Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA 1 materi Fotosintesis pada tumbuhan dalam bentuk m-learning berbasis Android untuk mahasiswa PGSD, serta mengetahui kualitas produk ini yang telah dihasilkan sehingga layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA 1. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan dua tahap, yaitu observasi dan metode Research and Development (R&D). Metode observasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas dan penggunaan smartphone mahasiswa saat di dalam kelas. Metode (R&D) atau penelitian dan pengembangan yang diadaptasi dari model pengembangan ADDIE digunakan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi m-learning. Aplikasi ini diujicobakan kepada 71 mahasiswa PGSD semester II FKIP UHAMKA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar Fotosintesis dalam bentuk m-learning berbasis Android yang telah dikembangakan berdasarkan ahli materi didapatkan skor persentasi sebesar 80,95% dengan kategori baik, selanjutnya hasil validasi oleh ahli media didapatkan skor persentase sebesar 77,94% dengan kategori baik. Uji coba dilakukan pada mahasiswa PGSD UHAMKA yang pertama pada kelas 2D didapatkan hasil kualitas media pembelajaran sebesar 90,54% dengan kategori sangat baik. Selanjutnya di kelas 2E didapatkan hasil kualitas media pembelajaran sebesar 94,73% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil perolehan data menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar Fotosintesis dalam bentuk m-learning berbasis Android layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar mahasiswa PGSD.

Abstract

Gagasan tentang keterampilan sosial sering diabaikan di sekolah dasar karena banyak guru berpikir bahwa prestasi belajar siswa lebih penting daripada pengembangan keterampilan. Artikel ini mencoba menjelaskan secara konseptual tentang keterampilan sosial dalam kaulinan huhuian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Enam guru sekolah dasar dari dua sekolah berbeda di Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia dipilih sebagai peserta. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi struktur dan observasi, Analisis data dengan menggunakan pendekatan landasan Temuan penelitian ini membahas aktivitas dan keterampilan sosial dalam kaulinan huhuian yang terdiri dari memutuskan siapa yang menjadi ucing, membuat formasi seperti hui (ubi jalar), menyanyikan kakawihan (lagu), dan dialog antara ucing dan huiand. Keterampilan sosial yang dapat dikembangkan adalah kejujuran, kebersamaan dan kemampuan berinteraksi dengan orang lain dan lingkungan sekitar. Temuan ini juga dapat memberikan solusi untuk menghasilkan proses pembelajaran baik model, strategi, teknik, yang mengembangkan keterampilan sosial pada siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the learning of model method for mathematical problem solving ability of elementary students. The design of the study is a pretest and posttest control of design group. The experimental group used learning of model methods and the control group used learning of conventional method. To obtain the data of the research result, the instrument used is in the form of mathematical problem solving ability test and the observation sheet. The population is the entire of the fifth grade of elementary school students throughout North Jakarta, with the sample of Tugu Utara Pagi 07 Elementary School for two classes which were chosen randomly. Data analysis is done quantitatively namely to the pretest data and normalized gain of mathematical problem-solving ability. This study is using the test of the difference of two populations. The result shows that the improvement of mathematical problem solving ability of the students who obtain the model method learning is better than the students who received the conventional method learning.

Abstract

This paper describes how the lyrics can be positioned as a poetry which can be applied by teachers in schools as a learning media of Indonesian language. The lyrics are sung poetry. This statement is the foundation that teachers can make the lyrics of famous songs as teaching material of language style and poetry in school. In this paper taken an example lyrics to a song called "Sahabat" by Peterpan. When we position the lyrics into a poetry, then the content contained therein can also be assessed using the approach in studying poetry such as searching for and analyzing the meaning of language style.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how an English teacher to apply a scientific approach according to the curriculum in 2013 for teaching writing on descriptive text. This study is a qualitative research. The subject in this study is an English teacher and junior high school students. The research data in this study is the behavior and statements of teachers and students during the learning process. The research data were collected through the techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Results from the study showed that English teachers have implemented learning experience in a scientific approach: to observe, ask, exploration, associate and communicate. Students' response to the application of a scientific approach is effective in observing phase, exploration, and communicate. While students in the response phase and associates ask is they cannot learn well because of the lack of creativity of teachers.

Abstract

Descriptive study about assessment literacy of primary school teachers conducted to determine the extent to which literacy assessment of elementary school teachers in Bengkulu. Surveys carried out on primary school teachers (n = 28) derived from 22 primary schools from five districts as the city of Bengkulu. Respondents were asked to complete the four questions are closed and five open questions regarding the level of assessment literacy, main purposes of assessment and use of various assessment techniques, the need for further training and recommends ways to improve the literacy assessment in higher education and on teaching practices (PPL). The teachers varying levels of literacy. Summative purpose still dominates as the purpose of assessment in learning, little is done for purposes of the opinion formative assessment (development) and diagnostics. They prefer using the technique of personal communication assessment and selection tests (limited respondents), but if there are training techniques in future assessments of their choosing assessment techniques of observation.

Abstract

Lesson Plan (RPP) is a very important tool for a teacher in the learning process. Teachers are required to be able to make a good lesson plan so the learning process does not get out of the purpose and content. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of RPP made by Jakarta teachers in accordance with the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP) of Indonesia. The study was in Elementary School, East Jakarta. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive. Data collected by documentation study by collecting the science lesson plan of Elementary School Teachers. The research instrument used in the form of grain analysis RPP component consisting of 10 components. One component using a score of 1-10, while nine other components using the rubric criteria/rubric score. The instrument made reference to the Law on National Education System and BSNP. The results of the description analysis revealed that most of Elementary School Teachers can design and develop the lesson plan (RPP) of science in accordance with Law No. 20 Article 3 of the National Education System and Government Regulation No. 20 about the Standard Assessment of Education (BSNP).

Abstract

The research aimed to know: (1) spatial distribution, distribution pattern and educational facilities reach, (2) the availability of educational facilities, (3) the function of availability of educational facilities at junior high school in Boyolali District. This research used descriptive research method. The population of the research is all junior high school in Boyolali District at 2011, the sampling technique is stratified random sampling. The technique of collecting data are documentation and observation. The technique of data analysis is map analysis and nearest neighbour analysis. The result shown: (1) junior high school spasial distribution mostly located in Boyolali Subdistrict and the least in Selo Subdistrict, the distribution pattern at mountainous topography is random, in the lowland topography also random, and there are 11.1% junior high schools are easy to reach, 81.1% junior high schools are quite easy to reach, and 7.7% junior high schools are difficult to reach; (2) The highest junior high school adequate is in Ampel Subdistrict, Boyolali Subdistrict, Sawit Subdistrict, Banyudono Subdistrict, Sambi Subdistrict, Simo Subdistrict, Karanggede Subdistrict, Klego Subdistrict, Andong Subdistrict, and Wonosegoro Subdistrict, and the least junior high school adequate is in Cepogo Subdistrict; (3) The subdistrict which number of schools are not enough they are: Selo, Cepogo, Musuk, Ngemplak, Nogosari, Kemusu, and Juwangi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in the average N-Gain mathematical reasoning skills between students who obtain math learning with realistic mathematics education approach and conventional approaches. This research method used is a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design which implemented in one of the 7th private junior high school in Tangerang. The instrument used is a valid test instrument namely pre-test and post-test with descriptive form. The reliability category of this instrument is high. The results showed that there are significant differences in the average N-Gain mathematical reasoning skills between students who take math learning with realistic mathematics education approach and conventional approaches. The average N-Gain mathematical reasoning skills students who receive math learning with realistic mathematics education approach higher than students who receive mathematics learning with conventional approach.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the application of open ended approach, to increase students’ critical thinking ability in mathematic problem solving. This research was conducted at SD Islam Terpadu Al-Khairaat Jakarta Timur, with 25 students as subject of the research. This is an action research using Kemmis and McTaggart’s model in two cycles. Each of the cycles consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The result shows the increase of students’ critical thinking ability in mathematic problem solving, by means of open ended approach. It was proved with the increase of students’ grade from 63.92% in the first cycle to 73.80% in the second cycle. The activity of teacher and student using open ended approach achieves mastery learning (100%) at the end of the cycle.
