Abstract

This particular research was intended to reveal any significant effect of using Facebook in improving students’ writing skill and to what extent Facebook contributed to the development of students’ writing skill. Besides that, this research also tried to know how the students respond toward the use of Facebook in teaching writing. This research was experimental research in which the researcher employed the two groups design where the control and experimental group were given pre-test before treatment and post-test after the different treatment that has been given. The population of this research was all the second-grade students of SMAN 1 Btukliang Utara in academic year 2025/2026 while the sample for this research was taken using cluster random sampling technique, then taken XI IPA 5 as the control group and XI IPA 6 as the experimental group.  The data collection was done through test and questionnaire. The mean score of control class (MX= 19.18 > MY = 8) then further analyzed using t-test, found that t count > t table, where t-count = 2.90 and t-table = 1.99 at 5% level of significant and according to the existing criteria that the differences between control group and experimental group were significant. And referring to the mean score, it was also found that the experimental class, which was taught using Facebook had the better ability in writing than the students in control class which were taught using traditional media. In other words, Facebook can significantly improve the students’ writing skill. Data about the students’ response were analyzed using Mi (ideal mean) and ISD (ideal standard deviation) formulas with five scales conversion guide. The questionnaire data analysis found that most of the students responded the use of Facebook in teaching English writing at the level “very good”. In other words, Facebook can increase students’ motivation and the potential of Facebook to be utilized in English class especially writing class.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze how the implementation of the Free Nutritious Food (MBG) program in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions in urban areas of Makassar reflects the process of social reproduction. Using Pierre Bourdieu’s theoretical framework of habitus, capital, and field, this article examines how practices and policies within the MBG program contribute to the perpetuation of social structures and class differences in society. The study adopts a conceptual–analytical approach, employing qualitative methods based on literature review and sociocultural analysis of the Makassar community context. The findings indicate that the MBG program functions not only as a child health policy but also as a symbolic arena that reinforces disparities in social, cultural, and economic capital among different social groups. Family habitus, perceptions of nutrition, and the ways educational institutions interpret policy collectively shape patterns of social reproduction within the urban context of Makassar. This article highlights the importance of a sociological approach in formulating child nutrition policies to foster more equitable social transformation..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using interactive learning media based on wordwall in increasing the learning motivation of junior high school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (non-equivalent control group design) with a quantitative approach. The population is all 30 students in grade VII. The sample used is grade VII students consisting of two classes, namely class VII A as an experimental class consisting of 15 people and class VII B as a control class consisting of 15 people. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The data collection techniques consist of questionnaires, observation and documentation. As well as data analysis using prerequisite tests namely normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (t test). Data were obtained through pretest and posttest questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that student learning motivation in the experimental class after the use of wordwall media was 14 students or 94% who had very high motivation criteria and 1 student or 6% who had high motivation criteria. Meanwhile, in the control class that used picture media, there were 5 students or 33% who had very high motivation criteria and 10 students or 67% who had high motivation criteria. After that, the average value of the pretest questionnaire in the experimental class was 69.47 and the control class was 59.73. While the results of the posttest questionnaire showed an average of 89.73 for the experimental class and 80.40 for the control class. Based on the results of the posttest questionnaire in the experimental and control classes, it can be seen that the value of the experimental class questionnaire is greater than the value of the questionnaire in the control class, namely 89.73>80.40. So it can be concluded that the use of interactive learning media based on wordwall is more effective in increasing student learning motivation and can be shown from the results of the t-test which obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05 which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of resistance band training on increasing top spin power in table tennis among PTM Mantang athletes in 2025. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. Twenty athletes were sampled using a total sampling technique. The instrument used was a medicine ball throw test from a seated position, modified to resemble a top spin movement. Each athlete was given three attempts during the pretest and posttest, and the highest score was used in the analysis. Normality testing was performed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, and the results showed that the data were normally distributed. Therefore, analysis continued using a paired sample t-test. The test results showed a mean difference of -0.26000 with a t-value of -9.776 and a significance value of p=0.001 (p<0.005). This indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. Thus, resistance band training has been shown to have a significant effect on increasing top spin power in PTM Mantang table tennis athletes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get reliable information regarding the impact of social rewards and attitudes on the well-being of children aged four to five years old who are enrolled in the TK Adhyaksa 23 Mataram. "Kemandirian anak usia dini" refers to the ability of the child to carry out daily activities and tasks in a completely independent manner or with a small amount of assistance, depending on the circumstances of the child's development. This research makes use of the quantitative approach in conjunction with the experimental methodology. Twenty children between the ages of four and five years old were the subjects of the study. In order to collect data, an observation was carried out using an instrument for determining the age of the child, which has previously been evaluated for its validity and reliability. The analysis of the data is performed using the independent sample t-test (uji t). According to the findings of the research, there are significant benefits that may be derived from the exchange of social rewards and the acquisition of knowledge on the well-being of children of both genders. The value of t is 0.777, and the significance level (two-tailed) is 0.443, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. According to this, the pemberian reward social and the pengakuan terbukti have the ability to increase the kemandirian of kids between the ages of four and five. It is hoped that the findings of this research will serve as a guide for teachers and other individuals in the process of formulating educational strategies that address the needs of children as soon as they are born.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of providing sport massage on physical fitness in UKM Teqball IPNG athletes in 2024/2025. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive design with one group pretest-posttest without a control group. The sample in this study were 10 athletes from the IPNG Teqball UKM who were selected based on certain criteria. The instrument used to measure physical fitness was a fitness test conducted before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests to ensure the feasibility of the parametric test. The results of the homogeneity test showed that the data had the same variance, with a significance value of 0.104 greater than 0.05. Furthermore, a Paired Sample T-Test was used to see the difference in pretest and post-test scores. The results of the analysis showed an average difference of -10.7400, and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001. This value is smaller than 0.05, thus indicating a significant effect between the administration of sport massage on the physical fitness of athletes. Based on these results, it can be concluded that sport massage can be used as an effective recovery method to improve the overall physical condition of athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the interest of students at Yapis Timika Middle School through Modifying Volleyball Games in Learning in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The population of this study was all 35 students of class VIII A and 25 students of class VIII B at Yapis Timika Middle School, totaling60 people. This research uses the classroom action research method (classroom action research) with a test questionnaire technique, which consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The data source in this study was the eighth grade students of SMP Yapis Timika in the 2023/2024 academic year which were divided into two classes, namely VIII A and VIII B. The instrument used for data collection in this study was an observation sheet in the form of a student interest test questionnaire in PJOK learning modification of volleyball games. The problem in this study is whether the modification of volleyball games in learning can increase the interest of students at SMP Yapis Timika. The results of the study showed that the modification of volleyball games in physical education to increase student interest in the 2023/2024 academic year. Student learning interest increased from 45.66 in the initial conditions to 56.93 in the first cycle and increased to 80.2 at the end of the cycleII. Student learning outcomes increased from 11.27 in the initial conditions to 23.27 in cycle I and increased to 34.54 at the end of cycle II. The conclusion is that the modification of the volleyball game can increase the interest of students at Yapis Timika Middle School in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Based on the research results, the suggestion put forward is that the modification of the volleyball game can be implemented and developed in the physical education and health learning process at school.
