Abstract

Based on direct observations made at Pandan Sari Market lifting weights without tools and lifting loads exceeding the threshold value, it is necessary to write this paper to help educate the dangers of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) as a Work Safety Program in the form of control. This study aims to determine the level of risk of musculoskeletal complaints in manual lifting activities using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) method and to determine the level of risk of work posture on musculoskeletal complaints to workers using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method. The author uses the NBM questionnaire for cases of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints against workers and uses the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method to assess body posture at work. The results of the discussion show that there is a discrepancy in the level of risk of high work posture and low level of risk of MSDs, although the results of the level of risk of MSDs are low, workers experience MSDs. Based on the REBA method, the risk level of the work posture is predominantly high, which means immediate action is needed and the Nordic Body Map (NBM) method test, it is concluded that the risk level for MSDs complaints is at a moderate risk level, which means that action may be needed in the future.

Abstract

A sound psychological condition can indirectly impact how successfully and continuously the business's operations continue. System failures in a business can be caused by psychological issues, particularly stress, which lowers productivity. In order to better understand this relationship, a study was done on the employees of PT Astra Rekayasa Unggul Balikpapan. A sample is used as the research methodology in this case. This sampling approach uses total sampling to represent the 32 warehouse staff members at PT. Astra Rekyasa Unggul in this investigation. Between July and September 2020, morning and evening work shifts will be performed utilizing the DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales) Measurement Tool Questionnaire. is divided into three categories: minor, medium, and major stress. According to the findings, out the 32 13 employees of PT. Astra Rekayasa Unggul who reported light stress fell into the moderate stress category, making up 81.25% of the total, with just 6 employees (37.5%) falling into the high stress category. The findings of the linear regression test showed that there is a significant correlation between work shifts and job stress on employees of PT Astra Rekayasa Unggul Balikpapan, with a probability lower than the significance level of 0.05. According to research's findings, efforts must be taken to lessen job stress caused by the effect of working shifts, specifically by tightening restrictions or dividing shifts.

Abstract

PT Unilever is a business that uses computers in its daily operations. At PT Unilever Balikpapan, computers are used in every department. 90% of employees use computers as work aids in public services, shipping, goods, engineering, and finance departments. Rapid Office Strain Assessment is an ergonomics assessment method for office and computer-related or administrative work. Rapid Office Strain Assessment is one of the office ergonomics techniques used to analyze the risks of computer use and decide what level of adjustment measures to take in response to reports of pain. ROSA observations are used to evaluate ergonomic risks in office workers, which can lead to musculoskeletal disorders. By using the Rapid Office Strain Evaluation approach, the assessment is carried out by looking at the employee's work posture. a picture of a worker to be measured. ROSA is a useful tool and one of the easiest methods to assess several risk factors associated with complaints in the form of work-related injuries to muscles, tendons, and body structures. Risk factors from computer use are divided into chairs, monitors, telephones, keyboards, and mice. The method for assessing ROSA is by assessing an increase of 1–3 for each work factor risk. The final result of the ROSA assessment will be a value ranging from 1 to 10. If the final value obtained is greater than 5, then the work is considered risky. In addition, the duration of work time is also considered. The Nordic Body Map assessment of musculoskeletal disorders begins with the identification of workers' complaints using the SNQ, which can identify the part of the muscle that has caused the complaints. Keywords: Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA), Muscoceletal Disorder, NBM

Abstract

Warehousing or warehouse is a very important part to support the smooth operation of the upstream oil and gas industry. Work accident is one of the risks that can cause operational disruptions in the warehouse and can cause delays in the process of supplying and delivering tools and materials needed for oil and gas production activities. More than 145,000 people work in 7,000 warehouses, where the fatal injury rate for warehousing is higher than the average for all industries (OSHA, 2004). Therefore companies are required to have a system that regulates hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control or commonly known as Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC). Currently, PT Borneo Mitra Bersama currently has a project at PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, namely the Warehouse Support Project. Based on PT BMB's preliminary observations there has been no HIRARC implementation related to the project's operational activities, while the project has a high risk value based on the tender documents. In this study using a qualitative approach. The study design in the research used was based on the ISO 31000: 2018 standard with a semi-quantitative risk analysis technique, by taking informants using a purposive sampling technique, totaling 6 people. The research results show that the risk assessment in PT Borneo Mitra Bersama's warehousing operations has 33 risks identified with the results of the risk evaluation level obtained at the initial risk, namely 6 (18.18%) risk priority level 3, 34 (72.72%) substantial level risk and 11 (33.33%) very high level risk, while the risk evaluation results obtained for residual risk are 24 (9.09%) acceptable level risk and 9 (27.27%) priority 3 or tolerable level risk risk.

Abstract

Final Processing Site (TPA) is a place that processes and returns waste to environmental media. Throughout 2021, the average daily waste volume will reach 390.65 tonnes. There are seven landfill zones in Manggar, zones 1 to 4 have been planted with vegetation and are being used as buffer zones, zone 5 has just been closed, zone 6 is currently receiving waste, and zone 7 is a waiting zone. Reforestation of TPA land is needed for several purposes including improving environmental aesthetics, as a buffer zone to prevent excessive odors and flies. The research objective was to determine the condition of the case study green buffer zone at the final waste processing site in Manggar City of Balikpapan. This research was conducted by observing the green buffer zone in the form of green belt thickness and plant species, interviewing employees and the local community about odor and noise disturbances from Final Processing Site (TPA) activities. Based on the results of observations of the buffer zone, from 34 observation points there are 23 observation points with a green belt thickness of less than 100 meters, but if it refers to the regulations regarding Green Open Space (RTH), the TPA area is 49.89 ha with an open area of 7.7 ha. then TPA still has green open space of 42.19 ha (according to the minimum green open space regulations of 30% of the landfill area which is 14.967 ha). Based on the results of interviews and observations of secondary air quality data (chemical parameters that give rise to an unpleasant odor) and noise analyzed in the TPA area and in the local residential area, it shows that there have been no complaints from the local community about the smell and noise from TPA activities, the results of secondary data analysis air quality and noise also show values that are still below the quality standards.

Abstract

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) is a method for determining and assigning hazards based on their probability, frequency and severity and evaluating their adverse consequences, including potential loss and injury. Work processes in industry must pay a lot of attention to environmental health and safety aspects in order to support industrial effectiveness. The industry must identify the hazard, assess its associated risks to tolerate a sustainable level, the risk assessment has been made using risk guidelines and standards. Control efforts must be systematic and comprehensive in a management that is integrated into the occupational safety and health program. In accordance with Government Regulation no. 50 of 2012 concerning the Occupational Health and Safety Management System article 11 which requires hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control to meet K3 requirements. CV Borneo Asri Rekatama Balikpapan is a company engaged in the distribution of clean water for PT HER housing in Balikpapan city where the hazards in the work environment of the clean water treatment area are in the form of physical hazards, biological hazards, chemical hazards, ergonomic hazards, and psychosocial hazards. The approach used is a qualitative research method. Data collection uses field research methods, interviews and observations, where the data is obtained by describing a list of questions that are quite detailed and complete about the object studied to the respondents. The results and discussion of the research, namely, in the process of operating the WTP is an activity that has a high risk and from the operational process activities of the WTP there are 8 risks that arise based on ISO 31000. After conducting an assessment, it is found that out of the 8 risks that appear 6 risks with a high risk level, 2 risk with a medium risk level of risk. After the risk has been handled with the OHSAS 18001 hierarchy of control, an assessment is carried out again on the remaining risks from control with the results of research on 8 risks down to 6 risks with a medium risk level and 2 risks with a low risk level.

Abstract

Rotation machines are one of the driving machines that are widely used in industrial factories because they are strong, reliable, easy to maintain and efficient. Installation of the machine with other equipment requires accuracy so that the axis between the two is truly an axis of "alignment". The importance of accurate alignment of the machine is the main reason for conducting this research, repairs that occur in the machine that require a shift between the motor and fan from their initial position need to be aligned. The method used is a rim and face dial indicator, measuring the axle on the face and rim hub that does not move and measuring the soft foot that occurs on the motor and aerator legs and measuring run out of the clutch at positions 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°. After getting the results of pre-alignment measurements and calculations, the HPFB A position of the aerator must be added with a shim for IB of 1,4 mm and OB of 1,99 mm. To shift the aerator the IB leg needs to be shifted to the left by 0,5 mm and the OB leg is shifted to the right by 1,1 mm. HPFB B aerator position must be added by shim for IB of 1,26 mm and OB of 1,86 mm. To shift the aerator, the IB leg needs to be shifted to the left by 0,45 mm and the OB leg is shifted to the right by 0,96 mm. HPFB C aerator position must be added with shim for IB of 1,4 mm and OB of 1,99 mm. To shift the aerator, the IB foot needs to be shifted to the left by 0,6 mm and the OB leg is shifted to the right by 1 mm.
