Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation of the Self Directed Learning model in PAI education at SB Kamus Gombak Utara, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is a qualitative study that produces descriptive data obtained from observed individuals and behaviors. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research results, the implementation of the SDL learning model in PAI education at SB Kamus Gombak Utara is considered good, with students experiencing an increase in knowledge, independence, and responsibility towards themselves and their peers, thereby achieving success in PAI education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze grammatical interference from Indonesian in Arabic language theses written by students of the Arabic Language Education (PBA) program at Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari (UNHASY) Jombang. Interference occurs when Indonesian grammatical patterns influence the use of Arabic, leading to errors in sentence structure and the application of grammatical rules. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method to describe the forms of interference and map out common language errors. The data were collected from theses written by students from the 2020–2023 cohorts using a random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through the uninvolved conversational observation and note-taking technique, followed by in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that interference occurs at the syntactic and morphological levels, including errors in sentence structure, the use of particles and prepositions, and inaccuracies in selecting plural, singular, and verb forms. The primary factor causing this interference is the application of Indonesian grammatical patterns that do not align with Arabic rules. These findings serve as a basis for mapping linguistic errors and can be used as a reference to enhance Arabic language teaching strategies. With a better understanding of interference patterns, it is hoped that lecturers and educators can develop more contextual and effective teaching materials. This study is expected to contribute to improving the linguistic competence of PBA students in writing academic texts in Arabic. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the school principal’s visionary leadership and work motivation on teacher’s job satisfaction, as well as to examine the effect of the school principal’s visionary leadership on work motivation at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. The research employs a quantitative approach with data analysis techniques Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 3.0 software. This study is a survey research. The population consists of 40 teachers at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi, and the sample includes the entire population of 40 teachers. The study results indicate that: (1) There is a positive but not significant effect of the school principal’s visionary leadership on teacher’s job satisfaction, with p-value > 0.05, specifically 0.513, a T-statistic value of 0.564, and a path coefficient of 0.155. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of work motivation on teacher’s job satisfaction, with p-value < 0.05, specifically 0.000, a T-statistic value of 7.523, and path coefficient of 0.777. (3) There is a positive and significant effect of the school principal’s visionary leadership on work motivation, with p-value < 0.05, specifically 0.002, a T-statistic value of 3.121, and a path coefficient of 0.631.

Abstract

This research analyzes the effectiveness of the Tasmi' method in improving class 10 students' memorization of the Al-Qur'an in the MAN 3 Palembang dormitory. Previously, the tahfidz program still used the sorogan method which was similar to quantitative method with an experimental design, where students are given a pre-test before implementing the Tasmi' method and a post-test afterward. Data was collected through an oral memorization test. The pre-test results showed that the students' memorization scores ranged from 5.67 to 7.33 with an overall average of 6.36. After implementing the Tasmi' method, the post-test results showed a significant improvement with an average score between 6.67 to 7.67 and an overall average of 6.91. These findings show that the Tasmi' method is effective in improving students' memorization of the Al-Qur'an, especially in the aspects of accuracy, fluency and consistency. Thus, this method can be a more effective alternative in the tahfidz program in the dormitory environment.

Abstract

Pesantren is a traditional educational environment where students live together and study under the guidance of a teacher who is better known as a kiai. This paper aims to add a special study related to impact of existence in Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Tambakberas, Jombang, on the Behavior or Attitude the Religious Ethic of Surrounding Community. This paper uses a qualitative research type. And is the result of field research, And is the result of field research, the use of Sociological and Anthropological approaches by understanding socio-religious practices, this writing uses the Theory of Use of Religious Theory as a Cultural System from Clifford Geertz, to see the culture of community around in pesantren. The Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang as one of subcultural institutions introduced the idea of village Development and a center for community learning activities with Islamic principles that deal directly with all kinds of community problems. The results of writing show that pesantren play a very effective role in empowering and transforming society. Islamic boarding schools were born to respond to the situation and social conditions of a society which is being faced with the collapse of moral foundations, through the transformation of the values offered.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi diri siswa agar menjadi pribadi yang berilmu, berpengetahuan luas, dan mampu memahami ilmu yang diajarakan. Dalam islam, tujuan utama pendidikan adalah untuk meraih ridha allah swt, yang hanya dapat dicapai dengan mamahami ajarannya melalui al-qur’an dan hadits, keduanya berbahasa arab. Untuk itu diperlukan pengenalan terhadap aksara arab sejak dini. Di MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombang, siswa kelas 2 mempelajari pegon menggunakan kitab yang dibuat dari madrasah. Setelah melakukan pra review dengan wawancara kepada guru mata pelajaran pego yakni Ibu Maulidatus Sholichah, S.Pd. Siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyambung huruf pegon, terutama dalam membedakan huruf yang dapat disambung dan yang tidak. Pembelajaran yang digunakan guru masih terbatas pada metode ceramah, dimana materi hanya dituliskan di papan tulis dan kemudian disalin siswa ke buku, sehingga kurang mendukung pemahaman visual dan praktik langsung. Bahan ajar yang telah dipakai saat ini adalah kitab pegon yang kurang lengkap dan monoton dikembangkan menjadi buku pembelajaran pego yang cukup memudahkan siswa dalam memahami mana huruf yang bisa disambung dan akan meningkatkan peunlisannya juga dan disertai dengan gambar yang menarik minat siswa untuk membacanya. Terdapat tiga rumusan masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1. Bagaimana pengembangan Buku Ajar Kitab Pegon dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa kelas 2 MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombang? 2. Apakah Buku Ajar Kitab Pegon ini dapat memenuhi kebutuhan siswa kelas 2 MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombang? 3. Bagaimana respon siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan Buku Ajar pegon dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pegon? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Research and Development atau disebut dengan (R&D). instrumen pengumpulan data disini peneliti menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Untuk subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2 MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1. Pengembangan buku pegon dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan materi yang sesuai kemampuan, serta pembuatan latihan menulis secara bertahap. Buku ini disusun agarmudah dipahami oleh siswa kelas 2 dan membntu mereka lebih terarah dalam belajar menulis huruf pegon. 2. Buku ajar ini dirancang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa kelas 2. Penyajian materi yang sederhana, visual menarik, dan soal-soal yang bervariasi menjadikan siswa lebih mudah memahami isi buku dan lebih tertarik dalam mengikuti pelajaran. 3. Sebelum buku digunakan, siswa tampak kurang aktif dan mengalami kesulitan menulis pegon. Setelah penerapan buku, terjadi peningkatan antusiasme dan kepercayaan diri siswa, serta peningkatan hasil belajar dari rata-rata 68,3% menjadi 88,5%.

Abstract

Abstract: Learning the subject of faith and morals at MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombang tends to be boring. So far, teachers of faith and morals have mostly used the lecture method. Whereas students need supporting media that can help them to understand the lessons of faith and morals. Researchers developed picture storybook learning media as an effort to increase student interest in learning. Therefore, it is necessary to develop media that supports the process of learning faith and morals to achieve learning objectives. This study uses the Research and Development method or called (R&D) by following the steps developed by Borg & Gall. Starting from the preparation and data collection stage, the development stage, the product trial stage, the revision stage, the field trial stage, finally the dissimilation and implementation stage. The instruments in this study were interviews, observations and questionnaires. This research was conducted at MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombng. The results of this study indicate that 1. The application of picture story book learning media in the subject of aqidah akhlaq class II at MI Kebokicak Dapurkejambon Jombang 2. The application of the development of picture story book learning media through the Borg & Gall development model through several development procedures. Students are very enthusiastic about using picture story book media products. It is hoped that students will be able to understand the material because of its attractive appearance. 3. The form of increasing student learning interest through test results with an average value of 76% before using picture story book learning media, while an average value of 88% was obtained after using picture story book learning media. validation from material experts and design experts with the results of the validity test from the development of learning media meets the valid criteria with the results of the material validation test reaching 90% and the results of the design expert validation reaching 88%.

Abstract

Abstract: Shorof (Morphology) is an important branch of knowledge for students to learn, as it serves as the foundation of all other disciplines. Shorof plays a crucial role in forming every sentence. By studying shorof, we can also better understand and analyze the meanings contained in the Qur'an and Hadith.However, the learning of shorof is often monotonous, as the teacher explains the material while students merely listen. Therefore, the researcher introduced the practical tashrifan card teaching material, which is developed from a traditional shorof textbook focusing on the wazan (patterns) topic, specifically for third-grade students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school).This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) study. The data collection instruments used included interviews, observations, and questionnaires.The results of the study show that: 1. The practical tashrifan card teaching material is implemented using lecture and practice methods. 2 Its development follows the Borg and Gall model with several development procedures. 4. Students were very enthusiastic and found it easier to understand shorof lessons due to the brief explanations, numerous exercises, and various engaging images. 5. The improvement in learning motivation is evident from the assessment instrument results, showing an average score of 66% before using the practical tashrifan card material, and 84% after its implementation, indicating an increase in students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine two main aspects of the principal's servant leadership in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi, namely: the application of servant leadership principles in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi and the challenges faced by the principal in implementing the Independent Curriculum through a servant leadership approach. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The informants in this study consist of the principal, vice principals, subject teachers, and student representatives. The findings of the study reveal that: (1) the principal applies servant leadership principles based on five indicators. The principal actively supports teachers and students through mentoring, training, and creating a conducive learning environment. Servant leadership has been proven to help teachers adapt to curriculum changes, enhance collaboration, and strengthen teacher and student motivation in implementing the Independent Curriculum. (2) However, there are several challenges in implementing the Independent Curriculum through a servant leadership approach, including teachers' limited understanding of the curriculum, difficulties in accepting change, inadequate technological support, and varying levels of teacher adaptation to the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

The role of teachers in Islamic education is not only limited to teaching knowledge, but also as moral shapers and agents of social change. This article discusses the concept of professional teachers in the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali and its relevance in answering the challenges of Islamic education today. Imam Al-Ghazali emphasized the importance of moral integrity, sincerity, and intellectual ability in a teacher. In his view, teachers not only convey knowledge, but also instill deep spiritual values to students. This research uses a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to Al-Ghazali's works, especially Ihya' Ulumuddin. The results of the study show that professional teachers according to Al-Ghazali must have noble character, sincerity in teaching, and be an example in everyday life. Thus, professional teachers play a strategic role as agents of change in building a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also superior in spirituality and morals. This concept is very relevant to be applied in the context of contemporary Islamic education which is facing moral challenges and value degradation.
