Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of school social climate and family support in shaping learning motivation and achievement of Madrasah Aliyah students. Employing a qualitative literature review method with content analysis, this research synthesizes academic literature to develop a conceptual understanding of how both factors influence student motivation and achievement. The findings reveal that school social climate contributes through positive teacher-student relationships, supportive peer interactions, perceptions of fairness, positive academic atmosphere, facility availability, student involvement in decision-making, physical and psychological safety, religious culture, principal leadership, parent involvement, extracurricular activities, and consistency between values and practice. Family support contributes through emotional support, appreciation, instrumental support, informational support, school involvement, realistic expectations, authoritative parenting, open communication, conducive home environment, family routines, support for interests and talents, spiritual value inculcation, involvement in future planning, and consistency with madrasah values. Optimal motivation and achievement are achieved when positive school social climate and strong family support exist simultaneously and reinforce each other. The study implies that efforts to enhance student motivation and achievement must address both school climate and family support in an integrated manner through strong school-family partnerships.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the effectiveness of the use of interactive video-based learning media Edpuzzle in the subject of Accounting Basics. The population in this study involved all grade X students of the Accounting and Finance Department of SMKN 1 Sampit, with a research sample of 5 grade X AK1 students selected using saturated sampling techniques. Data collection was obtained based on learning outcome tests before and after the use of Edpuzzle (pretest and posttest). The data analysis technique used was a paired sample t-test to determine the average difference in student learning outcomes before and after treatment. Data analysis with a significance level of 5% (? = 0.05) has a 95% confidence interval. The analysis results prove that the average value of student learning outcomes after using Edpuzzle is higher than before using Edpuzzle, with an effectiveness score of 85%. The t-test results produce a calculated t score > t table. Thus, it can be confirmed that there is a drastic change in the educational achievement of the subjects before compared to after the treatment of using Edpuzzle media. The 95% confidence interval shows that the increase in learning outcomes is in the range of 80%–90%, which indicates that the use of Edpuzzle has a positive and consistent impact on student understanding. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Edpuzzle-based learning media is successfully applied in learning Accounting Basics because it is able to optimize learning outcomes, engagement, and student motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of authoritative parenting and analyze its influence on the independence of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD KB Mathla’ul Huda Ambarawa. Authoritative parenting is an approach that balances warmth, communication, and rational control to optimally support children’s character development. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method involving teachers, the principal, and students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and validated through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that authoritative parenting is implemented through responsibility habituation, providing children with opportunities to choose activities, two-way communication, and firm yet warm rule enforcement. This implementation positively affects children’s independence, as reflected in their ability to perform daily tasks independently, show self-confidence, discipline, and interact socially. Therefore, authoritative parenting is considered effective in fostering independence and character building in early childhood education

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) techniques on the learning outcomes in economics for vocational high school (SMK) students. This research is based on the low level of student engagement in economics learning, which is still dominated by conventional methods, which impacts learning outcomes. The method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design in two groups: an experimental class using PBL and a control class using conventional learning. The subjects of the study were 10th-grade students of the Economics and Business program at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Besi. Data were collected through learning achievement tests before and after treatment, then analyzed using the Independent Samples Test. The results of the analysis showed that the average student learning outcome in the PBL class was 81, while in the non-PBL class it was 82. The hypothesis test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.231, which is greater than 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. However, the application of the PBL model is able to increase student activity, cooperation, and critical thinking skills in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a barcode-based digital attendance system to improve the efficiency and accuracy of student attendance management at Muhammadiyah University of Bogor Raya. This system is expected to address the problems encountered in the manual attendance process, which relies on one-by-one clicks in SIAKAD. The research method used was an experimental design with a quantitative approach, with data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and direct observation. The main findings of the study indicate that the barcode-based attendance system speeds up the attendance process, from 10-15 minutes using SIAKAD to just 2-3 minutes. Furthermore, 60% of lecturers reported improved attendance recording accuracy, and 80% of administrators felt the system reduced data processing time. This study also showed that the barcode-based system reduces reliance on paper, making it more environmentally friendly. Overall, these findings indicate that the barcode-based attendance system makes a significant contribution to improving administrative efficiency at the university. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of attendance systems at other universities with similar goals.

Abstract

Learning mathematics may seem boring and difficult for some, but for many, it's a knowledge that can provide solutions and significantly assist people in achieving their dreams. For example, becoming proficient in mathematics can help others gradually develop a love for learning mathematics. Mathematics is a highly abstract subject, so it's true that some people are somewhat allergic and fearful of the word, as it seems to them a threat that disrupts their lives, with numbers and formulas that are so difficult to absorb. However, it's important to realize that understanding mathematics is actually quite fascinating, as it can be done through very simple and inexpensive tools. One such tool is "OMTIM," or "Sago Vein Leaf" in Indonesian.Sago Vein Leaf is a naturally occurring plant whose fruit is often used as a staple food by the people of Papua and surrounding areas. Sago fruit can be processed into a traditional Papuan dish called "PAPEDA." Research has shown that using sago leaf veins can help students understand number operations, including addition (+), subtraction (-), multiplication (*), and division (÷). The results indicate that using sago leaf veins makes it easier for students to understand and operate based on the rules, functions, and formulas of number operations.

Abstract

The problem of student morality at the senior high school level remains a challenge in educational practice, reflected in low discipline, reduced respect for teachers, and the emergence of aggressive behavior in the school environment. This phenomenon indicates that the construction of student morality is not only determined by the learning process in the classroom, but is also influenced by the condition of the school environment and the competence of teachers as role models. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the school environment and the competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers to the process of forming student morality. The study used a qualitative approach with a literature study design through a critical review of articles, scientific journals, and various relevant academic references. The results of the study indicate that a conducive, orderly, and religious school environment contributes to forming positive behavioral habits through a culture of discipline, religious activities, and harmonious social interactions. On the other hand, the personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers, especially in the aspects of exemplary behavior, moral integrity, and discipline, also makes an important contribution to the process of internalizing students' moral values. This finding confirms that the formation of students' morals requires synergy between a supportive school environment and mature teacher competence, so that character education strategies need to be developed holistically and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to describe variations in expressive speech acts based on age in buying and selling transactions at Labuapi Market, West Lombok. The approach used is qualitative descriptive, with a focus on pragmatic analysis. The research data consists of utterances between sellers and buyers containing expressive speech acts, collected through observation, recording, transcription, and interviews. The research subjects were grouped into three age categories: youth, adults, and the elderly. The results indicate that various forms of expressive speech acts-such as praise, complaints, expressions of gratitude, apologies, and criticism-are used in buying and selling interactions. The variation in the use of expressive speech acts is influenced by age, as the youth group tends to use language that is more spontaneous, informal, and expressive. The adult age group demonstrated a more balanced use of language between expression and politeness, while the elderly age group placed greater emphasis on politeness and formality in speech. However, age is not the sole determinant, as situational context, communication goals, and social roles also influence the use of expressive speech acts. This study contributes to the field of pragmatics, particularly in understanding language variation within the context of social interaction in traditional markets.
