to achieve a student profile of Pancasila. This study aims to: 1) analyze the correlation of students' historical empathy preferences with elements of the student profile of Pancasila; 2) formulate a historical empathy actualization model to achieve a student profile of Pancasila by referring to students' cognitive and affective preferences in learning history. This study uses a quantitative method to determine the correlation of historical empathy with elements of the student profile of Pancasila and a qualitative method to formulate interrelationships between components in the study and formulate a historical empathy actualization model to achieve a student profile of Pancasila. The results showed: 1) there was a significant correlation in the three aspects of empathy with the elements and sub-elements of the student profile of Pancasila; 2) based on students' cognitive and affective preferences in history learning, an actualization model can be formulated using two models, namely actualization that is relevant is the use of edutainment in history learning and project learning based on learning products.
