Abstract

The complications of diabetes mellitus (DM) is diabetic ulcers. The principles of Preparation of the wound (3 M principles) are cleansing, removing necrotic tissue in the wound, choosing the right topical therapy. The aim of this community service to implementation research result about effectiveness of boiling guava leaves as wound washing for diabetic clients. The community service method was wound care diabetic training through guava leaves boil. The program have done as long as a week which the participant were diabetic client in Sidangkal public health center. Before doing community service, the client experienced on caring wound diabetic was used Na-CL, closed wound with cotton, washed every day, and used insulin as preventive diabetic complication. The result of training, the participant said the information about guava leaves boil was new information for them. And all participant also given positive response for this training. And the lead of public health center also said this program improve the knowledge of clients about caring wound diabetic foot.

Abstract

Just like other sectors in society, The COVID-19 pandemic also affects the sports sector, especially athletes. Toward the provincial sports week of West Java, futsal athletes from various sub-districts in Tasikmalaya City carried out joint training activities. However, several problems were detected in these joint training activities, including short duration of training each day due to PPKM (public activity restrictions) regulations, decreased motivation of athletes for post-quarantine training and social restrictions, decreased frequency of physical activity and fitness levels, and the lack of athletes' performance during the training. Responding to these problems, the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of Tasikmalaya City had a courtesy visit to UPI Tasikmalaya Campus. Both parties agreed to organize training activities with a practical and motivational approach, through the application of self-management techniques rooted in behavioral therapy. This training activity aims at helping athletes to manage physical activity schedules to improve their fitness and performance. The training activities were carried out for 48 hours online and offline. A series of training activities could be carried out properly and resulted in outputs in the form of (1) a paper presented in a scientific forum; (2) Publication of a scientific article in community service journals with ISSN; (3) publication in mass media; (4) other science and technology outputs; and (5) Innovation Products in the form of guidelines for the implementation of training activities.

Abstract

This community service activity is parts of economic empowerment and improves entrepreneurial spirit efforts to elementary up to high school students in ‘Aisyiyah organization in Pekanbaru. The objective of this activity is all students who lives in ‘Aisyiyah Girls Orphanage in Riau during spare time to vegetable farming by using verticulture method to fulfill their needs and economic empowerment. This activity was held on Sunday,September 19th 2021 at ‘Aisyiyah Girls Orphanage’s function hall for socializing cultivation by using verticulture method and improving entrepreneurial spirit. Furthermore, practicing the cultivation skill was held in the orphanage yard. The students were enthusiastic by the activity which shows by their enthusiasm during the activity. The community service is hopefully could improve students’ motivation to improve economy despite of the lack of yard and grow the entrepreneurial spirit.

Abstract

This seminar and training is intended to provide an understanding of the benefits of financial technology in helping people to access finance globally. By providing an understanding of the benefits and functions of existing financial technology, individuals or business actors can manage well and completely planned. It will be easy to plan cash flow that occurs in business units and for future purposes. With the seminar approach given directly to the community, it is expected that there will be discussions and direct questions and questions about the impact of financial technology in human life in general, and financial goals in particular. As a result of the provision of seminars and also training on financial technology, people feel more ability to access financial technology and can implement their financial planning by using financial technology.

Abstract

The partner of this community service activity is SMP Muhammadiyah Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Analysis of the problems faced by partners includes the unavailability of Adolescent Counseling Information Centers in the school and the lack of information on adolescent reproductive health. The purpose of this community service activity is to establish a school PIK-R (Pusat Informasi Konseling Remaja) -Youth Counseling Information Center and to provide educators and peer counselors at SMP Muhammadiyah Banguntapan. School’s PIK-R as a guidance forum for teenagers to help them recognizing reproductive health early as a preventive and promotive effort so that it can prevent teenagers from falling into promiscuity. The solutions to the problems given are: 1) Establishing a School Youth Counseling Information Center; 2) Conducting training for school Youth Counseling Information Center administrators; 3) Conducting school Youth Counseling Information Center activities. The method of service was carried out through several stages, namely; The first stage was assessment; The second stage was Planning and development; The third stage was implementation, and the last stage was evaluation. The results of this activity obtained outputs 1) The establishment of a School Youth Counseling Information Center at SMP Muhammadiyah Banguntapan; 2) Availability of peer counselors; 3) One scientific article published in an accredited national journal 4) One article on online media 5) Activity video; 6) Media that obtained Intellectual Property Rights certificates and reports on community service activities. Conclusion. This community service activity went smoothly, and the planned output was achieved. This community service activity has a positive and beneficial impact for the SMP Muhammadiyah Banguntapan of Bantul Yogyakarta. Recommendations for further service activities can be done by refreshing peer counselors and collaborating with the Muhammadiyah Student Association.

Abstract

The existence of mangrove forests are ecologically important because it supports the food chain in the area by protecting the coast from strong winds, abrasion/erosion, and tsunamis. Besides the ecological benefits, mangroves are also economically beneficial. The economic function is as a producer of wood for raw materials, building materials, and food. Besides that, the biota that lives in the mangrove ecosystem also has economic value if processed properly. This service activity was carried out in the Tengkolak hamlet, Sukakerta Village, Cilamaya Wetan District, Karawang Regency, which is not very familiar with the use of mangrove fruit and natural products so that it has high economic value and improves community welfare. Through KUB, the activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of the community on how to process mangrove fruit and biota in the ecosystem into various products as an alternative for additional income. The people who take part in this activity are people who are members of the KUB Kreasi Alam Bahari. The method of carrying out the activities is through demonstrations and training on making coffee from mangrove trees and the Talang-talang fish product variant, which has been developed into skin chips, nuggets, and fish balls. The evaluation process was carried out by interviewing several residents to ask for information and impressions of the activities that had been carried out. The community, especially those who participated in the activity, felt the positive impact of these activities. Because they can increase their skills in processing mangrove fruit and processing Talang-talang fish that have higher economic value.

Abstract

Schools are part of a community unit consisting of students, teachers, principals, and other employees. Elementary students and teachers, as well as employees, will spend a lot of time at the school. Many problems can be helped to solve in schools, such as preventing sexual violence through underwear rules, monitoring growth and development, and disaster preparedness. All of these activities can be carried out in a series of community service activities at an elementary school (SD) in the city of Tasikmalaya. Community service activities are applications of research results conducted by lecturers at the Nursing Study Program, Department of Nursing, Poltekkes, Ministry of Health, Tasikmalaya. The method of activities carried out included the provision of health education about underwear rules, measuring the weight and height of elementary school children, and how to manage disaster mitigation in the Tasikmalaya area. The facilities and infrastructure used are laptops, in focus, body scales, height measurements, and disaster simulation tools. The results of the activity include an increase in the knowledge and skills of participants or elementary school children about underwear rules and disaster mitigation. Abstract

the Objective of the program of community service is To Empowering Karang Taruna Desa Cibiru Hilir In Building the Creative Economy Through Training on Hydroponics And Aquaponics. Weaknesses of teachers in making learning media makes the problem to be the solution sought. Hydroponics and aquaponics is one of the alternatives to build the creative economy of the community, so that it becomes the basis and the reason of rational team of researchers in taking steps to implement community service activities through training sistemhidroponik and aquaponics. Community service is performed by the method of the development of action research. Community service activities in his youth in the Village Cibiru Hilir, Kecamatan Cileunyi, Bandung Regency in accordance with the results of the response of the questionnaire the level of satisfaction of partners in the implementation of community service, which said that the partners respond to a positive response (90%) with the activity of this devotion.

Abstract

Community service as a step to socialize the Creative Economy through this Technopreneur Training involving Muhammadiyah teachers from elementary to middle and high levels in the Muhammaduyah Regional Leadership, Tasikmalaya City is intended that teachers can operate the businesses in their free time wiyh online businesses by utilizing HP or Laptop/PC technology devices. Making products for training participants can be as producers in the form of culinary, merchandise, etc., or as resellers or as affiliates of goods or services that are created in such a way as top products. The implementation of this training event was held on November 20, 2021 in the Auditorium of the University of Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya. Community Service Activities had done well, this can be measured from the level of participation during the training who had high enthusiasm and responsibility. This activity is expected to motivate Muhammadiyah teachers in order to improve the community's economy in their respective places or regions.

Abstract

Kuripan Village already has a Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), but it has not developed optimally. This is due to various factors, including the lack of understanding of the Village Apparatus regarding the importance of BUMDes and the unpreparedness of the village apparatus to manage and develop the BUMDes. Kuripan Village has abundant local resources such as agricultural land, plantations, livestock, fisheries, trade, and home industry. Commodities produced from Kuripan Village include tuber plants (cassava, etc.), cassava leaves, beef cattle, catfish, ornamental fish, rengginang, opaque and so on.
